I've been cutting Rockstar slack but they are taking really long. In a sense they are failing but they aren't losing any money. Do you think Rockstar is failing, why/why not? Ok smart ass, hit or miss a couple of weeks it's half a year, that's irrelevant, what I'm saying is this game has been out across 6 months nearly into the 7th month. Whether it's 5, 6 or 7 months it's ridiculously late to release something that was hyped and arguably the main attraction to online, take into account the most popular online games on console are renewed every year. Fact is people will buy new games and especially as more people get the PS4, pretty much every day they delay heists they're losing more players. Why do you think they don't even bother banning glitchers? They could easily ban everyone with OTT car sales, no problem but they know they'd alienate 70% of their player base. They should get their priorities straight, do one game at a time, and work out the kinks on that specific game before moving on. 5 years it took them, FIVE YYYYEEEAAARRRSSSS people, they should have extensively tested the online portion first before release so this sh*t wouldn't have happened in the first place. And, to top it all off, they still haven't released heists. Good Lord knows what's going through their minds, their more-than-capable-to-handle-this-crap minds. GTA(O) is a hell of a game, but much of what was promised at the start still needs implemented. I've little issue with content at the minute but would be severely disappointed if no effort is made to give us what is supposed to be there before time is ultimately called on the game (R* did, possibly naively, they had long term plans for the game in years to come (a bit of a lousy cop out)). At the minute though R* are falling flat on their ass with the game freezes and the invasive glitching starting to become very pronounced (problem is still fairly isolated at the minute, but if R* don't get off their ass soon it will become epidemic). As for killing 70% of a market full of glithers I'd sooner see off 70% now and look to promote the game like fury with a supportive 30% than have 70% cast a very ugly shadow for unreliability and piss poor support. If R* truly have long term plans the need to kick this menace in the nuts sooner rather than later. Also of the 70% share the glitcher might represent I'd say at least 50% of the glitchers are doing it for sh*ts and giggles and would still be game players also. I doubt 70% of the market would vanish if glitching was properly controlled and, besides, when many of the money glitches, et al were stopped, did the crowds online suddenly vanish? Haven't seen it yet. In any case, with various furore going on over DLC (especially on their own community boards) R* seem more focussed on setting a ground plan before knocking the sh*t stirrers in the head, something I'm all for. Whether we get the heists now or further down the line I'd be still be happy just to get them, but If the game can be set just right for earning a steady wage (as it were) through free roam (stuff like Casinos and Drug Dealing along with the missions and races and more enthusiastic payouts for things), then the grounds for glitching will be severly deminished, giving R* time to go after then major glitchers in earnest instead of knee jerk reactions they've been criticised for previously. They assumed its easy to make a game this big, adding cars adding details to it, buldings and decorations, so be my guest, grab a chair and let me see how it turns out. I've been unable to get on my bike because "it belongs to Jehannum". I've been stuck in the transition between garage and outside every f*cking time I used it a couple of days ago. I lost my Infernus. According to the mechanic it had been 'destroyed' but it didn't show up at Mors. Only got it back by following a bizarre procedure from the internet. I used to be a programmer years ago. I wouldn't have a clue about the 3D graphics but I'm sure I could have handled the stuff like allowing you onto your own vehicle. All of the dlc so far has not been entertaining. Cars, clothes, and weapons. How is any of that entertaining? Then there's the patches to fix sh*t, only to break something else. Now I only play 20-30 mins a day and the nerfed racing payouts have hit me hard. So imo R* is failling casual gamers such as myself. But that's because R* knows there's a lot of anticipation among fans and they want the heist DLC to feel great and be rewarding to players, so they're taking their time to perfect it just like they did with GTAV on the whole. Also, if you don't like playing the game now, I don't think heists will do much for you for more than a couple of hours.
