Okay, so, here's the thing.

Back in the time when patch 1.05 was released, I installed it and it was working perfectly fine. but for some personal reasons, I had to stop gaming for a rather long time. I updated the game to 1.11 yesterday after my 'gaming hiatus' and when I tried to play the game, it just gave me an 'alert' stating that my saves are damaged/corrupted and it just started from the first mission again. but when I deleted the updates, the saves load just fine. Now I can't go back to 1.05 either :(

I don't know what's causing this. Any ideas ?

Detective Phelps

This was a glitch with the previous patch, the new one supposedly "fixed it".

Try loading the saves whilst offline.

by 'previous' you mean '1.10' ? I'm on 1.11 already! and I installed every patch since 1.05. from 1.05 to 1.11. and if this is because of the 'previous' patch, why doesn't installing an older version (like 1.05) help ? I even reverted the game to the original 1.00 version and just installed 1.11. no luck. deleting the install data didn't help either.

and, oh, I tried it offline. no luck.

Thanks for your reply anyway :)

Okay, I discovered something else. I can't save anything while I'm on version 1.11 or anything else than the original 1.0. Not even the online saves work. It's just bad. I'm stuck whitch all the original bugs and glitches and I can't play GTA Online. Anyone please anything ?

Erm ... I think I'm confident what's the reason. I messed with my save with RedEye-X's save editor and I'm sure that's why it won't work on any other version of the game. looks like it has something to do with save encryption/decryption. I'll mark the topic solved.
