Question for people hosting races.

Recommended Posts

Why do 95%+ of all races have traffic ON? Seems to me that having traffic ON introduces a big slice of luck and takes away from your skill. I can understand why people enjoy the traffic ON option, it does create some enjoyable mayhem, I just don't see why virtually nobody is interested in the traffic OFF option.

easier for crews to block and trade wins, which is about all i see now in public races.

I bet most of them don't realize there are options. I like traffic for quick races or freeways, but long distance or laps races generally suck with traffic. Nobody hosts a real race anymore anyway, it's all "MEGA RP LIKE MY RACE IM A TOOL" races that are waaaay too long for any RP benefit and has a stupid ramp in the middle somewhere. Use all the checkpoints, and keep it at just over 4 minutes, easy enough, but noooo, "SUBSCRIBE ON UTUBE JOIN MY CREW WE TEAR IT UP AND DONT FORGET TO THUMBS UP FOR MEGA RP."

If i see a few racers with fully modded cars I like to put traffic on and rain on because I know with 90% certainty that these people are noobs that traded wins and won't be able to handle more difficult driving conditions.

Traffic isn't good or bad, it's just another way to play a race. Traffic adds another dynamic in that you have to drive around it, replacing the skill of keeping a perfect racing line with doing the best you can around traffic.

This. Also a racer/driver knows there are multiple racing lines to take. Some faster than others.Turning traffic on forces you to assess the situation ahead and find the fastest line available.
