Sticky bombs should destroy tanks.

Recommended Posts

You should be able to destroy a tank with about 3 sticky bombs. The fact that you cant is mind-boggling.

Did you know the entire purpose of a sticky bomb was an an anti-tank weapon?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sticky_bomb

The Grenade, Hand, Anti-Tank No. 74, commonly known as the S.T. Grenade[a] or sticky bomb, was a British hand grenade designed and produced during the Second World War.

So yeah, pretty much zero point zero reason it takes so many stickies to blow up a tank. It would be a perfect, simple solution to tank spammers.

EDIT: For the record, I'm not saying tanks should be removed. And I understand that Jets can destroy tanks, I'm talking about being able to destroy a tank while on foot.

This ain't BF or cod. No

And the fact that you found something from WWII further proves my point of no

Do people really think we still use 1960's era tanks?

The Rhino is a Leopard 2.

It has close to 1,000 mm of rolled homogenous armor/ composite armor.

The Soviet era RPG-7 in this game shouldn't even dent the Rhino.

So, let me get this straight. You're saying that having tanks in the game is OK, but having sticky bombs blow up the tank makes it like bf and cod.

Okay then.

As much as I hate to say it, Zee has a point.

Not to mention, it's a video game. Overdoing the realism kills it at certain times. People need a proper defense against tanks instead of just running away or griefing.

So, its fine for the earlier GTA era tanks to take upwards of 30 RPG's just to get to black smoke, but the minute a new GTA comes out, tanks should be nerfed?

Jesus, this is the BF forums all over again.

The reasoning behind this is because we're talking about multiplayer here, not single player. Multiplayer should be fun, responsive and fair. Having someone tear someone to bits SO easily, without using skill, is a hold back and generally hurting the community.

We could have super powerful tanks in the past games because they were single player only.

If you don't like it find a new session or play a different game

OR WAIT! Go into passive mode and stand on something.

The fact of the matter is, the tank is unbalanced.

For a game to be fun, all the weapons need some form of balance, some way to counter them. The shotgun is powerful, but has a short range, sticky bombs are powerful but expensive etc.

The tank is like having a game of chess with a chess piece that cannot be overtaken or taken off the board, and your opponent immediately runs to it if he's losing.

As it stands right now it takes too many hits to destroy a tank. Is it realistic? Sure, but so would a sticky bomb taking it out. Modern tanks have armor, but the tracks are still vulerable. A well placed sticky bomb would have a chance of disabling even a modern tank.

When it's empty

More when some lunatic is behind the wheel/stick/controller whatever they're controlled with, it takes 10-15

I didn't hear people crying about the APC, and that thing could take almost 4 RPG's and a magazine-and-a half from the explosive AA-12.

TBPH, tanks only became an issue after the money give away + the website glitch. (Which was known about since the end of November)

^That's because the APC was extremely low powered and barely a threat. It didn't pack the punch you get from an actual full blown tank. Your argument is getting thin, bud. Throw something thats tangible evidence that we shouldn't have the tank nerfed.

This thread is about upping the damage stickies do, not removing the tank.

I honestly wouldn't mind the tank if it took less bombs to destroy. Then it would be perfectly balanced.

This is one big bullsh*t post by one big bullsh*tter.

Tanks are tanks, they should be as strong as they are. 99.99% are griefers online anyway so i honestly don't care/nor should you care if someone gets blown up/spawn killed. There are enough ways to escape and to fight back.

There is nothing worse about a tank guy shooting everyone up then a random asshole shooting someone roaming around the area, then spawn killing them while camping nearby. GTA O without an friendly fire off lobby is just something i would like to call 'camp fagatory'

But it can still be fun, if you take the bad with the good.

Long story short, stop crying.

Actually, it would be really cool if you could do something like this!

It would turn tank encounters into a tense game of cat and mouse, where the tank gunner would have to be fast and destroy the bomber before he can get close to the tank. Would atleast be better than going "Oh, this guy has a tank, better helicopter all the way to the military base just to steal a jet."

It ain't happening, also this isn't an all sweet and sour hollywood action flick where everything happens like a scripted event and you come out unharmed. You would still be spawn killed with a granade in your hand and it will explode along with you.

This. Is. The. Truth.

Seriously, tanks are ruining Freemode, with their overpowered cannon and armor.
