Rainbow Party

sure! these are the ones I've played:

Edit: whoa this is hard D;

Edit: I might have made some mistakes from the copy-pasting too. It's still hard to rate from 1 to 10 xD

GTA

Story - 1/10 (or am I missing something)

Missions - 3/10

Overworld - 8/10 (three unique cities, yay! shame they were hard to unlock and didn't look that good)

Innovation - 9/10 (can't argue that it was very innovative, even if it took some ideas from older games)

GTA 2

Story - 2/10

Missions - 3/10

Overworld - 4/10 (the cyberpunk theme was cool and I liked the gangs a lot but the city was too generic and hard to navigate in)

Innovation - 2/10

GTA 3

Story - 6/10

Missions - 7/10

Overworld - 8/10 (perfectly designed city and it feels bigger than it actually is, each part has its own charm)

Innovation - 9/10

GTA VC

Story - 7/10

Missions - 8/10

Overworld - 10/10

Innovation - 4/10 (not a huge leap from GTA 3, most new features felt obvious but at least they did include them)

GTA SA

Story - 8/10 (quite crazy but at least I felt something for almost all of the characters)

Missions - 9/10 (many original ideas)

Overworld - 9/10 (great balance between size and detail)

Innovation - 4/10 (it has new features but some aren't really needed)

GTA IV

Story - 8/10 (haven't finished it and it probably gets a higher rating if I do)

Missions - 4/10 (again, I haven't finished it yet but I expected more variety and fun)

Overworld - 7/10 (I was expecting it to be actual NYC, I must admit, and it disappointed me because it felt really fake)

Innovation - 7/10 (it had many new features that felt really fresh even if they were small)

GTA LCS

Story - 2/10 (haven't finished it though)

Missions - 3/10 (some good ideas but still not fun for me)

Overworld - 1/10 (recycled city, wtf)

Innovation - 0/10 (basically GTA VC in Liberty City, zero originality)

GTA VCS

Story - 3/10 (I'm half way through but it bored me to death)

Missions - 1/10 (not fun)

Overworld - 2/10 (recycled city, ughhh, 1 point for the extra fancy neons though)

Innovation - 2/10

GTA CW

Story - 4/10 (haven't finished it, the whole "getting the sword back" is a good idea but the characters are mostly awful)

Missions - 3/10

Overworld - 3/10

Innovation - 6/10 (new features feel fresh)

Grand Theft Auto

Story - 4/10 - there is not really a story to begin with, but the characters were quite cool.

Missions - 6/10 - Cool missions, really long with different many objectives, also quite realistic.

Overworld - 6/10 - three big cities with different atmospheres to play in.

Innovation - 10/10 - first of its kind. How can it not be innovative.

Average: 6,5

Grand Theft Auto: London 1969

Story - 5/10 - quite cool about getting higher in the crime ladder in London. Also the characters were quite cool.

Missions - 6/10 - Similar to GTA1, quite cool and quite long. Many references to James Bond.

Overworld - 5/10 - only one city, and in addition, boring and gray London. Driving on the other side was quite cool.

Innovation - 5/10 - similar to GTA 1, but set in only one city. Game added car tunning, though.

Average: 5,25

Grand Theft Auto: London 1961

Story - 1/10 - again, not much there, also characters were rather weak.

Missions - 4/10 - interesting, but hard as hell, also there weren't many of them.

Overworld - 5/10 - same as in London 1969

Innovation - 2/10 - just a mission pack with couple of new cars and missions.

Average: 3

Grand Theft Auto 2

Story - 3/10 - again not really a story to begin with, characters were rather weak.

Missions - 4/10 - some were good, but many were repeating too many times. Also there were just 66 of them.

Overworld - 5/10 - Three districts, with different atmospeheres, but smaller than cities in GTA 1.

Innovation - 5/10 - couple of things were added, but it wasn't that fresh after GTA 1.

Average: 4,25

Grand Theft Auto 3

Story - 6/10 - simple, yet engaging story about revenge with bunch of cool characters.

Missions - 7/10 - quite a lot of quite realistic crime missions. These were rather fresh and nothing was repeating too much.

Overworld - 7/10 - big city with three completely different districts. It was finally opened to us as whole later in the game.

