Switching Platforms

Recently a few of my friends (friends I actually know) started playing GTAO but on Xbox and I have PS3. I've been playing GTAO since the beginning and have now unlocked the minigun so I've unlocked just about everything there is to unlock. Would you ever trade in and switch consoles to play with???

 

 

*****Another thing I'm considering is what if GTA comes out on the next-generation consoles. (Rumored date is June)

Would you be able to transfer stats?

No, gta is a prized possession of the Xbox 360 and ps3.

We're not giving it to pc or ps4 or x1.

Never. I've been a fan of Playstation since 2002 and even though my game freezes like crazy, I will never switch to XBOX

I play on xbox; I say; if you could use same character; switch if you like; but otherwise no. You played so far; it's a shame if you lose all your progression.

 

Play on the console you like, not the one your friends use. I myself will buy a xbox one when it comes out in the Netherlands; but if I had money to spare I would also buy the PS4 both consoles; last, current and next gen, are awesome and have their pro's and con's.

We've been able to transfer our stats before with other cross-gen titles (battlefield, fifa) so why not with GTA?

 

If it came out on PS4 for a reasonable price then I would definitely think about buying it, depends what else was coming out in that time period and if my friends were doing the same.

Even if I lost everything on PS3 I would start again on PS4 if it was released.

 

I would imagine they can transfer your account over though as it's cloud based.

I think if you were to switch from PS3 to PS4 or Xbox 360 to Xbox One, the accounts would probably still be the same.

All of your stats would be there, it's all in Rockstar's cloud servers.

You wouldn't be able to transfer stats.

 

That save is tied to that account on that system/network. R* would have to use someway to link that save, to your Social Club, then allow it to be transferred if you switched systems. Which would be a brilliant idea.
