So do people ever join your created jobs or what?

Seriously I've been sat here for at least 20 minutes trying to get ONE person.

Even if I do get lucky enough to find someone, they crash out on the first corner and leave because they're a complete derp who has no vision more than 10 feet in front of them.

Grrrr I'm so mad.

It depends.

My deathmatches?

Only one of them, it is a storm the house type mode at the altruist cult.

My races?

A few of them, my BMX stunt challenge and my dirt bike (yes, an actual dirt bike track, like the ones in real life) race are the most common.

Either nobody joins or a supar crazy amount of people join consecutively.

I literally just had that, and then they all left before I could start. I'm gonna punch someone.

Your best bet, IMO, is to try and get into a full/near-full lobby before trying to then host your race, just to increase your invite pool a little.

The hard part, I find, is getting people to not quit out the moment they join. You can also use the method of switching matchmaking to closed, then open again, to extend the timer. I did that a few times yesterday to get good numbers in some races.

I have the best luck doing a random race first, and then hosting one of my race courses afterwards and inviting players from the previous race. if I simply host a race cold start on one of my courses then usually no one will join.

Here's the issue, coming from someone who will instantly leave a race where the host is the creator, way too many times it is terrible and fixed for the host to win. Usually it's fixed in a way so that the last turn has some ridiculous thing to it that only the host and/ or their friends would know about. Extra cheesy way for race creators to grind wins.

Deathmatches meanwhile tend to be 95% unarmed, forced only.

That said, shoot me a link to your race OP, I'd love to give it a try.

I'm actually really proud of this particular race, usually I join the ones with 5000 ramps across the ocean that you're expected to bounce over. Or a 1000 meter high ramp that you can't even climb.

But this one I genuinely think is a well made race, I might post it in the job sharing thread tomorrow, or maybe here since you asked for it :)

I might edit it first though because one of the corners is a bit more blind than I first thought.

I think I forget sometimes that since I made it I know exactly what corner is where, but you'd think after 3 laps people would STOP crashing on it lol. Oh well.

Now I'm curious! Go ahead and post it here, it's relevant to the thread. I also do race reviews occasionally, so I can even throw in a review of it and post it up by tomorrow if you'd like.

I made bunch of Deathmatches for 6 people and usually 4 to 6 people join, and im on free-aim.... I also made some fly races but nobody ever joined, and my land races suck hard.... There should be an option to join only user created jobs, specially for races...

the main problem is that people don't want good, technical and complex races. sadly, the majority of players want to race a supercar in a straight line with ketchup and slipstains on.

i had to leave my own lobbies four times only just today because once some people had joined and my set first race was done, everybody would vote for the simplest, straightest and most boring race there is. now, i could just start out the pre-lobby by setting everything to idiot settings, then switch to, let's say, utility vehicles with every help function turned off the last second before starting, but that still means i have to run that track too if i don't want to get BS points.i wished we could lock lobbies to certain settings of our own choosing. sometimes democracy just won't cut it.

I get players in my races sometimes, but I don't run them very much. Even when it's only friends and myself I don't like winning my own tracks. One of the very few instances where I feel dirty and don't like it. I would not rely on R* to keep accurate stats of your content though. I have 5 races with less than 50 community plays but somehow 6 mil community likes

My races don't get much interest, I think others think my track(s) must have nasty surprises that only I know about, but they don't.

But my deathmatch 'Subway - Die Fresh' has people join all the time.

Ketchup and slipstains? Looooool!!!!

I made a race in quite proud of. It's called Exile On Main Street. Nobody ever played it 'cause they won't join.

I like how most "offroad" tracks are rally tracks. makes me sad :(

My offroad races are off road.

My rally races are on dirt tracks.

Way too much user created stuff is just dumb, Really far between check points where you dont which way to go to it. Random ramps that if you go over full speed will take you to a completely different road. All kinds of random crap that only the host knows about. once you have this happen a few times you lose any desire to play user created content.

Anyway - That's why I don't make events, unless I'm in a lobby FULL of players. It would be best if you found players in the "Find a Group & Meetups" section, or just joined other events.