Innovation - 9/10 - first GTA game set in completely 3D world, which put the series into whole new direction.

Average: 7,25

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Story - 9/10 - great, interesting with a lot of references to Scarface and Miami Vice. Masterpiece.

Missions - 9/10 - every one of them was interesting and unique.

Overworld - 7/10 - big city, soaked in neon light with quite unique parts. Road layout could be a bit better.

Innovation - 7/10 - added many things that became basis for future GTAs.

Average: 8

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Story - 4/10 - not really my taste. It started good, only to lose whole steam later, turning into some Bourne's Conspiracy crap. Also characters could be better, especially protagonist, who was hard to relate to.

Missions - 5/10 - some were really good, rest was annoying as hell and poorly written.

Overworld - 8/10 - really big map with three different cities. They could be more lively and better done, though.

Innovation - 8/10 - SA added some features, but many of them were poorly done and not funny to play.

Average: 6,25

Grand Theft Auto: Advance

Story - 5/10 - not bad for a portable game. Characters could be better and main plot could be more engaging.

Missions - 4/10 - nothing worth mentioning. Standard for GTA, rather weak to play.

Overworld - 3/10 - Poorly done overhead version of GTA III LC.

Innovation - 3/10 - nothing really innovative except the fact that someone tried to make first portable GTA.

Average: 3,75

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

Story - 5/10 - not bad, but not very good either. Some characters were done much worse, with different voices and characters.

Missions - 6/10 - rather short and not very engaging. There were some gems, though.

Overworld - 7/10 - similar to GTA 3, with few cool changes (ferry). Great for portable game.

Innovation - 7/10 - first real portable GTA game.

Average: 6,25

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

Story - 8/10 - really great with bunch of cool characters and engaging plot.

Missions - 9/10 - similar to VC very unique set of missions.

Overworld - 7/10 - similar to VC, with fixed road layout and even more neons. East island could be done better though.

Innovation - 8/10 - brought many cool features. Pinnacle of 3D era in terms of gameplay.

Average: 8

Grand Theft Auto IV

Story - 10/10 - fantastic story, with great protagonist and really interesting bunch of other characters. I really love the backstory of Yugoslavian wars.

Missions - 7/10 - great and really engaging. Some of them used really new aproach and freedom in completion. There could be better variation of them.

Overworld - 10/10 - simply speaking breathtaking and wonderfully crafted world. Perfect in every way.

Innovation - 7/10 - some of the features were cut, but the rest was top notch.

Average: 8,5

Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned

Story - 8/10 - another fantasitic, dark gritty story with really cool brotherhood of characters. The best biker game out there. Could be a bit longer though.

Missions - 7/10 - great shooting missions, throwing you right into the action.

Overworld - 10/10 - same city as in IV, so the rate is the same. The new buildings were really cool aditions.

Innovation - 7/10 - new cars and weapons were really fantastic. I also love the gang wars and new races (Road Rage FTW).

Average: 8

Grand Theft Auto: Ballad of Gay Tony

Story - 6/10 - story was a bit light hearthed, which may be actually cool. I didn't like some of the characters (Mori ruining the Brucie completely) and mess caused by changes made only to please fans of over the top gameplay.

Missions - 8/10 - really cool and innovative. Almost every of them was unique and the ending scene despite being taken almost from JB series was still breathtaking.

Overworld - 9/10 - same as in IV, although the changes turning it into modern VC were not needed.

Innovation - 7/10 - again new cars, weapons and features were really cool.

Average: 7,5

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

Story - 7/10 - really cool for a portable game with really interesting characters.

Missions - 8/10 - nice, especially using Nintendo DS touch screen. Most of them were very unique.

Overworld - 6/10 - despite still set in LC map is worse. Streets were messed up turned into geomethric grid and whole part of map (Alderney) is not there.

Innovation - 8/10 - really innovative due to touch screen. Also many features like scratch cards or drug dealing were really good.

Average: 7,25

Grand Theft Auto V

Story - 4/10 - not really a story, but more like bunch of not connected to anything missions. Protagonists are weak and the supporting characters are boring.

Missions - 6/10 - Missions are not bad, but there is not much of them and almost every one is pretty shallow. What's worse, some of them don't have any form of conclusion and the whole freedom from previous GTAs is gone.

