Would you enjoy the addition of some Legal Jobs?

So as I'm sure many of you know, In the campaign, there are a variety of legal jobs which you can complete:

 

-Towing Cars to the Impounds or Repair Shops, both standard randomly generated jobs and scripted ones with more detail.

-Taxi Fares, both randomly generated ones and scripted ones with cutscenes and unique dialogue.

-Various other jobs from property management (e.g fly a plane over specific points to promote a cinema, or drive a delivery truck to a property within a specified time)

 

However despite the many suggestions to the contrary, there are no legit jobs you can perform online.

 

Would you guys enjoy these jobs and extra ones if they were added to online? currently the only way to make money in free roam is robbing stores and chasing bounties, but I'm bored of these and the payout is pathetic compared to just playing missions/races.

 

Personally I'd love to be able to buy and customise Commercial/Public Service vehicles and then use them for jobs in free roam (and current missions)

 

Extra jobs could be things like: Driving a Bus Route (could use the "bus assassination" script), Delivering Goods with Vans/Trucks, Delivering materials from the quarry to the construction site, Flying to various helipads to deliver celebrities and business executives, and there are of course possibilities for many more things too, perhaps including illegal things which would not involve fighting robocop ai (like trevor's smuggling missions)

 

I'm sure rockstar could copy most of the scripting from SP and hopefully add some extra dialogue and cutscenes to make things more interesting. It would also capitalise on what IMO is one the games best assets: The Map. I'm sure most people have not explored all of the map, and being able to cruise around whilst getting paid for it without having to worry about hostile grangers spawning in front of you would be enjoyable for many people, even if they only do it a few times.

 

 

Although not necessary, some new vehicles with this DLC would be a good thing to add some variety with new trucks, cargo planes etc instead of just more sports cars (which there is already an excess of).

I was thinking about this earlier, and it would be really nice. It seems strange that Rockstar didn't include this, as I remember when I first made my online character, you had to select different personality traits, and I clearly remember one being how much time a day your character enjoys doing legal work.

 

But yeah, doing Taxi missions would be cool, and maybe bring back the Pimp missions from San Andreas?

Really though I dont want legal jobs. I want illegal ones. Allow me to sell meth on the street, mug people for their cash (not just kill them), run drugs and weapons across state ect.

Yes, I find myself playing free roam almost exclusively, and there are long periods between random objectives where I would like to be doing something other than missions or driving around aimlessly.

No but it is a large open world game with lots more to do than jack people's cars, I mean you can do yoga, tennis, triathalons etc. would you have thought of those by hearing the name grand theft auto?

I actually restarted a SP game so I could go some tow truck stuff, realistically, lights on when getting the car hooked and working harder than I do in real life. I could see your suggestions online, such as the use helicopter to pick up celebrities while other players are general dicks and trying to shoot you down. It would have to be in freeroam, though, so players could actually f*ck your missions up (if you want to do them in peace you could also do them in private sessions). I could totally see an APB Reloaded feel to this where you could earn extra money or XP by hopping in a police car (no wanted, picked up from police station) and go hunt down bounties. If you kill other players, though, cops will be on to you for killing an innocent (already see a flaw here as cops shoot at you for shooting anyone and also you could kill another player for self defense but cops may still see this as killing an innocent).

I totally would do legal work. Hell, my character in missions is a hired merc so I'm already doing that stuff.

How about an option to be Law Enforcement in GTA: Online. Let me clarify this to those who can not read very well. It is an OPTION, YOU ARE NOT BEING FORCED TO PLAY AS LAW ENFORCEMENT. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT CHANGING THE SINGLE PLAYER. Battling Player Controlled cops would make it interesting for criminals. I want my Sheriff's Cruiser and Sheriff's Uniform!!

Even though I'm independently wealthy, the instant an armored truck appears on my HUD, I drop whatever I'm doing and fight tooth and nail for the $10,000 it's carrying. I've come to hate the glitch where they spawn one after another.

Imagine if other players we going about these "normal" jobs around town. It could be rather difficult for them in the online world of Los Santos...

 

Definitely need this stuff online. Would be a real mess.
