Don't know if its been noticed or mentioned but it seems the buildings under construction are being slowly completed. Maybe I'm just online a bit to much.

Scary Éire

Wouldn't make sense if GTA Online takes place before GTA V.

it does.

Eh that was his point, GTAO is set before the events of GTAV, if buildings were slowly being built in online then how come they were unfinished in GTAV,

Ive made this same misjudgement before. If you aren't used to Mirror Park ie: you might only go there to escape the cops or by accident because there is nothing there. If you explore it you will notice 2 almost identical cul-de-sacs. One is under construction, the other one is a new build with empty properties but still a semi-construction site.

If you drive down the wrong road its easy to think 'I've been here before and these house were still under construction'

Just uninstall the game to find out.

Play from the disc without updates.

I have the digital copy only so I will not be helping you.

It's a video game. It's not real life.

Just saying. Not everything will be completely logical. It also never snows in Los Angeles, but there was snow on Xmas. Not saying they are updating the map, but I would not rule out the possibility only because of a story line conflict. They can change whatever they want at any time.

They have stated (R* that is) many times that GTAO and V are two separate entities. Updating GTAO won't influence V because they are essentially different universes. As such, they can also add content for V after the storyline completes without ever crossing into GTAO.

Also, its just code. They can do whatever they want with it.

Actually, it does snow in LA.

They had snow there back in 2008, too.

On-topic; You're seeing conspiracies that aren't there, OP. It's nice, but it's wishful thinking. R* aren't going to waste time with half-constructed buildings being slightly more complete with each update they do when they have cash cards to sell and Heists to not-release.

Buy cash cards and the mule-high club pops up 100% finished with Candy Suxxx's tits lit on the right side of it.

To the issue concerning the buildings not being finished in GTA V, GTA Online was sent 3 months before GTA 5, we are 6 months in so if R* wants to be realistic maybe they are continuing the building process on both because they are "caught up together". Very unlikely, but the realism and detail gets me excited, and i hope this is the case. That being said it probably wont happen.

A few flakes is hardly a comparison to an all white Xmas. It also snows here in SF, where I've lived my entire life, only I've never seen it.

Every now and then someone on /r/GrandTheftAutoV claims the same thing (see here for an example). Once pictures are provided, comparisons are made with older ones other people have taken and it is concluded that no progress has been made at any construction site. Some people simply don't pay enough attention to their surroundings.

With that in mind, the only thing that has changed since release is the structure at Vespucci Beach.

They probably claim this because they don't realize there's a cycle. As its been stated before, there's a construction crew at one of the building sites that builds the same wall every day. You can watch them over the course of a day build the wall and the next day it goes away again. So yes, you can see certain places in the game being built. They don't stay forever.
