I think I know what the E-Mail Menu (In-Game Phone) is for.

It took me a while but I found the "Leaked" Audo File video again and when I listened to the Quotes from Lester, some of the things he said brought me to the E-Mail Menu that appeared on our phones.

 

Based on those Quotes, I have a good Theory we might be getting a new Lester Option to "Spy on Players"

 

We call Lester, select the option then select the player and in a few moments we'll get a E-Mail from Lester containing all the Info on said Player. As to what Info? I can only guess.

 

-Where they Live (Or Garage is located)

-What Cars they have

-What Weapons they have

 

Probably just Minor stuff but then again, this could also include new stuff that will be added soon. There are a few things that Martin and Gerald say that is really getting to me. I'm have this gut feeling we might be able to sell product on the streets. We buy it....or steel it, the sell it to either NPC's or to Players. Drugs, Guns, who knows.

Actually I think it might be useful depends on what Rockstar has planned. Martin says a few things that lead me to believe there IS going to be a Stock Market (I mean that BAWSQ Thing been in the In-Game Online site since October) and we could buy Business like in Single Player.

 

I'm pretty sure the Businesses we can buy, we won't have Direct interaction with it. It probably won't be like the Taxi Cab Business where Frank drives a Cab around. Would you want to do that in a Free Roam session with a bunch of Kill-Loving Randoms?

 

So that said, chances are when we Select Spy on Player we can also get what Business they Own and what Stock Options they are dealing.

Things they could add with the e-mail which will make it more useful:

• Business updating you with some information.
  
• Contacts e-mailing you instead of calling you for things you've already heard the first time.
  
• Heist planning (e.g. getaway car, airplane, photos, and so on)
  
• Subscriptions to properties per e-mail, and get a nice bonus. (Sort of like Stalking on LifeInvader but only on specific times)
  
• Include photos made with your phone in the e-mail

Now that I think about it, something like paying Lester to send a virus through Email to that player to scramble their minimap or shut down their phone for a short time (no Pegasus, Mors, Merryweather, etc.) would be rad.

 

It'll pretty much leave the player vulnerable.

Very helpful if they are griefing and need punishment, especially if tanks are their forté.

No, it's more about learning information about a player, I think I know what that can be. Martin said. "I recommend you buy and share in a proberty and once the business is up and running- Of course it may require mateniance to keep them profitable."

 

Best guess you can ask lester to spy on them and he will the E-mail what he found and that could include Information on what Businesses they are invested. Like the mission Lester gives to Franklin to make one stock go bad and one to exell....probably will be just a cut-throat online.

Far fetched, that's agreeable. But I don't think it would be overpowered, given it's effect is a reasonable duration and there's a cooldown time before you could use it again - just like all the player affecting resources (Mercs, Bounties, Mugger, etc.) in our phones now.

If 4 or 8 or 13 players in the lobby are working together and using it in tandem, there's no difference if they do the same with bounties mercs or muggers.