Overworld - 9/10 - map is looking great and is really big, but still worse than IV map. LS is weaker and world is just making impression of being alive like in Truman Show.

Innovation - 6/10 - one really innovative thing there is protagonist switch system, but it's not really something groundbreaking. The only result is messed up story and bonding with characters. Rest of the game features and mechanics were mostly dumbed down.

GTA III

Story - 8/10

Though the mafia theme was a little inspired from another source, It had one of the most original story and characters in the entire series, and I really liked that.

Missions - 7/10

Missions had a great amount of variety and atmosphere to them. But at times, they got way too hard to complete. That's a minus.

Overworld - 10/10

GTA III's Liberty City is the best city ever in the series, at least in my opinion. The city had the perfect vibe, and just about everything. Full marks for effort.

Innovation - 10/10

Does it need any description? GTA III was the originator of the popular open world genre that would be so popular and later on become the mere basis of not only the series, but also the entire gaming industry. Revolutionary. 10 marks would be an understatement.

Overall rating - 8.75/10

A truly great game. GTA III.

GTA Vice City

Story - 6.5/10
Don't get me wrong, the story wasn't badly written, nor were the characters, they were great, but the problem was it wasn't original. Mostly a rip-off of Scarface and Miami Vice. Characters had well written scripts and great voice actors, storyline had variety, that saves the category. Take one for the team, Vercetti.

Missions - 8/10

Missions had a great deal of variety in Vice City as that of GTA III. Maybe a bit better. The addition of Assets added a little flavor to the mix, and admittably it was a great feeling to collect money from them. Made you feel like a landlord.

Overworld - 8.5/10

Vice City in the 80's was undoubtedly a great idea, the atmosphere was great, so was the elements and peds and everything else was nicely executed, and also it was nice to see a sunny and bright city after the darkness of III. However, the city felt too small, though it was technically larger it didn't 'feel' as large as Liberty City, the streetmap was no good, that gives it demerits.

Innovation - 3/10

Although other elements of the game was good, The core gameplay elements of Vice City had few new things to show us. Motorbikes, after III was good to see, and apart from the radar and HUD getting a paint job and an ingame map being included, nothing new was there. Everything else was GTA III 101. The new gameplay elements were just like the retina on iPad Mini 2. It should have been on the first one, but they saved it for a 'big update'.

Overall rating - 6.5/10

Although a great game, with great story and character, and a good idea, Vice City gets the middle order, as a few flaws and swing-and-misses with new things didn't work out well. But nonetheless a good game, and great to play through.

GTA San Andreas

Story - 6/10

The story of San Andreas wasn't bad, or at least the conception wasn't. But it was varied, perhaps too varied, and incredibly unneededly stretched. The scripts weren't that bad, but the protagonist was (sorry SA fanboys). And for a homecomer, CJ does way more than anyone bargains for. What with the working for the Mafia, racing for the Triads and all, especially when you're just a gangbanger. With the Feds, the Epidemic, gang wars and adding 3 cities, San Andreas says so much that it ends up saying very little. However, some well-written characters save the storyline, and give us a reason to play through it.

Missions - 8/10

Though with an 'okay' storyline, the missions of San Andreas had a good amount of variety and coolness among them. Though a bit pointless at times, the missions, and their use of gameplay elements to mesh with the storyline give a good gaming experience. I don't know how many gangsters follow some damn train but it sure is fun to do so, and a gaming experience worth telling the kids, or grandkids.

Overworld - 7.5/10

This one was particularly tricky. While San An isn't the best map ever, it certainly isn't the worst. Los Santos, Las Venturas was perfectly executed, capturing the feel and making it 'feel' big. San Fierro was poorly executed, but when you have 3 cities, hills, country, desert and Area 51, what else can you ask for? Apart from graphics upgrades, anyway.

Innovation - 8/10

San An was way ahead of its predecessors when it came to Innovation. Loads of new gameplay elements, and the addition of pointless, but fun side activities gave us more to play for, and more to keep us hooked even a month after we finished it.

Overall rating - 7.25/10

Although a few flaws demerit the overall value of the game, San Andreas has just about enough to urge us to play through, and keep playing - just for the fun of it. Undoubtedly a good game.

