Saintdestroyer
I can't be sure but I would put my money on it! It just seems too much of a coincidence now that everytime I am near the train track, no matter where i am, the train is always there going past me. What do you guys think? P.S Not a hate topic, just an observation.
PetsOvernight
Yep it spawns randomly like cars, unlike RDR where the trains were on a loop and shown on a map, on a set schedule. I much preferred that way... as now trains pop in and pop out...
Gunslinger_GK
Yes, they do. But it's great tho, you don't have to wait if you're looking for one. CantThinkOfOne2013
killahmatic
everytime I am near the train track, no matter where i am, the train is always there going past me. it does. it spawns when your near a track, not like RDR where its actually traveling around the map. though it seems like when I'm wanted, I can only get it to spawn at certain sections Edited March 22, 2014 by killahmatic

Yes, if you wanted to mess around with a train in Red Dead Redemption, you would have to wait FOREVER!
universetwisters
Not for me. I had to wait a good five or so minutes at the Paleto Bay railyard before a train came around.

Yes, if you wanted to mess around with a train in Red Dead Redemption, you would have to wait FOREVER! That's because there was one one train. If GTA V included a train that didn't spawn, a good idea would be two or maybe three trains circulating the map.
Cutter De Blanc
After it spawns it respawns again approx. 1 in game hour later. This is true with many similar events in this game. Edited March 22, 2014 by Cutter De Blanc
Cyper
It's quite sad, to be honest, but not as sad as the fact that you can't drive the train.
Saintdestroyer
It's quite sad, to be honest, but not as sad as the fact that you can't drive the train. They could of alleviated this problem by including multiple looks to the train that could spawn, that way it would be less noticeable.
ainsz
It's done as a bit of a set piece I think, not just random. Same as if you sail from the lower end of Vespucci Beach towards the airport, you'll see a black Shamal descending on your left and a commercial plane will fly overhead as you pass the end of the runway. Everytime. Edited March 25, 2014 by ainsz
BlackNoise
^ Yeah, I get what they're doing, but I wonder if R* understands how much people play GTA V? I rather stuff just be random. They sometimes go for that film look too much and it can wreck the feeling of a living, breathing world. Cutter De Blanc
