what was your dumbest survival mode death?

today i had my dumbest survival death ever!

i was doing a survival session at the railyard with three other players and we where in wave 4.

i just got a rpg and we had to deal with a chopper, i was hidding behind a stack of crates and i held down the left trigger to aim and i somehow hit the trigger to fire, the rocket somehow hit one of the crates and took me out.

please tell everyone your dumbest survival mode death.

please no complaints about this thread.

mods i know this type of storytelling is suppost to belong in the gtao story thread so please link this thread to it (sorry i keep forgetting).

Trying to snipe a chopper while some guy kept making the 'air thrust' animation at me. As in, positioning his avatar very close to mine so it looked more suggestive.

 

All while I'm trying to shoot the damn pilot of this chopper.

 

I didn't last long. I can only imagine how awkward it must have looked if anyone else saw it.

the one place in survival mode i wish rockstar would allow us to go back using is the rooftop, at the boneyardm i miss using it.

Survivals are a waste of time - its not worth doing all the waves for a pathetic 20k. I'd rather do RR that takes 2mins.

 

I did do it once by myself when I first got V and I managed to get to Wave 9 on Boneyard. However, ya'know how you always get the suvs and mini vans all together? Yeah, I tried throwing a grenade from behind that cabin thingy (where everyone camps unless your stoopid) and it somehow dropped beside me!

 

Its ironic that one of the enemys (dunno what they're called) said; ''your a dead man!'' just after I died lol.

I've held a grenade in my hand for long enough that it exploded. The three other people playing had already died so were watching me. It's nice having an audience for your stupidity.

 

I've also shot a helicopter out of the sky only to have its wreckage land on me. I would have sounded like a crow over the head set "haaaa haaaa haaaa haaaaa, ohhhhhhhh".

Boneyard, I ran out of one of the hangar-kinda-buildings and kicked an NPC corpse. His shotgun went off.sending me about 20 feet straight up in spread eagle position. No one plays with me to see the crazy stuff that happens.

It's annoying as hell and just plain stupid. I go by the rule of if someone has that spot, it's theirs for the survival.

called it in feeling like a bad-ass put the flare right in the middle then i heard the jet coming as it dropped its bombs on me killing me and all other players on the map

Hm, besides random moments of falling off buildings or failing to throw grenades or stickybombs properly? I remember joining a survival game in one of its final rounds, as lvl 120+. I call out to my friends "DON'T WORRY, BACK UP'S HERE." as I run in with my minigun. Only to run around the corner and face five guys with miniguns already spinning up. f*ck.

Didn't know the AI got those.

There's a couple of handy little red dumpsters on Processed (and I think on Recycled) but they're only big enough for one person. I've been killed there many times now when lower level players realise how good a hidey-hole it is and insist on trying to share it with me.

I didn't know how to use the grenade launcher at the Del Perro Beach Survival, so I just hit R2 and launched the grenade into the wall I was using for cover - without aiming. So, I exploded myself.

i used airstrike once in freeroam (i think to take out some players) except the jet dropped bombs on me, i haven't used it since.

I was the only survivor, killed the last guy. Threw a sticky bomb on the ground in celebration and accidentally exploded myself

playing on boneyard survival, was one of the last waves that the enemies drive into the lot, i threw a flare for a airstrike, about to blow the hell out of the massive pile of enemy cars that had grouped up, flare hits the car thats pulling in, smashes the windshield and drops inside im guessing, then the car drives up to the front of the pile up and i see the red smoke from outside, the car keeps driving towards me along the dirt path and i hear the jet fly over... lets say that he went kamikaze on me and drove the flare into me before it killed him too ; - ;

During Railyard Survival I was the only one left during round seven and there was one guy left hiding behind a police car. Naturally I took my grenade launcher to kill him but when I shot it hit the train car and blew me up

.....I went offline for 3 months after that