Sir, you flatter me much. And I haven't seen the reviews but all I wrote was probably a bit biased considering the fact that III was my favourite GTA, I guess... but thanks anyway!

(I'm gonna do innovation in terms of the previous gta game, which is nice because I haven't played enough of GTA II to understand it, but I've played enough to get a general idea of how it plays. It's also nice because I didn't play very many games when the 3D era games came out.)

GTA III
Story - 6/10 - It was an alright story, nothing boring or over-done, but when compared to subsequent games it's kind of bland in my opinion.
Missions - 5/10 - The missions were pretty cool, but again, bland when compared to later games.
Overworld - 4/10 - Portland was the coolest thing on the map. Stauton Island felt like the most boring parts of Manhattan copied and pasted all over an island. Shoreside Vale was not exciting either, and it was difficult to get around.
Innovation - 9/10 - Being the first 3D entry in the series makes it very innovative. If it wasn't we wouldn't have GTA. There were some things they could have done to make it better though; a transit system was there, and I'm sure they could've tossed some stuff around to make it function, etc.

Vice City
Story - 8/10 - The story worked really well with the setting. Let's power walk our way up the ladder in the 80s! With 80s music! I'm wearing a pastel Aloha shirt!
Missions - 6/10 - More exciting than III's, but just by a bit. I really liked a couple missions, but they're still recognizable as "drive here, shoot these guys, race this guy, steal this car, etc." type missions over and over again with different wallpapers pasted over them.
Overworld - 9/10 - I really liked how much they crammed onto such a small map, and I think it's a huge improvement over III. Places became recognizable, but maybe that's just because they left New York.
Innovation - 6/10 - Bikes, a better map, planes, boats, etc. were all added here, but the gameplay didn't change too much.

San Andreas
Story - 6/10 - The story's pretty awkward and thrown together sloppily. They had to do something with that map, and the transition between city to city was pretty weird. Like a mission impossible type story, if that makes sense. I liked it, but it doesn't make for a great story in my opinion. It's not as memorable as something like IV's story, which made sense and had emotion.
Missions - 10/10 - They were fun, different almost every time, and always a joy to play.
Overworld - 7/10 - The cities were just about flawless, except for a few areas where they felt copy-pasted. The countryside on the other hand... I mean, it was definitely atmospheric and fun to explore, but I think they made a good argument for fast-travel taxis in this game.
Innovation - 8/10 - Redefined the series kinda like GTA III did, especially with the side missions and character customization. Gameplay even managed to feel different, and they didn't change much there!

GTA IV
Story - 9/10 - Like I said, it's emotional, and very memorable. I don't like bleak video game stories very much, but I can appreciate that they achieved something great (for the series) with GTA IV's story.
Missions - 4/10 - It has the same problem Vice City did, except this time almost every mission felt the same.
Overworld - 8/10 - My problem is with the Manhattan clone again. It was a nice representation of Manhattan, but Manhattan is the most boring part of New York when you're not a tourist. Every other borough/state in the game was pretty cool.
Innovation - 8/10 - Redefined the series again. It plays like an entirely different game from the 3D era games, but also manages to feel like a successor.

GTA V
Story - 2/10 - Similar to San Andreas, but worse. The story was cobbled together out of wet, soggy jigsaw pieces that barely had any relation to each other in the first place. Are you a secret agent FIB story? A redneck gettin' his money and explosions story? A story about gettin' out of the hood? Oh wait, three protagonists, that's right, :whuh:
Missions - 9/10 - The missions were great though. Fun as hell to play. I give it a 9 because not every heist was equally exciting, and some missions were a lot better than the heists, which should have been the apex of the game's missions. That underwater FIB lab mission felt like Call of Duty in my opinion, in a good way.
Overworld - 6/10 - The countryside felt the same. Los Santos was kind of interesting, but not really, just kind of boring imo.
Innovation - 5/10 - Didn't change too much, just felt like updated graphics and some mechanics.

(Sorry about the IV/V sections reading lazy, I really had to pee when I wrote this.)

Missions - V > SA > VC > IV > III

I love every single one of them, though. Which is why points-based rating is flawed imo.

