Learn how to host before you host, please.

If you going to host, please learn how to before.

1. Deathmatches with 8 or more players should almost never have a target score. Just put on a timer. Unless you want to have a 5 minute deathmatch and 5 minutes of loading time waiting for another job.

2. If your timer starts to run out, close and open the matchmaking option. That resets the timer to 1 minute and you can keep doing that until you have your desired number of players in the lobby.

3. Always host when you are leaving a free roam with more than 10 players, that way you have more players to invite.

4. If no one new seems to get invited, close and open matchmaking, cancel auto-invite and and start it again, press the skill-matched players invite option and crew invite option a couple of times to be sure that the servers answer.

(5). Most deathmatches are extremely boring if you leave the owned weapons option on. There is no fun playing when two guys have rocket launchers and mini-guns.

These are my tips on how to host.

I'd be happy if motherf*ckers just remembered to turn matchmaking off instead of kicking me.

Sometimes people manage to join in before you can. And sometimes people are still able to join despite matchmaking being off.

Some can be helpful. Thanks OP, didn't know of the match timer reset trick.

You're welcome, that is my main concern when i join jobs. The more the merrier and no deathmatch is fun when there is only 6 players on a 16 player map. Or a hard mission that ends up with two players instead of four.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like uh, your opinion man

I bow to you master GTA player.. Because everyone should do exactly what you do... Seriously, get over yourself.

Just because someone does something a different way than you do, does not mean its done wrong.

I thank you for the bow, i really appriciate that bro.

What is the wrong way is to start a game without the knowledge. If you want to play a 16 player dm map with 4 players then fine, but i guess most people rather have 16 players in it. The same with the weapons. I believe most players want skill to determine the result instead of who got the better and more expensive gun.

The first one is true, although pretty rare. I don't know about the second thing but could it be that they just pressed auto-invite?

Nah, it was a known bug for a while, but I think it has been fixed now (I haven't noticed it happening it anymore tbh).

COMPLETELY agree with #1.

Yeah, with the current crazy loading times you would imagine you want to actually play more than wait to get back to find a new session.

Some maps are definetely made for shorter games but for an example death maze is over in at least 6 minutes with a target score,

It happens with me because I don't turn it off because I always think no one will join, but I don't kick them, I leave the room
