M22
I think more features like cut content that shouldn't be, hopefully one of the big firsts are safehouses for SP and i think drive thrus are a pretty neat idea, and just maybe more interiors. BlackNoise
Addition, not subtraction. Some fans didn't like the driving in GTA IV, so R* fixed the problem by destroying what other fans loved. Instead, they should've worked on an option for those who wanted a more responsive "arcade-like" feel. Relationships weren't the problem in IV. It was the annoying way R* programmed them. It was nice to have vehicles and/or weapons delivered to you, but it was frustrating how sensitive your friends were. And their timing was terrible. I hope they just make a lovely new map, drop an improved GTA V on top of it, and call it whatever. This is one of the reasons development was so much faster in the 3d era. It was the same sh*t, different location, with new features. D-N-A, matajuegos01 and B Dawg

TheMantisDied
I think it would be great if they used some of the play mechanics from Infamous 2, like the parkour style of movement, so we don't go bouncing into walls that are just out of reach. I love the GTA series, but the lack of ability to climb, unlike a normal human being, is just frustrating, especially when it looks like the hill you're trying to climb will be ok to do so, and then "falling", because the grade is too steep? Puh-leeze! Also, what is up with the ladders? My character will sometimes get on one at the top, but more than likely will just fall, cos the retarded twat can't seem to fathom that that 50-foot drop might just hurt, or kill him Heh. Here's a thought for GTA7 - Ultra Real: You pay $100, and get a Slim Jim to jack cars. No disc required LOL
Rainbow Party
By knowing they can't please all the fans with 1 game. Maybe they will go back to something more serious like IV since V was quite goofy. I think they like to switch back and forth between crazy and serious. And yeah maybe they'll make a bigger map, every game seems to try to have the biggest maps now.
Gnocchi Flip Flops
How can VI top V? - By adding elements to the game as opposed to removing: Keep the arcade driving but add a IV-esque option. Give the story and open world an appropriate mix of seriousness and humor. Add cars, don't replace or rename them if they are well liked [and surprisingly the generic cars in IV had a lot of fans] and create a balance of generic cars, middle cars, and high-end cars. Lastly, do not remove the features that were successful from previous GTA's like clubbing, properties, restaurant interiors, the ability to enter interiors post-mission, et cetera. That is how VI could top V. In all honesty, V wasn't the ultimate GTA to me. It didn't provide a more impressive experience than it's predecessors besides it's graphics. NYC PATROL
GTA V unfortunately was hyped beyond belief. I too was caught up in the hype. There is a ton of stuff they can add/improve upon: - Buying penthouses/mansions - Renting apartments/hotel rooms - Gambling (casinos, horse racing, underground fights, lottery) - Drug selling - More garage space - Bigger and more varied map than V. (Let's face it Blaine County was a lot of the same. Still a helluva good map though) - One gigantic city that is 2 to 3x the size of Los Santos in V Or 2 different cities each equal to the size of LS. - More interiors - Improved A.I. - Military/National Guard chases you at max wanted level. - Better car damage - Design your own paint job/picture in custom shop. - More cars and people on the streets. - Dynamic ped behaviors (Less scripted actions) - Pedestrians using all forms of transportation - Airport lobby interior - Multiple planes taking off/landing - Explorable hospitals and police stations - Explorable skyscrapers (Take elevator to different floors) - More businesses to buy/manage - Bring back pool / bowling minigames etc. etc. etc. Biggie Kaniff and Gnocchi Flip Flops
o0eVe0o
to me 5 isnt hard to top its still missing alot of the stuff that actually made the game fun il have to see what paid dlc is like before i decide, but yes obvious conclusion any next gta that comes out for new consoles an pc only is going to smoke gta 5 most likely. we had multiple characters now i want a gta with multiple cities if they made their first true next gen game with liberty sa an vice all in 1 travel by plane would be cool, we should be able to plane travel to the snow town tbh, Edited March 24, 2014 by o0eVe0o

