Rockstar Developers Pack (DLC Idea)

Hey so first up is this is my first ever forum topic, and it is going to be pretty long so I put it in spoilers.

 

Here is my idea for future paid DLC which is the take every game since GTA IV and bring it to GTA:O such as weapons, clothing and vehicles so here it goes.

 

The GTA IV Pack:

 

 

Weapons:

Pistol Slot: CZ 75 Full Auto (Automatic 9mm from TLAD)

 

To match the over powered AP Pistol and give a more choice in full auto weapons, the could reduce the fire rate but increase accuracy over the AP and have a smaller magazine. Attachments can be extended mags, foregrip and tints.

 

SMG/MG Slot: SW MP-10 (SMG)

 

The fave little SMG that we can use in drive-by, since we can only use the current Micro SMG, it will give players more oppertunities to use the SMG class in this situation since it can be fired one handed, the cna increase the damage slightly but have a slower fire rate and worse accuracy (due to stockless) then the Micro SMG. Attachments can be flashlight, scope, suppressor, extended mags and tints.

 

Rifle Slot: Colt M4A1 (Carbine Rifle)

 

Now this was a hard one to do due to the fact there is already a AR-15 platform and a AK based rifle in game, now the reason for the carbine is that we could have a cleaner version of the current carbine, but only have it without attachments and only tints.

 

Unarmed Slot: Cinder block/Brick

 

Well why not smash in another players face with it?

 

Sniper Slot: Remington 700 (Sniper Rifle)

 

It is simplistic, common and used a lot for hunting, so why we using a L96? This can be a sniper for the much lower levels with its unclear scope, small magazine but it can get the attachments for a better scope (to match L96 standard), extended mags, supressor and maybe a quick pull bolt, obvs with tints.

 

Shotgun Slot: AA-12 (Automatic Shotgun from TBoGT)

 

Okay, another one to match the over powered Auto shotgun, have it the same attachments as the one currently in game but have a much reduced fire rate and slightly better accuracy... and no Frag-12 rounds!

 

Heavy Slot: HK69A1 (Grenade launcher from TLAD/TBoGT)

Okay I bet your sick of using a grenade launcher, then dying and loosing a full clip of ammo? Well here is the simple idea of using a single shot grenade launcher. Slower rate of fire but it saves money in the long run.

 

Thrown Slot: Pipe Bombs (from TLAD)

 

Just something different from the usual sticky bombs, if I rember correctly these take skill to use, not just throw stick and boom.

 

Clothing:

 

All clothing can be purchased from the Russian discount store and MODO, no more suits as we have plenty of them which look similar. Hair from the online section.

The L.A. Noire Pack:

 

 

Weapons:

 

Pistol Slot: Colt Detective Special

 

A snub nosed revolver that needs to be added into the game, why is there no revolvers in this? Well with this we can have some good old fashioned fun with this little hidden gem, one of the bonuses will be nobody knows you have it out until it is to late

 

SMG/MG Slot: B.A.R M1918A1

 

Have it slow auto and high damage and this is going to be a big hit to all those wanting old WW2 guns involved, in fact it would be my fave MG straight away, The high power would be needed to compete against the other MG, but the slow auto for the fact these have very small clips.

 

Rifle Slot: M1 Garand

 

Another WW2 classic, to compete against the other rifles this must be semi auto, very high damage and good accuracy, this coupled with the 8 round mag that goes ting and we will have a well balenced rifle in this class.

 

Unarmed Slot: Kitchen Knife

 

Found in the trash on one of the cases, this could be used like a knife but with different mechanics and less damage then the current knife.

 

Shotgun Slot: Ithaca 37

 

One of the oldest shotguns here, could have it match the current pump action but maybe a slower rate of fire and less accuracy, once again this could be used for the lower level characters and aim the price cheaper too.

 

Heavy Slot: M2-2 Flamethrower

 

Gives us a new toy to run amok about, to balence it have the ammo to be eaten up quickly like a real flamethrower and we will be causing chaos with fire due to there isn't much fire based weapons.

Clothing:

 

All 1940's fashion for males and females, from high end dresses to possibly WW2 uniform, groomed hair, moustaches and female celeb styles.

 

Vehicles: Now I know these are real cars, but if we could have Rockstar to do there usual mix and match.

 

Ford H-Boy

The Red Dead Pack:

 

 

Weapons:

 

Pistol Slot: Colt SAA (Cattleman Revolver)

 

This pistol is just the perfect revolver for this pack, just if they have a quicker reload time and high damage this can compete against the other pistol in this slot.

 

SMG/MG Slot: Browning M1917

 

A big heavy browning MG would fit quite well in this class, have the performance to match the other MG but make it slower firing then the Combat

 

 

Rifle Slot: 1860 Henry Rifle (Henry Repeater)

 

A very iconic rifle that President Lincoln had one, once again if we could speed up the reloadingand give it a high damage it should fit into this slot.

 

Sniper Slot: Remington Rolling Block Sporting Rifle (Rolling Block)

 

This single shot rifle packs a huge punch, give it very high damage like the heavy and good accuracy and this should become a snipers new fave.