Vice City

Story - 7/10 Campy 80's action movie, didn't really want to be much more, nor did it need to be. Fun and memorable characters, but nothing groundbreaking.

Missions - 7/10 Could have focused more on the good stuff like gunplay as opposed to just trying to show off the landscape and technology, a whole load of fun and reminiscent of action movies, though.

Overworld - 8/10 Bright, beautiful, and lots of detail for the time packed into such a small space. Neon pink and heavy metal!

Innovation - 7/10 How much can you expect a year after GTA III? Credit for improved physics, graphics, and motorcycles.

San Andreas

Story - 4/10 "CJ! DO THIS BECAUSE... f*ck YOU!" "Okay."

Missions - 6/10 Outlandish and silly, the game started out strong in Los Santos and Flint, really dragged in San Fierro, but then redeemed itself in Bone and Venturas.

Overworld - 7/10 I've never liked California, but just for sheer scale and the introduction of rural area it holds a special place there.

Innovation - 8/10 San Andreas did a lot of things new and is one of the greater sandbox GTAs, not my cup of tea but I try to give credit where it's due.

Liberty City Stories

Story - 6/10 An actual mafia story, never really took itself really seriously. Toni was an interesting guy and it was cool to get some III behind-the-scenes.

Missions - 5/10 Lots of driving, timed trials, and meters. Focused little on GTA's good stuff... Some parts of the game really were a drag.

Overworld - 6/10 Liberty City's showing its age at this point, but it's still one of my favorite locations.

Innovation - 4/10 Copy and paste. Didn't really leave us with anything memorable.

Vice City Stories

Story - 6/10 Slowed down a lot and a few loose plot points, but seeing great characters like Lance Vance and Phil Cassidy explored was lots of fun. And again, cliche 80's Miami coke wars.

Missions - 5/10 See LCS

Overworld - 6/10 " "

Innovation - 4/10 " "

GTA IV

Story - 10/10 GTA really began to take itself seriously MUUUCH for the better. The characters from this game hold with me the most not just of the GTA franchise, but of most every game I've played. Very well thought out and delivered.

Missions - 9/10 I can see the criticism now of them being repetitious, but it did not feel like that at the time. Time trials were GONE, and it was fun to just blow thugs away with Niko, punctuated with great car chases, climbing ontop of trucks, and other creative segways.

Overworld - 10/10 Liberty was more alive than any game I had ever seen. At the time, the graphics were pretty impressive as well. LC was sprawling and to this day I still find little nooks and crannies of the city I've missed.

Innovation - 10/10 ^Those reasons, I suppose.

The Lost and Damned

Story - 10/10 Gritty, great characters, greater voice actors, brutal, well intertwined with IV and Gay Tony, and really just a honest and bitter-sweet ending. Very memorable.

Missions - 8/10 Just a bit too short, but I can't criticize R* on that for a DLC. Lots of great shooting with the new guns, a few bike chases (I would have liked more), and a little deviation from the gang warfare with Stubbs and Liz Torres.

Overworld - 10/10 See GTA 4^. I do enjoy bumming around playing pool, arcade games, and gambling in the Lost Clubhouse

Innovation - N/A

The Ballad of Gay Tony

Story - 7/10 Didn't take itself very seriously, but that seemed pretty intentional. Luis wasn't very likable, but the eccentric people he interacted with seemed to redeem him somewhat. Well intertwined with IV and TLaD

Missions - 7/10 Goofy fun. We got a new toy almost every mission; though, not all of them enjoyable. I lament having to use the Buzzard with IV's helicopter controls...

Overworld - 10/10 See GTA 4^. I've never liked the "club" scene, but places like Bahamas, Masionette, and Hercules were colorful, fresh, and lively.

Innovation - N/A

GTA V

Story - 4/10 Incoherent, flawed, very few enjoyable or even memorable characters, and a pretty sh*t ending. Worst of all, Rockstar seemed to have taken it pretty seriously.

Missions - 7/10 Gunplay was great and there was always something new to do in different parts of the map. Heists weren't quite as grand or dynamic as R* led them on to be, and outside of the main story there really is no chance to find a good gunfight.

Overworld - 8/10 San Andreas is just f*cking massive. Looking in closely, I was disappointed with the lack of interior and LS compared to LC, but that could just be my California bias. Blaine County was a huge redeemer, too bad such a limited portion of the game takes place there.

