Too much ocean and nothing to do

I've read a couple topics about adding different types of boats for purchase, but what about using them for missions and random jobs? I got to thinking, how about container ships that you can steal shipments with a cargobo for Lester? Drug runners in speed boats that you can hijack for Treavor? Yachts to assault with guarded high-priority targets and/or safes to loot for Martin? They can spawn randomly like the armored trucks, be mission based, or even heists. Would give me a reason to buy a boat, since there's no other purpose other than lame sea races. How cool would it be to assault a Merryweather battleship to steal weapons for Ron and then sink it?

I love boats and the water in this game!

I think they should have high value crate drops way out in the ocean or something.

Yeah man the thread I posted about "assassination missions" included targets on boats, I think it's a great idea.

Like you say nothing happens currently on the water and there's so much potential. DLC vehicles should include a weaponised (mounted machine guns) speedboat, the skimmer or whatever it was called from Vice city (a small plane that can land on water) and a really expensive, huge billionaires yacht type thing with space for a chopper to land.

It should work like the HPV but it's a HVT, a bunch of mercs (with RPG's) defending a yacht in the middle of the ocean that is risky to attack by chopper, forcing the use of boats. Would be so epic.

I like the Water. Nothing Wrong with It. Just they should add the Following Things,

1: Aquatic Life "Sharks, Fish, Whale"

2: New Boats DLC.

3: Submarines {3 to 4} Seater.

4: Warship or Aircraft Carriers.

5: More Missions that involve Oceans/Seas.

I will be one happy player if they do that!

100% agree, such a big area that's not used.

cargo ships might be abit big, id love to see them tho.

but adding drug money running boats surely wouldn't be hard.

grand theft spaghetti

or they could go all scooby doo and gives ghost pirate ship side mission.

like single player when all 3 characters smoked some laced weed? and started trippin out.

when the mission ends your character is in their underway standing next to that painted ship on the beach walking off the drunk/stoned blurry vision.

Cargo ships, oil rigs, aircraft carriers and big yachts, they would be great. Will look forward to see it in a mod someday, as the idea is too awesome to be implemented ever.

Even a deathmatch or survival on an aircraft carrier would be sweet. They really need more missions, getting tired of seeing new jobs that never include new missions, this would be a perfect way to add to that list.

I just want a fast modern pirate ship in black, with a fuxking jolly roger flag waving in the back and an AK-47.

Haha, that would be cool. I sent Rtard an email on their feedback link, I'll post a response if I ever get one.

If you scuba dive it wouldn't be fair for bounty hunters, unless you have to go to a location to buy scubagear and you cannot buy it if you have a bounty

In VCS for PSP smuggler missions were fun where a plane dropped boxes in the ocean and you had to fight off other boats to get the shipments then run from the po.... I enjoy the few boating missions in game... Like the runs up the river connecting the ocean to the sea

Just need some application.

It would be ok because you can knife underwater

Rockstar should of added random events in the seas. Like a boat hijacking or a plane about to crash into the sea. Even if we could of hunted sharks and fish. There isn't much to explore on the seafloor. They should of also added some accessible sunk ships, like a huge titanic and you could explore the entire inside of the ship.

Yea id like more stuff to do out there also. Would be neat to have small islands far off the shore to explore, not like the little piles of rocks that are there now. But adding boats to raid would be sweet

They need to do something with it, I was so excited about the ocean before this game came out, yet I hardly spend anytime at all in it, BECAUSE IT OFFERS NOTHING. I'm almost positive that there aren't even any sharks online, my friend claims to have been killed by one but he was probably high. You can only drive a jet ski or a boat around for so long, it just sucks.

They should add an island or those big yachts with partying NPCs on/in them.

Just hope it doesn't become a wasted potential for R* by the end of the year, let alone before the summer starts.

all i wanna add in sea is :

- harpooning like ACIV . u gain meat which u can sell at minimarkets to gain profits . also whale only in GTAO ( since it's only appeared for hunting )

- treasure ( either on island or underwater ) . gaining some big cash ( around $20k . so u don't need grinding , however most treasures will be guarded by a shark so using submersible can't be killed by shark )

- docktease now sells : dinghy with scuba suit , submersible with scuba suit & dignity yatcht ( seen on daddy's little girl )

- pearl can be founded at underwater , white pearl worth $7k while black pearl worth $15k

- underwater wreck also spawn weapons but like treasure , it will be guarded by pack of sharks

- respawnable nuclear waste : when collected it will respawn again after ingame three days & the spawn location are random place in underwater