 

Shotgun Slot: Sawn off Shotgun

 

Simply put as a double barreled sawn off that can be used one handed, should be used, damage, accuracy and range as the TLAD version

 

Heavy Slot: Mauser T-1918 Gewehr Anti-Tank Rifle (Explosive Rifle)

 

The same way it was put into red dead online, a powerful one shot explosive rifle that has a very limited ammo supply like the RPG/Grenade launcher

 

Thrown Slot: Thrown Knives/TNT

 

These were to much fun to take out, either make the other player a voodoo doll or use tnt and try not to explode yourself.

 

Clothing:

 

All period Cowboy, Indian and even Mexican clothing, hunting gear, messy hair and full beards and since there is lack vehicles we could get native indian tribal as tattoos

 

Vehicles:

The car that get used in the mission with the government and the armoured truck

 

 

The Max Payne 3 pack:

 

 

Weapons: ADD IN ALL THE ATTACHMENTS FROM THIS GAME i.e. Laser sight, red dot.

 

Pistol Slot: Glock 17c

 

In game it was shown as a Glock 18, but its a Glock 17 converted to fully auto, I would like this Glock to stay semi so it fits in with the combat pistol and not over power it

 

SMG/MG Slot: Tarus M972

 

This SMG can be the middle ground between the SW MP-10 and the current SMG, since it can be used one handed it can be a drive by weapon, but on foot it can be used two handed.

 

Rifle Slot: FN FAL 50.00

 

This rifle but in either burst or semi auto only, to keep its accuracy average rather then all other the place, and give it high damge to compensate for the non full auto lock

 

Sniper Slot: H&K G3SG/1

 

Set this rifle up as a low powered sniper rifle with a fast semi auto firing rate and a large magazine should make this rifle better for close range sniping.

 

Shotgun Slot: Benelli M4 Super 90

 

Have this as a semi-auto shot gun to fit in between the fully auto and the pump action, giving it higher damage then the fully auto, more accurate aswell, but less then those of the pump action.

 

Heavy Slot: M72A2 LAW

 

This should be used as a single shot only, but give it max damage it can either destroy, or nearly destroy a tank, since it will have only one rocket it should balence out from people who will abuse it power and stick with RPG if they want more

 

Thrown Slot: Tin Can/smoke grenade

 

It was funny and quite pointless but in all seriousness the smoke grenades can be quite usefull to get into better positions

 

Clothing: All the clothing styles from online, including hair and tattoo options, giving us gangster look, jersey shore fag look, miltia look or transsexual

 

Vehicles: Not a lot of vehicle choices so I will say the helicopter from the nightclub level, UFE riot vans, Pasos car and the Pick up truck from the end of the yacht level.

 

 

Well I could go on for ever saying packs from manhunt and GTA 3 era but thats all for now, any ideas to add in would be interesting to see what people like ;D

The GTA:SA pack:

 

 

Weapons:

 

Pistol Slot; Colt 1911 (Pistol)

 

Again it already in online as a heavy pistol but with a standard one we can have a cleaner look without the red dot on top of the slide.

 

SMG/MG Slot: Intratec TEC-9 (TEC-9)

This could be used as a middle ground betwen the current Micro SMG and the SW MP-10, used for drive by, has a small mag like the Micro SMG that can be upgraded to hole 30 rounds.

 

Rifle Slot:AK-47

 

Once again it already online as the Type 56 (Assualy Rifle) but we could do with a clean AK with wooden furniture

 

Unarmed Slot: Katana

 

A very long, sharp and extremely dangerous. This can lead to some very funny beheadings in the world of SA

 

Sniper Slot: Marlin Model 336 (Rifle)

 

Probaly the most unused sniper rifle in game due to the fact it was scopeless but it still packed a punch

 

Shotgun Slot: SPAS-12

 

Another shot gun to fill in the semi-auto area, need more semi to fill the gap between full auto and pump action

 

Heavy Slot: Heat Seeking Rocket Launcher

 

I would suggest that this only locks onto air vehicles and maybe tanks, otherwise this could get over powered way to quick, small ammo supply to stop people spamming it

 

Clothing; 1992 style fashion ranging from gangster hand me downs right up to tuxedos, following a range of 92 hairstyle and very gangster type tattoos

Weapons: Sadly not a lot of choice here

 

Rifle Slot: AR-10 (Carbine Rifle)

 

The only GTA which featured a Full Blown AR-10 rifle and not the AR-15, so this means it is a big nasty peice of American steel that shoots 7.62mm, will make a perfect addition if you want to hit slightly longer, accurate and cause more damage then the carbine.

 

Clothing: All charcter clothing, Gang clothing for GTA III Nostalgia.

 

Vehicles: Since there isn't much weapons to add in due to being listed before or is currently added onto online we get more vehicles.

Weapons:

 

Pistol Slot: Colt Python (.357)

 

The first revolver added into GTA, this Python will be able to compete the higher end of the pistol class and will be one of the most powerful revelvers in the game, attachments can be a added scope like VCS version and of course tints.

