  1. 1. Do you want the cop spawn points removed from mountains, and 30000 feet up in the sky?

I don't know about you, but I am sick of driving into the mountains only to see a squad car patrolling up the mountains like it's a routine thing. I think cops should only spawn on roads, and the helicopters shouldn't spawn way up in the sky if you are in a jet.

The way they have it now definitely isn't perfect but you also can't have it be too easy to lose the cops either. I also think it might be a rendering/memory problem to some extent, I imagine they'd be able to have it work better if they had the cops in a specific position and doing a specific action even when they're not seen by the player such that you would come upon them already doing the same thing they'd be doing even if you hadn't turned and gone in their direction, but that would also take a lot more processing power to achieve (as in perhaps more than is available) and they have it this way with stuff just appearing and disappearing as you come within and go beyond visual range because that's the way they've been able to get it to work best. There are a lot of things about games I might like to be better, as I'm sure developers themselves would agree, but system limitations will always tie their hands to some extent or another.

the cop choppers leave when you shoot all the nit wits shooting out the back.

I clicked 'Yes' on both options.

In real life I don't think you would get a Ford Crown Victoria breezing up a mountain to chase a criminal.

Plus the way helicopters magically appear out of thin air in the middle of the sky. Like something out of Charmed... :(

I think mafia 2 had the best cops out of any sandbox game. They were easy, but could be very difficult, and they still were balanced.

Defeats the whole purpose of silencers doesn't it?

I know right? I am still shocked at how Jock Cranley got away with killing his wife on top of the mountain...

I don't even use them. I don't play death matches so they have no use for me.

They don't really have a set "spawn point". It's just a quick calculation of your current position, then just far enough away that you have .02 of a second to react so you stay out of their sight cone when they appear. Especially the choppers.

What? People never heard of the rangers and poilce mounties? Bitches come out of nowhere.

I voted no, just because I don't think removing them is a viable solution to the problem. The whole system could use an overhaul, but it wouldn't really possible to accomplish on last gen consoles, I dunno at this point. :p

Yes, they need to fix where the cops spawn.

No, the police helicopters don't need to stop for gas. When actual players need to stop for gas, then NPCs can stop for gas.

Your typical helicopter like the ones found in this game have a range around ~400 miles and can go like 150 mph with a cruising speed around 120 mph. Higher end helis and military helis can have cruising speeds of over 200 mph. It would be absolutely ridiculous to make them refuel every few minutes in this game, because even though that equates to a couple of in-game hours, you've probably only traveled like a mile or two of the in-game map. Would be totally stupid.
