Turn off AutopEquip and Mission Texts?

There are 2 things that particularly annoy me in this game and I was wondering if there was a way to stop them?

The main one is that I mostly play Solo, but every 5 minutes some twat is texting me - usually Ron or Gerald - with multiplayer missions. It;s always the same, 2-4 players, Chumash and Grab(?) and Daemon Run, sometimes Lester with his Sea, Land, Air whatever.

I don't want to play those as I'm playing solo. It can see I'm playing Solo (Invite only actually, but I have no friends lol), is there a way to make it stop? Or am I going to have to play with griefers just to move on? If it was once per session that would be fine, but I reject and delete the text and 10 minutes later it pops up again.


The second thing is after Gang Attacks, if you run over things like the Carbine, it auto equips. I've checked the settings (PS3) and can't find an option to turn off auto equip - any ideas?

It's not the end of the world, but they are annoying.

They are annoying,but not so much annoying.You can always drop weapons you pick up randomly

Always pisses me off when I pick up SMG's when using my AP, the very gun that makes subbies obsolete.

Don't reject and delete the messages. If you do then the timer gets reset and they send you another mission, usually the same one. If you leave it in your email, they don't send another until you leave the session for a new one or finish a mission.

Died on Trash Talk because of this. One rival crew dude was left and I was on my Bati. Went to shoot at him but my character used a Micro SMG with 15 bullets...

Indeed, on the auto equip, I use my heavy pistol A LOT, I find it's very accurate and quick and doesn't waste ammo, you can drop an NPC enemy in 1-2 rounds and it's sharp and snappy on the head shots. Then I run over a carbine and spray the place by accident
