What do you do when someone's blasting music through their mic?

I blast music through my mic as well, and try to start a music war with the other person. What do you guys do?

I always play on mute, so even if I didn't play on mute, I would have muted everyone

I almost always play in party chat so this almost never happens. But when it does I:

 

Kill them and spawn kill them till they quit.

 

Then follow them to each new session they go to till they get offline.

 

What can I say it's a pet peeve.

Depends. If they're playing some sweet Bee Gees, I'll sing along. The GTA players, most of the time, play this horrible techno or rap. People playing GTA have the worst musical taste which is weird because GTA radio stations have some good tunes. I usually don't judge your music taste but if you're blaring it in your mic....

I usually play Boyfriend by Justin Bieber in retaliation. It works.

1. Change your chat settings so you only hear crew + friends

2. Play music really loud

3. Turn down the volume on your TV and headset

4. Plug in a headset but don't wear it

5. Fill your ears with bees wax before each session

6. Visually check for the little audio symbol next to anyone's name and mute them individually too. Just to be absolutely sure you never have to listen to anyone talk, or - worse still - listen to their music.

 

That's what I do, minus options 2-5.

 

You'll still hear people in races and missions, but you can individually mute those. Or select from the other options for guaranteed coverage.

Instead of lowering myself to their level, I usually ask them to turn the music off or they're mic off. If they don't, I just mute them or turn my chat to friends if I'm in a gun fight or something.

 

If the person is causing a lot of people in the lobby to rage, which usually happens, I'll go after them and kill them until the music is off.