 

SMG/MG Slot: IMI Uzi (Uzi)

 

This weapon will be more like the GTA IV version which is fired with two hands and cannot be used to drive by, it wont come in gold I'm afraid, got to be lvl 75 for that. This will be on the lower end of the two handed SMG as it lacks accuracy but will have a high fire rate

 

Rifle Slot: Ruger Mini-14 (Mini 14)

 

Reason why this was left out in the MP3 pack is due to this is the only rifle in VC that hasn't been featured in the recent one, once again another semi-auto but with moderate damage will make this rifle a good lower level rifle

 

Unarmed Slot: Screwdriver

 

A ruthless tool that can kill, it won't do as much damage as a knife but it can be swung faster for faster attacks

 

Clothing:

 

Welcome to the 1980's, Hawaiian shirts are cool and everybody wants to dress like Tony Montana, optional leg warmers and neon clothing is highly advised against, unless you're in the 80's

 

Vehicles:

Haha i'll put down my idea for GTA:SA soon, just not enough time to do it just yet since the last couple of packs were rushed

Thanks man, I been talking about it with my friends for a good while, and it would make sense to do it if GTA:O is going to be the future of GTA, it would take fan favourites from every game they made and update them into it, so one of each weapon, clothing from that game and then 5 vehicles, if this did happen I would love to see the L.A. Noire one.

Ah yeah good ol' PMP600, I had completely forgot about it (don't know how after too many years on deal breaker) I think I'll remove the zombie as a PMP is more popular then that, that was me trying to sneak in more bikes ;L and thanks guys, I'll get working on the older R* game packs ideas

Super GT is the oscelot F620. I'd rather see the faction aka grand national. I found a faction carcass hidden behind a building at the big airfield in blaine county the other day.

Yeah I can see why, cause the F620 is based of the Jag, and often the Jags use to look like the Astons, If I didn't limit myself to 5 vehicles I would of put in the Faction and the Rusty Sabre/Vigero, Bobcat... the list goes on but I though putting a high end car in the list that not in the game, the only other would of been the turismo but it looks nothing like a new one so it pointless putting it in.

I was thinking that to start of with but weapons wise it quite limited, as half is already in game, but I also didn't want to match weapons to other games i.e. the Glock 22 form GTA IV with the Glock 17 from MP3, I know I missed some out like the street sweeper and the P90 but i think 2 full auto shottys is enough and the P90 has some of it design in the Assault SMG... but vehicle wise it would work out better.

 

Don't forget about Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis Pack.

 

Seriously though, great ideas. In case of the LA Noire Pack, R* could just turn all those vehicles to GTA counterparts as usual.

Maybe we should add in table tennis as a activity, see how long before it becomes empty like tennis lol but it would be fun if they started adding in elements from other games, i.e. the racing scene in midnight club with the reality game show of manhunt :D

 

Super GT was a seperate car to the F620

Yup I actually preferred the driving on the Super GT then the F620, it just a shame they made funny little cars called the Rapid GT to replace it

 

And that is GTA III now added in.

Thanks guys, I'm trying my best to keep it easy on the eye and to follow, starting to get harder now with out repeating the same stuff like what rockstar have done, seriously doing these ideas made me realize how lazy they are. The SA one could have loads of vehicles added in but I am trying to limit it to 5 per pack and those are the 5 vehicles I have loads of fun in.

 

And now GTA: Vice City is now up

Beat you to it and no Cuban Hermes, that can be a modification, like in SA. Though just realised how many melee weapons are in it, was too much choice :L next up GTA VCS

That's not DLC. That's an entire game worth of content.

People sometimes don't understand paid DLC. Works great in FPS games and racing games, because the content, being installed via TU and accessed through DLC, can be seen by everybody. However, the way GTAO works makes this very difficult, because R* went with the Compatibility Pack route over the DLC route. This means that if they released paid DLC, they would need to create servers that support different combinations of DLC downloads (ex I bought DLC1 but not DLC2, and player 2 bought DLC2 but not DLC1, and player 3 bought both DLC packs). Due to this, and the fact that everything is implemented through TU, this would make it so that either the game can't be played without buying the DLC, or friends would be split due to not being able to join one another because of a downloadable content issue.

Ah I see, damn then. thanks for the insight I didn't realize, I thought the serves were going to be like Test Drive Unlimited 2 were anyone can join anyone whether they have DLC or no DLC, that is what I based this theory off and yeah it seems a lot but the way they are giving us free packs is 2 weapons, 4 vehicles and clothing, I based roughly paid ones being a load of weapons, 5 vehicles 9except GTA III pack) and a load of clothing.

 

Edit: also if GTA:O is the way of the future then isn't good to get game worth of content lol? all we need is more maps and it GTA;World :p

Haha I was going to add the hovercraft from VCS, jet pack I'm not bothered about, the dune? And I forgot the go kart, so much fun with that :L

Look at NFS Most Wanted 2012. They ALMOST had it right. All players can play with each other. But if the host has the Terminal Expansion Pack (paid DLC), then only players with it can join them. However, if someone without the Expansion hosts, anyone, whether they have the Expansion or not, can join and play. Its strange, but its the closest I can come to giving an example.