Hodgey.
You could say that there are a number of ways that they could improve on GTA V. Such as: Better stroyline Better graphics Larger map More interiors More vehicles More clothing options New side missions (drug selling etc) I've named a few of the obvious ones but there are many many more. BLOOD
Just like the way the topped GTA and GTA2 with GTA3 being the first 3D game and changing the Genre forever,i see that happening with The first Next-Gen GTA (or GTA6).I wouldnt lists that much because at the moment after playing and watching my brother play Infamous:SS on the PS4 i am f*cking hyped for GTA6 or next-gen GTAs (or even a next-gen port of V) so here is some things that should be 100x Refined: *Most of What the HD Era Brought to the Franchise and Genre,I love the way we could watch tv shows in IV and V,with the next game i want it to have more than 2/3 channels and be cloud-supported. *The Strip Club and Hookers Interactive evolved alot in the HD Era but OMG with next-gen i want to see them Hookers and Strippers so DAMN Real (Lara croft style),I love how we could do alot of things in Strip Club in V i.e.Drink,Flirt with the Strippers,Watch them Dance by the Pole side and even Make it Rain hope that in the next game but more refined (afterall V was the only game that evolved the Strippers' Interactivity since 2002's Vice City, which brought it to the Franchise). *A Full on cockpit cam for every vehicles (and the Hood Cam can still be kept),and the ability to do Shotgun Driveby which TLAD introduced and was also in V should return. *More Interiors (I am sure this is were next-gen GTAs will mindblow alot of people). *The 3D Minimap GTA5 introduced to the franchise and genre (now also in Infamous 2nd Son) should be the Standard Minimap for future GTAs. *The Timelapse Event to start a mission which was first seen in GTA5 (now also implemented in Infamous 2nd Son) should also stay. *Maybe A More Bigger map than V,i dont mind a return to just a City-Only map,and maybe a change from the Three Main Locations (LC,SA and VC) although it would be great if Vice City gets an HD Re-imagination to make it fair and prevents fans bashing. *A greater refinement of the Franchise Auto-Aiming,and maybe a little refinement to GTA5's Cover system,Super Advanced AI etc. That all i could think of,but damn in may we will all see the first next-gen "GTA Clone" which is looking great but unfortunately have to wait till the end of the decade (2020) for a new installment, hopefully not lol . Gnocchi Flip Flops
Why do people expect the cockpit view feature all of the time? It will never be implemented, Rockstar always recycles interiors on their cars.
Rainbow Party
I still wish for a cockpit view though, and why not a first person view on foot too. It can't be that hard, if they don't include it it's just because they are lazy. And I don't mind the recycled interiors for cars. I heard and read that GTA3 was the last game in the Franchise to have a Top-down view (making it also the only game since GTA evolved into 3D back in 2001 to have 4 on-foot camera modes) hopefully just like the Vehicles' 4 Cam modes the On-foot will also re-introduce a 4th Cam mode and yeah the First Person View will be great or maybe with the next-gen GTAs Rockstar could add an option called "Legendary Cam Mode" and it would including the Top-Down View,it will be great and a Fine throwback to Old GTA fans Edited March 25, 2014 by Blood-Is-in-Diamond Rainbow Party
Rainbow Party
Yeah I wouldn't mind if the new GTAs had a Top Down view but the game would probably be almost unplayable in that mode since 3D is essencial now but yes, it would be really cool. I wonder if anyone ever finished GTA 3 by playing entirely with the top down camera, there's probably one or more hardcore gamers who already did. THE_TREVALEV
I fear that we'll have to wait until the end of the new generation to have a gta that'll top this one. Can I have whatever it is you're smoking?Yeah, sure. It's called history. It took the entire PS2/Xbox generation for San Andreas to become the biggest GTA at the time, and the entire PS3/XB360 generation for V to become the current largest GTA. Just because we have new hardware doesn't automatically mean the next GTA will be the biggest one in the series. Just look at the leap from SA to IV. Yeah, a deeper story, prettier graphics, and better physics, but a majority of the features from SA were scrapped. Not saying that THAT situation will happen again, but I highly doubt VI will be the GTA with the most features, biggest map, largest budget, etc. You can say that they don't need to, but if they don't, they're not topping V. If it took ten years to top San Andreas, watch it take at least five more to top V. They could if they want to, but I doubt it. Plus, they'll probably wait until the end of the generation to create the largest GTA so they can overhype it and bathe in $$$$ Edited March 25, 2014 by THE_TREVALEV Rainbow Party

Harwood Butch3r
I know something so simple that GTA VI can top GTA V and that's putting more emphasis on crime than leisure. I mean I like the tennis, golf etc in GTA V and realise leisure activities have played a part for sometime, but I feel it's a focal point in GTA V more than it should be. So much so it was advertised more in the gameplay trailer than anything else. For me even if GTA VI has a smaller map and less features if it puts more emphasis on crime that I feel was somewhat lost in GTA V it would be more than enough to top it. To be honest, I'd like a balanced amount of crime and leisure if we got a Vice City, but if we got a San Fierro then I'd fully agree with you. V felt like it focused a little too much on leisure indeed. I feel like some unfortunate sacrifices were made.
Racecarlock
A pedestrian slider for consoles. To be fair, stick a "frame rate might die" warning on there, but I'd rather that than have the city be mostly dead aside from some crowded traffic lanes. I mean, the city is alive sometimes, but most of the time it feels about as populated as Sandy Shores. Also a PC release. I game mostly on consoles, but seriously, there is no reason for PC users to be out of the loop on this one. No reason.
matajuegos01
It should have a driving style like the one in IV, shooting mechaniccs from max payne 3, beautiful and meaningful countryside like RDR, the weapon wheel, darker background, the ability to let our car's engine on after we exit the vehicle, etc. Tycek and Gnocchi Flip Flops

Johan
By doing what they did great in GTA IV and not tweak it around too much to the point where they take out too many great things and replace them with bullsh*t like they did in V. Make the game LESS restricted (seriously why does it feel like you had more freedom in GTA IV compared to what we have in V? And I'm talking about in SP and MP) Longer story, MEMORABLE characters besides the ones that we see almost every 5 hours in the story.. in every GTA game there's always a few we memorize even if they rarely give us 10 missions yet they couldn't barely pull it off in this game.
