Okay so Sean Tracy clarified the whole bit about interiors:

Makes sense, if they were to procedurally generate every building interior in ArcCorp it would probably just end up being like No Man's Sky where everything starts to feel really samey and uninteresting after a while. And ArcCorp is just one planet so it's not like we'll have a lack of places to go.

3.0 will be when I reinstall it, especially since it'll come with the delta patcher. That means no more 30GB+ updates and a lot more frequent smaller updates.

I am excited about this :lol: specially if you get invited to the ptu they update everyday it was a nightmare lol but now the developers will also benefit updating their build's much faster.

Too Busy to piss your time away? Tired of having to do stuff for yourself? Subscribers "Cargo" Town Hall in 2m49s - #nobullsh*t

 

For The Cargo system used in Star Citizen, it was important to be able to physically interact with the cargo, from a first person perspective while also not forcing the player into tedious gameplay.

 

The system uses two methods to ensure a balance of fun and speed.

 

Not being forced to constantly, manually place the cargo while allowing those citizens who wish full role play was key.

 

Automated cargo transfers will not take time to load.

After some time, the cargo will simply appear.

There are plans to flesh that out a bit more realistically in the future.

 

Large Cargo will only auto populate in 3.0. In the future, There is a planned set of drones and loaders so it can be done manually.

There was no information offered on how frequently cargo within the derelict ships will respawn.

 

The intent is that if a player stumbles upon a previously picked wreck, it should be empty.

 

If one player tries to adds cargo to an area that is occupied, it will simply only show the available space that is currently available. If you had a NOX and two people standing in the cargo bay, you will not be able to add cargo until it's clear.

 

There are measures being considered to prevent trolling by stacking cargo in front of critical doorways.

 

The Hull C continues to be worked and we should see an update on the 30th of November.

 

They are tracking the game mechanics associated with unloading such a large craft that can't simply land. You may need to find a suitable station capable of dealing with that specific ship.

 

The man portable small cargo boxes are persistent, and because they are fully physicalized, any player can simply walk away with it. This is also true for Speeders. Remember to lock up your ship.

 

Cargo should be secured on the grid, but you can physically move the boxes around. Loose boxes are at risk of being stolen or flying around the ship.

 

Cargo boxes can be dropped out the back of a ship. If you happen to be within the effects of gravity, the box will fall to the surface.

 

There are a range of containers being supported to include 1, 2, 8 16 24 and 32.

Larger containers will be made in the future when required.

 

There is no systems in place to define Physical Ownership as of yet. Whoever holds the box, is the owner in 3.0.

 

If someone steals a NOX(space-bike) from your hold, you will not be able to spawn it until you file a claim against it. The person who stole the NOX, may use it but he will never be able to spawn it.

 

Aurora Cargo Store All boxes are not in game yet, but the Aurora and similar ships will have a placeholder for 3.0.

 

Blowing up a ship will result in less cargo Booty than if you take the effort to capture the ship intact.

 

Carrying cargo up the ladder in a 300, is not possible, but you can always auto load and auto unload, if that ship is rated to carry it.

 

And Finally, Cargo can not be destroyed in 3.0.

 

There you go, no bullsh*t.

last time i tested that game they had just implemented planet landings. and it was incredibly bad optimized. it made me think of a kind of kids mastubation area, where kids could mastubate with their configs. absolutely not playable for not ultra high end rigs. i backed that game, and i bought an avenger pack. and even if i wish C. Roberts to succeed. last time i tried the game i had the feeling the wait was really long

They haven't implemented planet landings yet, that's going to be in the next update. What are you talking about?

really. then it was planet atmosphere entering then. there was a space base and a planet nearby where you could go to. to be honest the game was so laggy, that i exited after few minutes. after all those years still no planet landing. i thought it had been implemented for years??

There has been a space station that you can move around in for a while now and it's in orbit of a big planet. Then there's the Area 18 which is kind of a city hub area on a big planet, but you can't really fly in or out of there yet, it's a separate area you have to load into. But yeah update 3.0 should be coming out in the next few months(hopefully) and you'll be able to land on and explore several moons. It'll add a bunch of other gameplay mechanics as well and I've heard they've improved the performance a bit as well.

