Question regarding 'Collectors Edition' of the game.

Apologies if this has been asked (and subsequently answered) before, only I did a search and nothing suitable came up.

 

I'm interested in picking up the 'Collectors Edition' of GTA V in order to have access to the cars/weapons etc. which are exclusive to this version, but I was wondering, if I did pick this version up, what would happen once I've entered the code to gain access to this content? Would I be able to continue as my existing online character (and have the cars/weapons of this DLC) or would I need to start from scratch in order to gain these CE exclusive items?

yes, its basically just a code that lets you download dlc

Thanks for the clarification, I thought that'd be the case I just thought I'd get someone to confirm it before potentially splashing out on the CE.

 

How about the fact that I have two online characters set up; presumably the DLC content will be automatically available to both if I input the code using one of them?

As soon as you enter this code, content will be unlocked for every character and for SP.
