Betting + Winning = A loss in money ?

Good Morning Peeps (Morning in England anyways)..

Last night was doing a spot of racing and everytime i bet on myself and won i lost the money i had bet..

 

I noticed it on 4 Way Madness, i've raced this track quite a bit and i'm always confident that i'm going to do well (if not win). So 14 people in the race i decide (as i fancy my chances) i'm gonna wack a bet on myself.. So a $1000 i place, i race, i win.. Race over Possing Screen for the winner (Salute from my guy) and i notice Betting Losses -$1000..

Strange i thought, maybe just maybe i placed it on the wrong person, accidentally moved another guy when selecting maybe ??

Next race back to 4 way madness Still 12 People are racing, this time making sure i definitely choose my guy, and bop a sly $2500 on myself (making sure it is me and no-one else) Race, Win, again notice Betting Losses -$2500.. GOD DAMM

Raced a few other tracks too, Dropping In was one, just a $500 bet but same thing Minus Betting cash..

I've done a fair few races in my GTAO time just over a 1000, and if i say so myself can hold my own in racing.. but never had this happen and i bet quite often..

Anyone else had this happen or have any idea WTF ???

Yes other were placing bets to.. I keep my eyes out for the Betting canceled notice at the start of the race, and usually if the betting is canceled you don't lose your betting money on the Winners Possing screen, plus in the race result table thingy i could see others had lost there money (which should be the case if they didn't win anways)..

Is it possible that it said you lost it when you gained it instead?

 

Did you check the amount before and after the race? Might be the case (says -1000 when really +1000)

If that's the case, I will need something else than my hands to facepalm with. Simply hands would not be enough for that huge fail.

A couple of my Friends and I were racing and Noticed we were all Losing our Bets, there were 3-4 of us racing and each time we placed a bet that we would win......we ended up losing that bet, we even did a round or two where one of us was appointed to win.......everyone lost the bet if they placed it on themselves

 

Now if i Placed my bet that someone else was going to win ...and they did, my bet would show up as a positive winning bet,

 

every bet we placed on ourselves ended up being a lost bet, the only positive bets were those placed on another driver with that driver winning the race.....

First 2 times i only checked the money on the Winners Screen and then on the results screen where i could see that on both i had lost my betting cash..

 

The Third time it happened i did pay attention to my overall cash status, and sure enough i only gained the money i had got for winning the race my betting cash was taken away ???

 

After the third time it happen i didn't feel like placing any other bets, i will give it another try tonight when i'm on and see what happens...

It's been going on the last 2 patches, winner always looses the bet. I've given up on betting as a result until it's fixed.

I only place small bets now after reading how it more or less works from the forums here. Bu can't say I've bet won, then been cheated my the game. Seems screwwwwwy

I never knew that.. Cheers for the info... It must be a on/off sort of bug thing, as i race nearly every night and the first time it happened to me was yesterday...

 

Hymm.. Might place a small bet tonight in the way that the other thread describes and see what happens... If i lose my cash again, then no more betting till next patch for me too.

When someone else bets 2500$ on them selves then I put 100$ on myself, if I lose I'll just lose 100$ but if I win I get about 1900$