Yea the nightmaristic is expected cause it's alpha that's the main reason they are testing 3.0 before public release to get MOST of the bugs causing the lag but rest assured their are plenty of more bugs yet to be discovered to fix.it's necessary for a public release Wich takes time to find and fix so a person like you can log on in the near future and experience the minimal lag and improve on future build's but this project is far from complete even though 3.0 reaches a milestone with boots on the ground and many features to experience in a small Galaxy (3.0) i mean 3.0 is a test bed on creating galaxies like ark corp upcoming update (3.1) but I hear they are going to improve on the netcode but they didn't say when probably when they have most of the features done.

 

 

What avenger do you have may I ask?

Actually sooner than I expected. I'm not really sure who the 1st wave of testers are? Are they just sending random invites? Regardless even if you can't get in yet, the cool thing is that the NDA is now lifted so people can record and show gameplay.

I haven't updated the front page in awhile. Mostly because I'm lazy and I don't visit the forums much as before, but also because I don't see the reason to. But yeah they're gotten an extra 24 million since January 2017.

Since they're pushing 3.0 to PTU, looks like they're trying their hardest to get it out before the end of the year.

This was so confusing yesterday night maybe wouldn't help that I was drinking lol so I get an email that everyone got but I thought it was an invitation it was an announcement so I installed the new launcher and I couldn't sign on. So now I'm just waiting for an invitation hopefully soon (I'm stage 2).

Here's the next stage, they said if the server's hold up they will be moving to the next phase.

Ok second and third wave have been invited I just got an invite and now downloading 3.0 hopefully soon to public with less bugs this is an awesome birthday gift :)

Well I made it to the ptu today after the error screen server's are not holding up.so finally after copying and deleting I load in and it's just laggy like 5 frame's per second. I pushed on to request my ship that too was buggy walking in slow motion it took me an hour just to get to my ship but I instantly died I think a ship crushed me that spawned out of no where I gave up.

2nd time I logged on it was a bit better, I made it all the way to my ship but got stuck with a bug that was stuck in the new interaction feature I couldn't steer because it was stuck choosing components in the cockpit.so trying again and it takes about 10-15 minutes to load in cause the server's aren't holding up.so it's worth waiting for them to fix most of the problems, this is good news in a way so bugs would be found and fixed by the time they makes it public.

Just read that wave 4 you need to have played one ptu version in the last 3 months for an invite so that's me out. For some reason I thought they were pushing this out to live but I assume they just meant the ptu with live sometime in the future.

What? The previous patch was more than half a year ago. That makes no sense.

 

I'm probably just gonna wait for live. From what I've seen of the current version it seems super buggy and doesn't include all the content that will be in the full 3.0 patch.

Game looks beautiful for sure. Not sure how exciting the gameplay in 3.0 is though and if it would keep me playing. They added procedural missions I believe, but I haven't heard much feedback on them.

So as I read the forum it was talked about the reason for to much lag was because (speculation) a memory leak somewhere so anyone with low ram would suffer the most still laggy if you have alot of memory but still manageable.well I only had 8gb and I was supposed to upgrade anyway so I got 8 more so now 16gb I do a bit better as far as frame rates but they still need to fix the problem. I am getting crashes every time now but at least I made it to Daymar 🌒!!!

A new game mechanic was introduced yesterday and it's claiming land.their was a handful that didn't like this idea solely because they think they won't have a fair chance to claim a good spot because cig is selling land, however people don't take account on how huge planets are.cig said if all backers bought the biggest plot we would only fill half of a moon let alone a planet.you will be able to purchase in game a plot with out spending real life money just like everything else.i do love this idea and playing other games like "elite dangerous" or "no man's sky" I so wanted this kind of feature.you can claim uncharted territory at no cost but that's like the wild west or like gtao.if you buy uee will protect your land.also I would like to add this game mechanic adds to other game mechanic like mining, farming or just to have a place to live or PvP.

Their was an update on the ptu yesterday they fixed crashes it's still laggy but I'm not crashing anymore I got to spend some time on daymar I was looking for levski but I was on the wrong moon

I don't think the land claim thing is as bad as some people make it out to be from a gameplay standpoint, buying ships is arguably worse. I'm just concerned that this whole land claim selling thing is an implication of CIG running out of money. I'm no financial expert, but I've seen some people put the math together saying that they're probably burning more money yearly than what they are getting from the backers. They probably could bring some investors in, but then they'd have to please those investors as well and it might not sit well with the backers.