Innovation - 7/10 Lots of dumb gimmicks gameplay wise. From a technical standpoint I must give it appreciation, plus R* at least attempted to make Online a big component of the game.

From the ones I've played fully:

GTA Vice city:

Story 7/10: Story didn't really interest me that much but I still knew what was going on. I love the characters though.

Missions 7/10: Some tedious and annoying missions but the asset missions were great.

Overworld 9/10: I love the vibe and atmosphere and it's easy to remember.

Innovation 5/10: Didn't really improve much as compared to III

Overall: 7/10

GTA San Andreas:

Story 4/10: While I do like the characters, I lost interest of the story by the time CJ got to San Fierro

Missions 6/10: Great in LS and Flint county, boring in SF but redeems itself slightly in LV.

Overworld 6/10: There's so many places to go but all those wavy roads and confusing highways ruin it for me.

Innovation 9/10: added in so much and improved over VC though some of the features were shallow.

Overall: 6.25/10

GTA IV:

Story 9/10: A dark and serious story that still manages to have some humor. There's also great characters as well.

Missions 8/10: While there were repetitive missions, the dialogues and some of the interiors you get to explore mixes it up. The fact that different outcomes can occur are also interesting (ex. killing Tom Goldberg with a knife in "Final Interview" doesn't trigger the firefight and doesn't give you a wanted level).

Overworld 10/10: Beautiful, detailed and fun to explore, This makes me want to visit NYC!

Innovation 9/10: Hanging out with friends, a gps route, gunplay that feels like a Third person shooter and realistic driving innovated the series in 2008.

Overall: 9/10

GTA TLAD:

Story 8/10: Decent story with interesting characters

Missions 7/10: some good missions and they were well balanced with the story

Overworld 10/10: same as IV

Innovation 5/10: nothing really new

Overall: 7.5

GTA TBoGT:

Story 6/10: There were some good characters but the story wasn't great

Missions 9/10: While they were over top, they were quite varied and something new was always introduced

Overworld 10/10: same as IV but the nightclubs really hit the spot

Innovation 6/10: Brought some new things for the IV era but not much else

Overall: 7.75

GTA V:

Story 4/10: To be honest I didn't know what was going on halfway through the story

Missions 9/10: quite varied but there were some missions I hated (cough cough Scouting the port cough cough)

Overworld 7/10: While it doesn't interest me as much as LC, it's beautiful and unique

Innovation 7/10: Innovated mechanics for the series and controls were better.

Overall: 6.75

1. GTA IV

2. GTA TBoGT

3. GTA TLaD

4. GTA Vice City

5. GTA V

6. GTA San Andreas

Only the ones that I have played:

GTA III

Story: 8/10: Not the best story in the world but still decent. Decent characters and voice acting especially considering it was released in 2001.

Missions: 9/10: Very fun and varied. The missions are also well written.

Overworld: 8/10: Decent setting. Great Atmosphere. Portland is my personal favorite District.

Innovation 10/10: For obvious reasons.

Average: 8.5/10.

GTA VC

Story 9/10. Best story in the III Era IMO. Typical rags to riches story but I like it. Some memorable characters like Diaz and Lance and of course Tommy Vercetti.

Missions 9/10: Again fun and varied.

Overworld 10/10: Amazing atmosphere and City. Rockstar nailed it with the 80's Miami theme. Beach could have been smaller though.

Innovation 8/10: Didn't add a hell lot like SA but it still added more than some people think. Like being the only GTA along with VCS to have a fully enterable airport interior, nightclubs, bikes etc.

Average: 9/10.

GTA SA:

Story: 6/10: This is where the game falls apart. Consistent for the first 30 missions or so until CJ leaves LS then it just falls like a pack of cards. Too many unwanted parts that shouldn't even have existed in the game.

Missions: 10/10: Brilliant. Quite a few were annoying but for me SA still has the best mission variety in the series. Good amount of replay value.

Overworld: 9/10: Lots of varied terrain. LS and LV were excellent. San Fierro was disappointing for me though.

Innovation 10/10: Technical marvel of the PS2 Era.

Average: 8.7/10.

