Seen lots of people/threads recently complaining about being constantly killed in free mode, being spawn killed etc, grenade launchers being a noobtube for those with cash..

 

I don't think people in general get how to play GTAO effectively. The game is a tactical shooter not a twitch shooter, it's set in a huge multi layered city with infinite angles and possibilities. If you get dragged into 1v1's all the time on street level (which it sounds like so many people do, and i've experienced so many people doing it) you're gonna get frustrated alot of the time. It generally just devolves into "both players take cover around a corner" and then it's really about who makes the first mistake/gets bored first.

 

The advice i'd give is just never fight fair. Never fight fair. With autoaim being the way it is, and RPG's/grenade launchers so effective at taking people out behind cover, it's a bad move to ever engage somebody on their terms, or "fairly" if you want to be effective in freemode.

 

I'll give you an example, a dude yesterday needlessly RPG's me as i'm going past near LSC. 90% of players from my experience will respawn and run immediately back to try and get a revenge kill on the player. Such a bad move. It's very easy to pin somebody down with the sniper rifle and autoaim means that you're at a disadvantage being the attacking player.

 

So I went and picked up my chopper, the guy forgets about me. 5 minutes later he's sniping ontop of LSC, and my bullet pierces straight through his forehead from a high rise building about 300m away, he hasn't a chance. He spawns and tries to get back on the building, big mistake and it's 2-1 to me.

 

Another 10 minutes later and i'm on something of a killstreak sniping everybody trying to get at the bounty in Eclipse towers, a guy is trying to weasel his way up the crane opposite and i'm surrounded on all sides by players on the ground, it's hectic. Lining up a shot, suddenly SMG fire cuts through me and the bottom left shows 2-2 - the guy had remembered me, gone off radar and snuck up on me on the roof.

 

Now that's a sneaky shrewd move, it's happened to me a couple of times and i've done it to other players, but it's exactly how the game is meant to be played - using your assets to your advantage (minus the op Rhino).

 

Message in short: use the city to your advantage, don't engage players on "their terms". If the game was free-aim it would be more viable to outgun players one on one, but if you want to be highly successful, play the game on your terms. Don't get drawn into one-on-ones you don't have the advantage in, get an advantage and then fight dirty. It's the GTA way.

im at the point that when someone decides to randomly open fire on me for no reason, i wont give a f*ck and just annihilate their corpse with a minigun until they quit

I did read. Anything goes when its anarchy. There is no fair play. It doesn't exist. You must do whatever it takes to defeat ur opponent. Stealth is deadly. I wish your blip would disappear from the radar when you were on foot at least. Like on deathmatch. Would show to nearby players when making noise. Distance heard should depend on dB of the noise. Add a little more realism.

If you played in free-aim, people cannot just auto-lock target you.

Literally the only good thing about free aim and you nailed it first try! Good one bro.

 

Wrong.

It's much more rewarding to kill because YOUR aiming skills are up to par then it is to kill because AIM-BOT has aiming skills.....but let's not get into all of that here.

We all have fun playing, regardless of who is doing the aiming. If you're not having fun, you're probably not playing anymore.

i 99% of the time fight fair, except this one time i was pissed off that everytime i went into join deathmatch i was getting either prisonthugz fight or some other sh*tty user created deathmatch with no weapons so i joined and ran everyone over with a car. i felt bad about it but got extra rp for killing using a vehicle so yeah, sometimes you're supposed to play unfair. lots of words here no one will read.

I don't see how outsmarting your adversaries is unfair. Doing anything within the intended confines of the game to get the upper hand is fair play if you ask me. What's unfair is when people either hack or use glitches to one up you.

Also there is nothing fair in this game when you can pull out an auto shotty then next second you have an RPG... this game is anything but fair or realistic. It's a cartoon episode of the looney toons.

One thing that pisses me off is CAMPING BITCHES. One guy will snipe, right, but then his f*ckbuddy will camp near him with a f*cking SMG so when I land a chopper or climb up he blasts me. So I'm hiking up a crane to snipe him. At the top. Off radar. Got one minute. Take out sniper from my pants, aim, they've moved behind this f*cking wall. Alright, I'll parachute over. Open chute. They start shooting my chute. Slam headfirst into a building, I'm now in a meeting.

EFF THIS. I usually give up and go drown myself somewhere far away.
