Do You Cosplay?

Cosplaying is a growing phenomenon within the gaming/anime/etc. community, so do you cosplay? I'm starting to get into cosplay, but I haven't done anything 'serious'. I'm working on a cosplay of Michael De Santa while my friends are going to be Trevor and Franklin.

I once did a sh*tty cosplay of Tommy Vercetti about two years ago with my ex.

How are you going to dress up as a heavily customisable middle aged man?

Nope. I don't cosplay. Thought about it at one point, but I don't really go to conventions that have a lot of other geeks or nerds. Hell the only conventions I go to, are auto conventions, and it has been years since the last one.

I'm wearing Patagonia right now so I'm cosplaying as a lower middle class yuppie who pretends to have an active , outdoorsy lifestyle

I AM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, BUT MY WEBCAM IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH.

Do people who cosplay also act like their character? Cause I can only picture myself trying hard to take a cosplayer out of character by asking them personal questions or stuff that was only answered in that one page of that one comic.

I don't like the whole nerd/comic book culture very much :/

Most don't. Some might do, but the vast majority just dress up like them.

When I cosplay I usually only act out of character when having a conversation. If someone comes up and says like "nice costume" or "Hey, can I take a pic of you?" then I act in character.

I used to wear a Hawaiian shirt in junior high, and I liked to think I was Tommy Vercetti when I wore it. I probably looked more like Jimmy Buffet than Tommy Vercetti, though.

Sometimes I get drunk at parties and wear nothing but a loincloth and fur boots. Does that count?

No cant say that I ever have and ever will. It's just something that doesn't appeal to me.

Save the dressing up for Halloween or leave all the cosplay to sexy Jap chicks or Jessica Nigri.