GTA IV:

Story: 10/10: Best story in a video game ever IMO. Characters are brilliant and memorable. Everything just ties together so well.

Missions 8/10: Not very varied but much more than some people say. Executions and choices during missions are so cool.

Overworld 10/10: Liberty City is the best City in a video game IMO. It's just brilliant. I don't mind that it's dark and gritty. The amount of detail that went into the city is just amazing.

Innovation 9/10: First 7th gen GTA. The game felt very complete for me. Lots of nice little touches here and there. Still looks great to look at.

Average: 9.2/10.

This is only including the GTA games I have completed the story in. I am also biased in MY own post.

GTA VC:

Story - 8/10 (I thought it was quite a good story, it had a near perfect setting with the 80's vibe and it being set it Miami, the music and drug capital of the world at the time.)

Missions - 8/10 (There was a wide variety of missions offered which spiced up the storyline.)

Overworld - 6.5/10 (The setting was quite nice but I expected more out of the game, map wise. The map was okay but compared to its predecessor, it was a satisfactory improvement. I also hated the loading sessions every time you changed city but it was a 2002 game, I cut them some slack there.)

Innovation - 7/10 (It added a lot of new items plus most of the things that were in GTA III, which is always a plus. The big thing for me was the introductions of planes.)

Overall - 7.375/10

GTA SA:

Story - 6.5/10 (The story had a few memorable characters but the storyline was too diverse, too much stuff was going on which was not fundamental for the main storyline.)

Missions - 7/10 (The missions were nice, a few unique ones but when the story becomes "bottled" when you unlock the second island, missions started to become repetitive.)

Overworld - 10/10 (The map was brilliant, I would even consider it a masterpiece, an upside to a diverse storyline is a diverse map, the map had a nice consistency with it as well.)

Innovation - 9/10 (The game set new standards for 6th generation of gaming consoles, scaring away competition. R* North added a whole bunch of new things to interact with creating hours of enjoyment. Sadly, no graphic improvements. This game was also very popular with the modding community.)

Overall - 8.125/10

GTA IV:

Story - 10/10 (The story for me was phenomenal, it had characters which were perfect for the dark, gritty environment of Liberty City. One of the best antagonists in a GTA game to this date.)

Missions - 8/10 (The missions in the game were great but some of them were not needed. The missions did become a little repetitive as the story progressed.)

Overworld - 8/10 (The map was great, it was a really dense map, just like the city it is based off of, New York. The map was a little smaller than its predecessor meaning that controllable planes had to be taken out.)

Innovation - 10/10 (This was one of the most innovative GTA's to this date, being the GTA to take the GTA franchise into the HD universe and it being one of the biggest foundations for the modding community, it brought new standards to 7th generation of gaming consoles.)

Overall - 9/10

GTA IV TLaD:

Story - 6/10 (The story for me was disappointing, it was not structured very well and it did not bring create any memorable moments or characters.)

Missions - 5/10 (The missions became very repetitive as the story was not structured very well.)

Overworld - 8/10 (Just GTA IV's map with a few extra interiors.)

Innovation - 7/10 (As the DLC was to mainly include more online missions, it done a satisfactory job with it. It failed to set a new standard as it was known for the few extra missions you could do in the multiplayer mode. There was a few bikes added but they all relevantly looked and performed the same.)

Overall - 6.5/10

GTA IV TBoGT:

Story - 7.5/10 (The story was quite good, showing the nicer side of the gritty city. It included quite a few memorable characters and some surprising moments.)

Missions - 7/10 (The missions were okay, adding a couple of distinctive missions to the mix was a nice bonus.)

Overworld - 8/10 (Just GTA IV's map with a few extra interiors.)

Innovation - 7.5/10 (As the DLC focused more on the storyline, it added a few unique vehicle and patachuting for the first time in a HD GTA game.)

Overall - 7.5/10

GTA V:

Story - 5/10 (The story was one of the worst in GTA history. With the introduction of three protagonists with very different personalities, it lost its structure as R* North struggled to create strong antagonists for the game, this concluded with a very weak storyline lacking memorable characters.)

Missions - 9/10 (It brought new types of missions which fitted with a GTA game, there may be a lack of missions but they were very unique.)

