Catchup formula needs to be readjusted for Sports Classics

I ran a near-perfect race on Grand Tour, no crashes and only one spin out. Several times I passed a guy in a custom Z-Type who had crashed or spun out, only to see the same guy speed past me a few seconds later and eventually come in first place. Not too many people have fully modded Sports Classics cars, so the ones who do immediately have a massive advantage over everyone else in the race. I am no fan of Catchup, but if Sports Classics races are to be anything other than a joke, it needs to be significantly cranked up in these kinds of races.

Catch-up shouldn't even exist. If you suck at racing, I can't see why you should be able to catch up the car that is 2km away from you... it's not fair, if you wanna win, then don't crash against the walls.

I've actually found that since most people leave unless Catchup is On(2nd only to Super Car class), I keep Catchup on, and turn Slipstream Off. Sure they may be able to catch up to ya pretty easy, but passing is another story since they can't get that insane drift boost.

Catch up needs adjusting full stop. Or removing.

I wouldn't mind if it just made someone in last place catch up to the rest of the pack after getting smashed off the road or something, but I see no reason why someone in 2nd place should be made to easily catch up to the guy in 1st without earning it.

If you don't have a custom vehicle for a certain race... Too bad.

 

 

I myself don't have a custom car for every class.. and i seriously don't give a sh*t.

 

It is what it is. Take the loss or out race the other racers.

There's too many variables in GTA Online races. In this case it was a pussy with a fully modded car racing against people with stock cars. The guy couldn't control his car, but he still won.

Host your own lobby, then and kick everyone you see as threat. Like most public hosts do.

Catchup should be a boost to players who are not in first place (increasing incrementally with your place number).

 

It should not slow down the player in first place.

 

It's sad that catchup creates an artificial timing strategy to wait to pass until the very end of the race.