I remember Chris address this, he basically said if they look like they are going to run out of money they will shift focus completely on sq 42 to finish it and use the profits to finish sc.i think with the new ship (pioneer) they got that idea of selling lots because we will need to hire a pioneer NPC/player to build our base so I think it was just a random effect from the new ship that brought us the land claiming option but that's just my thought.

 

E: on Friday though we will be able to vote for a new ship concept on happy hour.

So I looked and found levski it's on a astroid, on the map (old pic so you can see)

You have to zoom out alot it's not shown here but it's far out orbiting the gas giant, I couldn't find it before.they changed the flight mechanic a bit if you haven't played 2.5 they changed alot since then.now you accelerate normally exp. Cutlass goes 224 normal speed activate the afterburners and you'll speed up to 1122 the good part is you can leave your seat and it will continue at that speed (I'm pretty sure that's not a bug :p ).so entering the atmosphere I noticed some turbulence and im having trouble judging the speed, I crash and tumble around even when I know I'm close I slow down but i hit the ground. luckily I don't explode most of the times.their was a 1gb update yesterday I'm loving the delta patcher and now I'm starting to crash again but I could make it to dalamar astroid I walked around levski and haven't seen it all yet I'm trying to get the game to save me there so I could spawn there when I start the game I heard you can do that but I don't know what triggers it to save there.

It looks like a mini moon.i had to land away from levski cause I don't know where is the landing pad I have an idea but I don't know how to open/request to land there.i probably could make a cool wallpaper with this if I was outside with out the HUD

Oh and I suggested anyone with a stand alone ship to melt it and buy it again because you get the standard 6 months insurance but with the anniversary sale ships will include 60 months insurance. But don't melt your package it don't work with packages cause it's not a stand alone ship and not an lti (life time insurance) of course and some bigger ships price went up cause they got an upgrade so look out for that if your interested in that direction.

Nothing new on sc, except the last patch broke the game I haven't been able to log on these past days at all.

 

Anyway here is my current fleet not including my cyclone buggy

You know im exited and afraid for sq 42 live stream to see how far it is,if I had to make a wild guess I think sc will be beta on 2019 just going on the progress they have but then again they do take a long time or it seams but I can't compare it to any other game since no other game reveals live production. i dont care if they reveal live production of a product that keeps getting delayed year after year.

 

this is the type of game that i wouldn't mind dropping a huge amount for, if it ends up being all they are aiming for.

 

right now i cant help feeling that its either going to be the best game ever or the biggest scam ever and im not willing to bet my own money.

 

hope its the first one.

 

edit: i doubt we will get an official release date while backers money still coming in

Totally understand, I am seeing progress and the things they say they are going to do they are doing and showing it (as far as I have followed them :p). I think 3.0 is proof in the direction they are going. they have just achieved getting the tool's done needed to make planets and assets and now Im see them testing them on the ptu.i herd one of the developers say "now they could start working on gameplay elements" yay.

 

 

 

 

I haven't been able to play any missions as of yet so I don't know how fun or repetitive they are but for sure this is just a place holder per say.what I want to see more is fps npc gun fights.ive been desperately trying to explore specifically with my nox bike but I just can't right now.it does look amazing I mean not the lagg but it has an amazing feel to it when you're in the verse, I love the dark parts of the universe.just to give you an idea the sun is the light source of the Galaxy your in for everything moons,planets and stations it all comes from the sun and I (think) it's unheard of in a game usually games will fake light (turn it on everywhere) but star citizen the sun is the light source.someone asked a developer will eclipses will be a thing,the developer answered they did not code it in any way but the planet rotates,the mood orbits the planet and the planet orbits the sun so it is expected to happen naturally Wich I think it's really really cool.

 

Right now btw the funds went up to 172.4 mill since a couple weeks ago :lol:

Ok they acknowledge the error and pushed an update, most problems are fixed somewhat (that I encountered) still laggy though not as much. it's more stable I spend the longest session yesterday but I was afraid of crashes so I rushed to a moon just so I could explore it (I found nothing)

 

So what I love is clothing/armor customization,you could swap out the chest, legs, helmet and arms to any outfit bought.i spend some time just looking through them.they start you off with 100k just for testing the shops.