Overworld - 6.5/10 (The map is massive but massive is not always good. Compared to the city it is based off, Los Angeles and the surrounding countryside, it lacked a dense environment which its real life counterpart has. R* Norths biggest problem with this map is that it is big but it lacks density, which is always needed to create a great map. It also lacked interiors but made up for it by adding animals.)

Innovation - 8/10 (It included a vast amount of vehicle which is very nice. It also brought back planes, making it the first HD GTA to include controllable metal birds.)

Overall - 7.125/10

GTA V Online [EXTRA]:

Story - 5.5/10 (The story is not strong but it has to suit multiple characters with no personality. There is barely a storymode to the online aspect of GTA V. )

Missions - 8.5/10 (The missions are very repetitive, it follows the same pattens again and again. The content creator allowed people to create their own missions which can be very unique.)

Overworld - 7/10 (Just GTA V's map with a few extra interiors which are very useful but removed animals.)

Innovation - 9.5/10 (It brought a new platform for the team at R* North to create an online world, slightly focusing on role play while adding a mix of a free roam. I wish they would add a total free roam mode where you could disable the police and add weapon drops across the map like in GTA IV.)

Overall - 7.625/10

The Order (Best to Worst):

1. GTA IV - 9/10

2. GTA SA - 8.125/10

3. GTA Online - 7.625/10

4. GTA TBoGT - 7.5/10

5. GTA VC - 7.375/10

6. GTA V - 7.125/10

7. GTA TLaD - 6.5

I will rate some of them and later update post with other games. Also about story, i'm including characters.

GTA III

Story: 8/10 (It was possible to be better than it is, but it really isn't problem. It's still good with great characters and certain parts of story, and story itself was serious.)
Missions: 9/10 (Missions were varied and fun for game's possibilities.)
Overworld: 9.5/10 (Amazing! City felt alive with greatly done gang street activities and random shootouts, and great atmosphere.)
Innovation: 10/10

Overall - 8.5/10

GTA VC

Story: 9.5/10 (Only because it was based off Scarface & Miami Vice, besides that it's best story in the series along with IV)
Missions: 9/10 (Missions were varied and fun for game's possibilities.)
Overworld: 8.5/10 (City felt too rushed and it felt less alive than LC, but it still had great atmosphere and 80's vibe.)
Innovation: 8.5/10 (It could be better, but it can easily be one of the greatest games IMO.)

Overall - 10/10 (My favorite)

GTA SA

Story: 7.5/10 (Part of the game i don't like so much. Story in LS was great, but after leaving LS it had some great parts, but the rest wasn't good. Especially the useless SF part.)

Missions: 9.5/10 (Along with GTA V, this game has the best missions in the series. They were varied, fun and fit into the story. Though i didn't like the ones with dancing etc..)
Overworld: 10/10 (Best map in the series. For it's time it's the most detailed, varied and with great unique places. Three main cities great countryside with good use in story)
Innovation: 9.5/10 (Added new and improved previous a lot. The game is still so big with many fun and unique things to do plus great map.)

Overall - 9.3/10

GTA IV

Story: 9.8/10 (Ignoring some mini things, it's perfect. A whole different type than previous stories and greatly written.)
Missions: 7/10 (The part i found disappointing. Missions were repetitive, and many of them boring. There were only few different like TLC but the rest could've been done better)
Overworld: 9.5/10 (Great details, feel of alive city. The city looks and feel close to real NYC. Crime/ped activities on the streets were greatly done.)
Innovation: 9.3/10

Overall - 9.2/10

GTA V

Story: 6/10 (One of the worst things in the game. Totally rushed story with way less crime related things plus FIB stuff and not enough missions)
Missions: 9/10 (Missions were great except the short & useless ones, but there were only few like that. And not enough missions anyway)
Overworld: 8.5/10 (Many unused and rushed places made just for quantity. Less details than in IV and lack of gang activities in the city, no forests. Also world feels dead often.)
Innovation: 8.7/10 (Wasn't as promised, and lack many things from previous games which were done better before.)

Overall - 8.7/10

The overall ratings weren't based on the average of those four categories, simply because the standing of the gameplay mechanics and elements is more relevant to rate a game and decide its entertainment than its creativity.
