Trials Fusion

Next-gen trials game for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Set 50 years in the future, new gameplay it adds includes tricks, FMX (Freestyle MotoCross, aka trick focused instead of time focused), a quadbike, a ton of new objects to make tracks with and lots of world and world variety to build in. Also, next-gen graphics to make you feel better about playing your evening away.

 

Youtubers have been throwing out their pre-release gameplay videos and the game will release soon (16 April for consoles, 24 April for PC), so what are your thoughts on it?

Also trials frontier is coming for mobile sometime - it could even have been released already for all I know. Discuss it as well if you feel like it.

Really enjoyed Evolution on the 360, might be getting the PC version to play with my friend next week since she's getting into gaming again.

 

Sadly I'm not really too fond of the new direction they're going here but I'm not one to judge it yet, looking forward to it already.

Trials HD and Evolution was amazing i love a good rage now and then. It will be good to play Trials on next gen it will give me something to actually turn my xbox one on lol, i do wonder how the frontier will play out on mobile. is it April 16th for both games?

According to http://www.redlynx.com/games/trials-frontier it's in 'soft-launch' (i.e. out already) for Canada and Finland and will properly release sometime 2014.

Trials is one of the best platformers I have ever played, well of course next to Super Mario Bros. I hope they take the Trials Evolution route and have map creators and such. I downloaded so many maps for Evolution, I think I lost count after 75. It was limit less and they didn't cost anything, they were all free.Trials HD and Evolution had the best hill climbs I've ever seen in a video game. You get so much bang for your buck with these games. I'm guessing it will be between $15-$30. Which is well worth it.

and alot of them created maps are amazing some of the stuff that people made on Evolution i didn't think was possible in that game and i can't wait for Fusion creative maps if the map creator option is there that is, also all the mini games are alot of fun too. i find myself going back to Trials now and then to replay them

It has a map creator, you can see it in the menus of gameplay videos (although the people playing were only able to access the campaign).

 

What I'm hoping for is that track central is the same for all systems - i.e. cross platform, along with Leaderboards. It's not as hard as having cross-platform multiplayer, and it wouldn't fragment the user base.

At the very least I'd like the leaderboards to be synced for all. Here's to hoping...

I'm all for sharing leaderboards and whatever else with any system. I think it would be a good thing and it deffinatly would noch up the competition.

 

I know this game is comming out on X1 and probably PC. What other systems is it comming out for? I was always bumbed that the PS guys couldn't expierience Trials HD or Trials Evolution. I'm starting to dislike exclusives more and more each year. But I am all for keeping certain games for just next gen and others for current gen if it helps keeping down issues with the games. God, you PS guys have no idea what you have missed. I'm am all for sharing though. Much love for the community today

Did you even read the OP? It's coming for the PS4 too. Open your eyes. Anyway, IMO, this doesn't look special at all. I'm not really into these games, so people have different tastes. PS players definitely haven't missed anything.

Well, in terms of platformers, Trials is a very good one - if you're not interested in platformers then it simply isn't the kind of game that you'd like.

 

However, probably the best part of the game is the 'track' creator. It has a ton of objects, sounds, and game-maker style inputs, outputs and processes; it makes the game so much better. Although it's a platformer, you can create FPSs, racing games, things like golf, rc toys and minesweeper - so there's that.

Then why are you even looking into this topic if your not interested? Super thanks for your spell checking abilities. You are by far the best spell checker on here. I try and send love out to PS guys and you have to shi*t on it. I could have been like "PS doens't deserve Trials" and then you would have probably argued that you guys deserve it too. But I aint' like that. Yes, PS guys have missed out on Trials. Ask that to the first guy you talk to that gets the new Trials that is into platform games. There is no reasoning with you, is there? Quit hating the world please. LOL...............Are you the "Error 37 guy" in disguise. I'm starting to think that. I might start a poll.

How can PS players have missed a game that isn't even a system seller? I mean sure some guys might like Platformers, there are better one's than this. But I never said this was a bad game in the first place, I voiced my opinion and said this doesn't look special at all, which I personally think. I am not hating on this game. I usually play trial games on the internet, those flash games.

 

And to be honest, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank, Rayman Legends are examples of really fantastic platformer games. So in a way I do like platformer games.

Here is some new extreme tracks on the new Trials game. I will say though, these two guys are horrible at this game. You can tell they have not played Trials in the past very much. What are they doing in that studio? Do they just pull straws everyday to see who is doing what? LOL

For those of you buying the game, will you get/have you got the deluxe edition? It's the base game with a season pass for 6 DLCs.

 

And for those of you who hate the idea of DLC, previously Trials is very good with their DLC - though I wonder how 6 will pan out.

Its been out since tuesday, the digital version is the one that just came out.

 

Either way, the physical edition will include the season pass for $40 while the digital can be split into $20 for the game and $20 for the pass.

See, could've got 2 games out on gamefly for cheaper. Plus, you'd get them in one day considering there's a distribution center in PA.

I'm done for the night though. Had a few views but there is a bunch of Trails channels happening today. I've only broadcasted a few times; all of my titles are "2 pugs and 1 human play game x".

 

The game is totally enjoyable and worth the $20...of course.

 

The way they rope you in with the short courses and two clicks until the next course starts right up is totally manipulative...makes you play until your eyes go buggy.

 

So far the only thing I hate is the stupid email system for notifications. Any game with fake email should be shot, but this one seem particularly bad and not because it is hokie, but because it just plain sucks.

I agree.

 

But also I know it is nitpicky but the menus and sub menus really bug me, I have a strong hatred for either overly complicated or overly jazzed up menus. I just need simple text that isn't trying to eye rape you and that is it.

 

That and the awful menu music that always makes me think hulk hogan is about to bust through the tv, are about all that I dislike about it.

 

Though I only played the trial, the looks of the outfitting types and bikes so far don't seem very good. I was hoping for much more options and customization. Kind of annoying that painting a bike black doesn't paint the whole god damn thing.

 

I also feel that the futuristic-ness of it has kind of diminished it somewhat. I liked the authentic bike types and biker related looks. Now it just seems a bit weird and out of place. The whole draw to trials for me at least was there was no set theme for the game. Any level could be completely different. So I don't know why they felt the need to make it all futurey.

 

I will give it some time and see how it goes but it hasn't blown me away nearly as much as Evo did.

 

I will only judge it by the quality and geniusness of the user created maps. So until then I think I might hold off my purchase, it is a little steep in price as well.

I notice when I get stuck on the extreme tracks or others, say its a wall or something you just need to "hop" over, I just press back,forth,back,forth,back,forth, really fast (when you try and go over it) and 90% of the time it works and you make it somehow.

Just saw Rooster Teeth try it out, looks a bit weird but it's expected instead of seeing it copied and pasted, waiting on my PS4 before I decide to buy it sadly but for now Evolution on my xbox will fill me in

Those Extreme tracks live up to their name. I'm finding them alot harder then the past games. But I do like the challenge to it. I'm also very competitive with setting times on tracks and the challenges on each track gives it more playability too which I like.
