Hodgey.
for me it's been smooth and enjoyable ever since the 2nd week it was out. I guess there's at least 4 patches now? all my problems disappeared after patch 2 and I only had the occasional visual glitch. extremely rare CTD's are also gone after patch 2. I got the game around Chritmas so after the 4th patch and haven't had any major problems with it. No more than other games released these days. Carbinax
I love assassins creed , and have every game except the ps vita one. I love each for different reasons and find it really difficult to choose one, but there's no doubt that AC 3, although graphically amazing, is definitely the worst in the series. I do think they're bringing them out too fast now as I have an xbox 360 and bought AC Rogue and I got a PS4 a month or two later and just had to buy Unity, which is stunning, in comparison. It is very different, with tonnes of side missions.....maybe too many as the map is hard to navigate at times, but the actual gameplay is brilliant , and I love how you can get down a building as fast as you can get down now. I'm not very far into Unity because I got totally immersed in GTAO, but i'm definitely still a fan. I'm so glad that so far, there are no bits where im running round abstergo with a tablet , and cant run or even see the character, and do really annoying and simplistic errands for people through an earpiece. Ai®a©ob®a
I've had a few freezes but other than that it's been running good. Does anybody else like to provoke the guards just to fight with em, I like taking on four guards at once and than looting them as they write around in pain. It was starting to get predictable before unity came out , but they've made the guards more random which makes it that little bit more of a challenge. I'll take on 20 if I can LoL

Hodgey.
Best AC since AC3. I much prefer Black Flag, actually I would say Black Flag is the second best AC overall after AC 2. However I did like Unity, but I might of rated it higher if it didn't have equipment and chests that you have to unlock by either doing club competitons or with the Unity app. Still a good game though, I'd say Unity is probably th third or fourth best game in the series. I can see why people like yourself who didn't enjoy them wouldn't think as highly of Black Flag as I do. Also I think I liked Black Flag that bit more, as it was a break from the usual things that we had come used to seeing in the AC series. TheMcSame
If Rogue is as good as people are making it out to be then Ubisoft must be filling their grave. If it is really that good then it's a shame I wont be buying it because Ubisoft doesn't deserve a single penny until they get their sh*t together and make games that work properly. RyanBurnsRed
Did they invent a PC that can run it well yet? A GTX 970 paired with a Haswell or Devil's Canyon i5 and 8GB seems to do the trick. But there are still bugs here and there. I'm not worried about performance that much. I just don't know if I would enjoy the game. I loved AC4 and turned a blind eye towards this. It looks boring...and is still full retail price on Steam despite the thousands of negative reviews. I'm worried that ACV is being handled by the same team that made Watch Dogs

It might work now but at launch it was a mess. If a dev releases a game which is basically unplayable at launch (not including things that are out of their control, e.g. server problems) then they don't deserve a single penny imo. Ubisoft releases broken sh*t all the time and then they wonder why people pirate their games.

Relatively speaking, they got compensated with free games that are just as badly optimized...

Stormingz
Does anyone know what happened to the Season Pass and Gold edition of this game on Steam? It's like after they gave out the free game and DLC they only have the standard edition now. Ubisoft are no longer releasing dlc with this game other than Dead Kings (which is free to all Unity owners btw) so there is no need for the season pass or gold edition anymore. People who bought the season pass got a free game as a "sorry" from Ubisoft for releasing a cluster f*ck game. Ubisoft obviously removed the gold edition and season pass so people wouldn't be able to buy it just to get a free game from Ubisoft (I think Far Cry 4 was the popular choice). RyanBurnsRed
Ah so that's what it is. Very interesting. I knew about the free game for Season Pass holders but I thought they'd continue to release the rest of the planned DLC. Well thanks for answering my question. I've already got FC4 so it doesn't matter. I'm glad I avoided this game when I did, but now that it seems to be a little better and I have the PC to run it I'm curious to playing it. But $60 is a little steep...but we'll see. Stormingz

There shouldn't be any glitches (or at least not as much as there was at launch date) so if you do decide to buy Unity, you shouldn't find anything game breaking. As for the price of the game in comparison to value for money? I don't think its worth full retail price. The game is good because Ubisoft tried to return to AC roots, no more boats etc. the story is okay-ish, a bit predictable, but I'd say the best part of the game would be the side missions and co-op. Take what you want from this, hopefully it'll help you decide wether you'll purchase Unity or not. RyanBurnsRed
RyanBurnsRed
I'll definitely buy it, but I'm not sure if I want to spend $60 for it. I've been contemplating it for awhile now. And the fact that they cancelled the Season Pass kinda makes me feel better about getting it. What system do you play on? I'm gonna take a guess and say PS4. Stormingz
Nope. Xbox One haha. I will be honest though, I haven't touched the game in a while, after completing the main story and most of the side missions, I put it down.
