Police Aggression Now Goes Up To 11.

Is it just me or has the police presence and aggressive nature ramped up even more in the past week or two, or maybe since the last update?

Tonight I was online and literally - literally - did nothing and got a one-star. I know, we've all been there.

But as I tried to flee, the stars kept coming. one-star, two-star... three-stars?

I fled to LSC only to find cops pulling in from the opposite entrance.

Has anyone seen THAT before? Cops somehow getting to a destination before you? New to me!

And lately, I cannot get into my apartment with a wanted level, even if there's no cops in sight. The message says, "You can't access your apartment when you have a wanted level and within sight of cops." Except, there's no cops.

I'm sorry, I know this is the 15 millionth post about the cops, but it seems to be the single biggest thing people repeatedly find unsatisfying about GTAO.

I wonder, is this something Rockstar would ever address or is their presence so aggressive for other reasons (ie. to drive players out of Free Roam and into jobs)? I dunno.

this fits well with my impression of a massive aggression bump in the NPCs. today it seemed a little more relaxed again, but yesterday i got run over again and again, had NPCs actively trying to ram me when driving, generally they were travelling at much higher speed. haven't had any unjustified police action taken against me though, so i can not confirm the OP. would fit though.

Warrants are all cleared and frankly, I'm getting tired of the police BS.

The fact you can escape from the police on a vehicle that would show up on radar or be visible for miles.... its kinda a gift. I recall in GTA IV escaping via helicopter was impossible because the search area expanded to the whole map.

when i hide underground or in buildings, they somehow spot me for a few seconds before losing me, then managing to spot me AGAIN while having no visual of me at all, im not shooting of course, so that wouldnt be the cause. cops in online are just annoyingly terribad

Haven't had this happen to me, but I just replied to Hazencoke on another thread and the same thing happened to him.

 

Couldn't be a console only problem could it? Is it only happening on XBOX or PS3? I'm on PS3 and like I said, haven't had anything like this happen.

Something weird to me happened. Me and my friend was playing in Invite Only. He's afk inside clothes store and I also afk in front of clothing store inside my parked car in the sideways. When I'm back I had 3 stars and was dying. My friend's parked car was wrecked with shotgun holes. I was wasted in the end. My friend get kicked from the game.

Sorry guys I don't see police ever being able to be turned off. I know they make millions seriously millions of gta dollars every month from kills, people paying for impounds and damage to players cars who are obsessive about the exterior taking no damage so they take it to lsc every time it's dent or a headlight is busted, at the very worst a possible destroyed pv insurance payment.. really think of how much they cost you alone multiply that times a million players... TLDR: cash cards

I think Rockstar knows what they are doing with those updates. Called me paranoid but they definitely made the cops waaaaaay harder and the gangs such as the lost, the mercenaries, and etc spawn infinitely during missions having like 20 bikers chasing you down at a time and spawn right f******g behind you too causing you the mission. Im calling their bluff and i think if anything they are doing it on purpose just to screw with us sitting back laughing at all of us and also for bitching and moaning about the heists and other ****. It was NEVER this ridiculous when online first started and i can't be the only one noticing this.

yea the cops are just bad in general. appearing out of nowhere, lightening speed, godly eye sight, telepathic powers to see thru walls and know exactly where you are, the aggression level is beyond ridiculous.

 

I really hate when a cop suddenly appears in front of you and you cant get around him on the road cause he somehow is able to predict your every move and block you and then he slows down to the point that youre touching and its like you become glued together.

 

and god forbid you attract a helicopter, which isnt hard, those f*ckers seem to stick to you like glue also. I thought hiding in bushes used to help evade cops, even when i manage to evade the helicopters to see their search cones, i hide in bushes and within seconds they immediately know where i am again. come on

 

Would love to have rockstar fix this cop issue, its an annoyance that shouldnt be like this

I don't like how if you fall off of a motorcycle in front of the cops...99% of the time you're dead because it takes AGES to get back up.

Yes and yes.

 

Like the motorcycle, if you try running up an awkward incline and fall down, you ragdoll for 14 minutes before you can stand up again. Forget it if police are on you, or another player is chasing you.

 

And the other night I respawned with three stars. I was really annoyed by that.

 

Also, I enjoy paying Lester to remove a wanted level that somehow reappears because the cop behind me didn't get the memo. Ja-heez!
