Why complain?

Alright, I haven't been very active here on GTA Forums like the first few weeks when I first started. But when I logged back on, I say TONS of people complaining about Shark Cards, telling people not to buy them because thats what Rockstar wants, saying that Rockstar is just thirsty for some money. But heres the thing, what if they are collecting more money for more upcoming games? You are helping them out, you are probably helping the whole GTA series. So why complain about Shark Cards? If you don't wanna buy them, they don't, that doesn't mean that you have to go around telling people not to buy them because you get mad at the fact that the money goes to Rockstar, its all business. What if they are making the next GTA right now, without you even knowing. Do they need allot of money to make it? hell yeah they do

only a few people complain about shark cards, the rest make fun of it. If you were here on a daily basis, then you wouldn't have missed out on threads that involve shark cards. It's like a ritual here

 

 

I support shark cards cause they really do help out R* but I myself would never buy one. Too expensive...

If I would have 100 trucks in my company and I suddenly find twice the amount of contracts, I will keep the same sh*tty minimum legal wage for the actual truckers and buy me 4 more houses and 5 more cars.

 

If you THINK I won`t fire the next trucker that thinks he`s owed more than the dust on his hide and hire one of the 10 lined up to take his job, then you DO need to get out more. Feel free to think I am out to make money for yourself, or make your life easier... that`ll make MY life REALLY easier.

The constant threads are free advertising. Like, Rockstar didn't announce the mega shark card, they just released it. I'd have never known about it had someone not made a thread of it.

The R&D for a video game is NOTHING like that of manufacturing a car for example. That amount of money or anything close to it is not necessary or even realistic. I can assure you their profit margin was mind-boggling. Time is the primary component. At the end of the day they're in the business of entertainment and they see opportunities to profit and ergo go after it. To a degree though there is some definite fault with R*. I won't deny that. We as customers can only hope they address these issues in the next installment and correct what they can during this run.

 

Here's the thing about your typical mind-set of the average gamer:

 

- Lazy

- Childlike (whines)

- Hypocritical (preach of glitching/cheating yet do it themselves/make issues worse)

- Want what they want when they want it

- Feel incredibly entitled

- Feel they know what they're talking about

- Find something to blame for a shortcoming (like Cash Cards, knock on them - some it's a running joke, some are actually serious)

- Incredibly cynical

- Have little ability to appreciate

- Can't constructively criticize

- Can't take constructive criticism

- Expect the world

- Disappointed far too easily/expect a flawless product

 

Don't believe me? Welcome to this forum, you must be new here. You will see a lot of invalid points, stupid opinions and nonsensical arguments. I'll give you some time to get adjusted.

In your opinion, were those money well spent? We are still waiting for heists and stock market and we received about 10 new cars, 4-5 guns, some half assed missions and some lame clothes and make-up options. So, where ARE those money that you`re talking about?

 

And OF COURSE they already started making GTA 6, for which they`ll let FREE hype do their otherwise paid PR work, just as they did with THIS GTA. Nothing new, but that has already it`s funding set in stone, and that`s not your cash cards.

It's called hating, OP. Why people are hating on cash cards - since you know... you DON'T have to purchase any of them - is a better question.

 

Like I've said before, people who do purchase the CC's are players who either don't have the time to invest to the get money they need for their in-game purchases or players who don't want to grind the same missions over and over again.

not just complaining about shark cards but complaining in gerneral alot of posts i clik on in this forum theres sum 1 bitchin bout summet real pointless or doesent need to be said or reali isent the place.

swear sum peeps are on here just to bitch about every little fault about the game, if a game is pissin u of that much & theres so many faults and problems with it just dont play it yh it as its down points as all games do, but if you luk at it from the bigger picture gta v is seriously sik game!

anywaysssss bk to shark cards... hmmm i brought 1 once & i probaly wont use them again tbh, but that 1 time i did buy 1 think it as like £3 wich isent much it reali helped me out at the time.

rockstar is a huge company & they obv gota make as much money as possible to keep that going e.i payed staff, new projects all diffrent things plus they wanna make a reasonable profit on top of that, i think any 1 in there shoes woulda done the same & thought shark cards are a gd idea, they probaly havent made as much as they would like due to money glitches and stuff.

same with other games tho, take black ops u have to pay for there new map packs & u egt 4 new maps, in gta u buy shark cards & den u get what ever u wanna buy in the game

Yes and no. It really depends how much liberty Rockstar has. I`ll elaborate:

 

Back in the day, Bioware started working on SWTOR before they were bought by EA. Even after they were bought, they still had 100% autonomy, in terms of what they want to do with their game ( http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.405515-EA-Gave-BioWare-Complete-Creative-Control ) . It was only when the game failed really hard that they started to go into full "EA Mode", with pretty much going full blown microtransactions.

 

So, the billion dollar question is: Is this slap in the face worth of missing content Rockstar`s, or TT`s decision, at the 6 months mark?
