ZHPbim
Go research the land in V that R* has based this game off of. I've already loved the game from the start but go google/YouTube the salton sea. What they gave us is an incredible detailed interpretation of the real thing. It's incredible how real the condensed version of sandy shores is to the real thing. The homes you see are all just like real life, weather it's a crappy home, burnt down one, or a crappy trailer, it all looks like the real thing. Notice how diving into the Alamo sea is dark and nasty and there are no fishes? That's because it's nasty and salty in real life, where little fish can survive there I also watched a documentary on slab city from VICE on YouTube. The people in that area are bonkers. As are the random peds you meet I the game around that area. This game is far more detailed than many realize. If it weren't for an outdated console, this game would be leaps and bounds ahead of the rest, even though it already is. .Emmi
The world of San Andreas is amazing. It has a few design flaws though. Just imagine what R* will craft with next-gen. Bigger, better and even more detailed worlds with lots of content. I can't wait to see their first next-gen game! Gnocchi Flip Flops
A-Wax8
I agree, but the only peds I see in stab city are 3 lost MC that run away. Not much life in it.
BrokenLizard
Having recently re-bought III & San Andreas, it really makes you realize how far R* has came in their games. Yes, they could have done a bit more IMO, but it really puts in perspective how much work they put into V. Hearing Lazlow talk to people on Chatterbox put a smile on face. It was so basic and you could tell how much in the beginning stages it was in, but who really thought it would blow up like it did? I have my disputes and inquisitions with R*, as with everyone else, but in no way should any of us doubt them because they always deliver some of the best games ever made. CSUdude
We live in a society in which people feel entitled and always more deserving of everything. Of course they don`t care about the attention to small details! The pinned "cool things..." thread shows you how much detail went into the game. It wasnt as if R* just recycled old stuff from previous GTAs and threw them into the game. The development process between IV & V is clearly evident in the small details. They did a fine job with that. Edited March 22, 2014 by CSUdude
Geralt of Rivia
Oh yeah lol. Look at the jump from SA to IV. It's ridiculous. Which is why I'm excited for Next-Gen/PC GTA. It won't be as big a jump as SA-IV was, but it should be pretty major.

Take Two and Rockstar don't have infinite money and their workers need rest and time with their families and food, housing, and transportation. Racecarlock
I just watched that video and off the boat's LA 3 part episode. Frankly, those documentaries make GTA V look like it got all of it's knowledge about LA from TMZ and fox news. And the trailer park from larry the cable guy stand up routines. CantThinkOfOne2013
I'm exactly the same as the OP on this subject, I loved it right from the start but researched it out of curiosity even more. For example, according ton the GTA wiki, the Adder's spawn location is based off of a loction where you can find a real Veyron, I looked for it on Google Maps and could not find it (because the street view was taken before the car was parked there) but I was still amazed seeing exactly how many buildings were copied in GTA V. Rockstar isn't poor either, and their workers are devoted. What point are you trying to make? Devoted workers or not, rockstar does not have INFINITE money. GTA V cost 265 million dollars to make. They definitely made that money back no doubt, but not only are there other games to work on, there's also so much crunch time someone can take. That's the thing. GTA V needed near constant crunch time to make the game. So did max payne 3 and LA Noire. And let's be honest. To make a game that fits the expectations of people here, that's going to take more than 5 years. We're talking 6 or 7 or possibly even 8. If you are prepared to wait that long, well, good luck. There's also delays to consider. Someone might leave the team and completely cripple the next GTA. Maybe the investors lose interest or something. All I'm really saying is that there is WAY more to consider here than just some next gen console stats. ten-a-penny
ten-a-penny
finally. someone who actually knows where GTA V is based on. GTA SA is based on California and Nevada. that's why we got many cities. GTA V is based on SOUTHERN California. which doesn't have SF and LV. also, just because the FICTIONAL STATE of San Andres is in GTA SA and V, it doesn't make GTA V automatically GTA SA 2.0. BLOOD
Lol seeing a prompt to sing while taking you bath was the "MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER" Lolol although Rockstar said they want to make GTAO be SO realistic in terms of interactivity and i am sure with next-gen 8gb memory next-gen GTAs (GTAO) will be INCREDIBLE.i cant wait to be watching cloud-supported TVs in Next Gen GTA lol (although IV-and V did great job in the amount of Shows we can watch on the TV) . and then there is the Realistic Next-Gen Hookers and Strippers Lol (i can see too much media and political controversies).
