GunWrath
Anyone play that? Noticed it was free to play (to a certain extent as transactions can help you out and speed up upgrades and with currency) but I downloaded it the other day and I'm addicted.. really fun. I just unlocked the M3 Lee tank, it's a Tier 4 Medium Tank.. it's powerful but the turret on it sucks, only has 10 degrees basically of left and right.. oh well, next tank up is a HEAVY Tank baby! But major XP and Coin to buy that mofo, building all my resources up now.
Geralt of Rivia
I play it on PC. It's just awkward with a controller.
GunWrath
I find it easy to manage with a controller.. either way, it's fun. Playing now.. we reached the kill limit 10mil for a new map today.. each 10mil brings a new map I believe.
Geralt of Rivia
It's fun, but the grind is just terrible. I have a Tier 8 American Heavy. That things costs 1K a shot. And repairs? Pffft. Unless you have a really good game, you're gonna make as much or less than what you need to spend on the thing. That said, the tier V American TD is amazing. The Wolverine, I think. Best tank ever. GunWrath
I hear ya.. it's all about them trying to make you grind to purchase the transactions.. how games are nowadays. The grind is fine for me right now as it's a new game for me and I'm bored with others. I'll get tired of it eventually I'm sure but it's still fun especially with 3 more maps ahead of us. GunWrath
Nah, goes to next Tier for Medium or 1st Tier for Heavy.. I'm currently working towards the Heavy.. about halfway there in XP but I have to have 435k to purchase it after researching it. I'm at about 212k
Th3MaN1
Just asking, is it Pay 2 Win?

I'm currently working towards the Heavy.. about halfway there in XP but I have to have 435k to purchase it after researching it. I'm at about 212k Ah. Well, I'm just letting you know, you should really go American TD, the Wolverine especially. Watch these: And see if you like it. The tank is a beast. It's cheap, and it makes a lot of money. And it's only Tier V! Just asking, is it Pay 2 Win? No, but it sure does feel like it in later tiers. For example: You can get to Tier 10 without buying a single thing. However, that process is made much easier by buying a Gold (I think that's what it's called) account which nets you more EXP and credits. The grind is still there, no matter what account you have, but Gold is definitely easier. Either way, you're gonna grind. A lot. So, my final answer is no. iiConTr0v3rSYx
So money just makes the grinding process shorter? That's usually the case with Free to play games.
Geralt of Rivia
So money just makes the grinding process shorter? Yes, but not that much shorter. You'll get I think around ~1k more credits max per game and a couple hundred EXP. It's not much lol. However, with the account, I don't think you can lose money, like you can without that account. Still, if you lose money, it means you had a bad game, and even having the Gold account isn't gonna help you much there. You can also buy gold (Not the account), which you can use to buy special tanks that are gold only. However, these tanks are usually weaker than what you get by grinding, so it evens out. For example: You can buy a Tier 8 Heavy, a T34, for a lot of gold. You can go straight from Tier 1 to Tier 8 by buying that tank. However, the tank has big disadvantages, and it's arguably worse than the other tanks in its Tier. That's how they balance that out. Geralt of Rivia
Oh yeah. It's greatly balanced. Never once did I think: "Wow, this game is a lot like a P2P game". The game also relies heavily on skill and luck. It's fun, I get into it every once in a while, but the grind in later tiers just turns me off of it after a while. Th3MaN1
That's why so many people are playing it. TBH, I thought that firing up BF 1942 and getting into a tank is pretty much this game, and while my PC sucks so much ass it can't even play this game, I'll look into it through Youtube. GunWrath
focker, how's the PC version of this? How many tanks on each team? 360 version is 15v15, which is pretty fun.. maps are just the right size as well.
Geralt of Rivia
focker, how's the PC version of this? How many tanks on each team? 360 version is 15v15, which is pretty fun.. maps are just the right size as well. It's 15 vs. 15 on PC, too. The PC version looks better (I'm pretty sure, although WoT doesn't use a lot of resources, which is really stupid if you're able to afford the resources). There's the mods, of course, and I'm sure there's more maps (Although I haven't played in a while). PC version is probably harder because of M&K (Which is less clunky than a controller for this game, although a controller does work fine), and the fact it's been out a lot longer on PC. Also, if the menu on the Xbox version is what it was like in the beta, than the PC version's garage is cleaner and easier to navigate. TL;DR: Xbox version is just fine, but it's most likely better on PC, just like every game ever, basically. No surprise there. If you have a PC able to run it, I recommend trying it out. GunWrath
I'm on a laptop, not sure if it will handle well but I can try it. Finally got my first Heavy tank.. armor is good but attack is still sh*te. I use a TD whenever I die early with my heavy and swap to TD.. the TD's are f*cking brutal. hornedturtle
I got bored of it during the beta. tried it again, and tanks still turn the wrong way randomly
Davo the Assassin
I love the game for the good rounds, but there are so many games that are just meh. And grinding through crap tanks to get to better ones just kills any buzz.

GunWrath
I thought of purchasing some of the deals but even then, it's not really a huge boost. You get double XP and double coin.. even then, you still have to grind like a sumbitch. I rather just save the dough and grind legitimately until I'm bored of it. Been playing with nothing but TD's lately.. way better.
IDredMan
Be warned: The game takes 8-23 hours to update.
Schemer
I've played literally three rounds of it and never touched the game since. It’s a great game, don't get me wrong, but I just could never find the time to play. I have been busy playing with the new Xbone and the collection of games I have for it. Then on 360, R* is having a 75% sale so I don't believe I'll see much of this game anytime soon. If anyone here wants someone chill to play with, hit me up. I'll be more than willing to play a few rounds if someone wants to tag along. But other than that, this game will be collecting dust for me.
