Spectating Glitch

I was late on an invite to a race, so I decided to spectate it instead.

The race was great, though toward the end of the race, my screen went black and i was spawned in a first person view on the streets of the race.

My mini map appeared with two checkpoints, though I couldn't move or use weapons.

But then I was randomly pressing buttons to get out, I noticed someone shooting at me, but they were invisible.

Then I was able to bring up my weapon wheel to shoot them. I didn't lose any health and was able to shoot them, only if I was aiming directly at them.

 

Has anyone experienced this before? I know the thread where someone was watching TV in there apartment, and experienced a first person view, but has anyone been stuck in this while spectating a race?

Something similar happened to me.
