williamj87322
This game is probably the most unoptimized game I've played on my PC. Ugh.
OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
So, I got this game for Christmas and will probably start it up tomorrow after I finish Advanced Warfare. I see that there has been 4 patches released for this game. Has all the bugs and glitches been removed now? Is it playable now? Or should I wait for the 5th patch? Hit by Lightning
It's stable now in PS4. Really good game. However, farming money in this game takes time. After renovating the cafe, buying all social clubs and doing some missions I make around 16000 an hour. By this rate, it'd take a few days to save up and buy all the upgrades. You can of course buy Ubisoft "shark cards" ! That's why I like PC gaming more. One cheat mod and you will be a millionaire

Doing all the missions + renevations gets you 40k every 20 minutes making money irrelevant. You can do all that as soon as you get into Paris, too. OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
Jesus Christ, this game is still a technical mess. There are literally hundreds of texture pop in's and it's so annoying and immersion killing. Not to mention, all the NPC's I see getting stucked in an area and start to walk in place. Even during cut scenes, I'll see an NPC get caught in something in the background and will be walking in place. Ugh.Am I the only one that thinks the worst thing about the AC series is the combat? It's so boring and frustrating. I swear the counter button is broken too. I can't tell you the hundreds of times I've pressed the counter button at the correct time only for it not to register and I get hit and die. How about those long loading times too?I sincerely hope Ubisoft is working on a 5th patch for Unity. El Dildo
at this point it might be your machine... after the 2nd patch my Unity ran extremely well. I had some pop-in's (mostly objects, not usually textures) and the occasional pedestrian running in place. a few times I could actually get stuck on ledges and be unable to move during the middle of a free-run but that was rare. cutscenes have always been fine. all of these things went away after the 2nd patch. the worst thing that happens now is maybe a CTD but that's rare. the combat is actually one of the great improvements in AC Unity compared to the recent games. I love the new animations and how much better the action flows. I haven't really had any issues with the game failing to register a counter or a block or a duck/roll. also the loading times are quick. the longest I can remember waiting for a full assassination mission is between 20 and 40 seconds. hvcciookay
Is there a reason why suddenly everyone on my friends list decided to use their bundle code for it all of a sudden? Game is alright for the One now?

El Dildo
40 seconds is awfully long for a loading screen... no it's not. I said the "longest" time I can even remember waiting might have been 40 seconds and that's during the transition from open-world to specific mission scenarios where the map changes drastically. the average load times in Unity are the kind when you get when you fast-travel, and those are less than 10 seconds. you don't usually wait more than a few moments. LiniArc
Even after the performance improvement due to patch 4; the game has still got bugs as sometimes Arno gets stuck in middle of somewhere and is not able to move at all for no reason and also sometimes I am not able to attack enemy with swords. Though I gotta say that Fps has increased and loading times for coops has decreased after patch 4.
nath22
is the game fine on Xbox One now ? It's as fine as it ever will be. It's been perfectly fine since late november patches since haven't done much. If people are waiting for the framerate to be improved before they buy it they're going to be waiting a long time - Ubisoft said the 4th patch was the last. HaythamKenway
The DLC comes out next week, on 13th for PC and X1 and on 14th for PS4, if anyone even cares anymore.
BCspeed34
Got the game for Christmas on the Xbox. Played it for maybe 8 hours straight (with many visual glitches). Saved the game and quit out. A few days later I go to play and the game loads from the start. I'm done with this. ________________________________________ 専車SODO-MOTO International Vehicle Importers
Hit by Lightning
Co-op is implemented beautifully in this game! I was chilling out in Cafe de I’lle de la Cite when a guy from nowhere appeared and said "Brotherhood needs you". I joined a bunch of French players in a mission. They were so nice they waited for me to collect all the 8 sync points
Stormingz
The DLC comes out next week, on 13th for PC and X1 and on 14th for PS4, if anyone even cares anymore. Wasn't this supposed to be free? Or some form of other DLC? I swear I read somewhere that Ubisoft are giving away free DLC because they f*cked the game up pretty bad.

El Dildo
they said all along that it would be free. part of that was to make up for the issues it had during release.
Hodgey.
I picked this game up for Christmas and just finished playing it yesterday. (Main storyine anyway still have a few things to collect and a few Paris Stories to finish) I have to say though because I picked it up later and not on release that I haven't come across as many bugs/glitches that I had heard of before I started to play the game. One of the main bugs was on the first day every now and again the controls would just stop working (PS4) and Arno would not move at all and I would have to restart the game. However after that first day it never happened again and the only major bug I came across was that the game would just shut down and I would get a error code but that only happened twice and I did play it alot since I started the game. As for the storyline I dont think it was as engrossing as previous games and at times I didn't care about the person I was trying to assassinate as I didn't really understand/care about them as the main storyline felt like side missions just clumped together. I basically thought the storyline started off well up to about sequence 4 then from sequence 4 till the last sequence it dragged and I didn't feel connected to the story. At least the start and end was good though. Co-op is fun and I much prefer it to the old multiplayer that the AC games had. Side missions and collectibles are fine cant really complain except for the Nostradimus things you have to collect. Obviously I looked up how to do them online as I would of never of completed them, I do get they wanted to make puzzles harder in this game but for me this was a step to far. I like how now we have to buy skills although I will say that I dont think certain skills shouldn't have to be bought like the throwing money one but it was a nice change of pace instead of being able to do every move from the the start of the game. Companion app is fine I've never had problems with it but I just dont see why the companion app features just couldn't be in the game itself. Overall I'd say it is a average game. Not the worst (Co-op really helped this game) in the series but far from being the best. I wouldn't say from my point of view that this game hasn't harmed the series but at the same time it hasn't pushed the series forward. Not a patch on Black Flag. I'd give the game a 7.5 out of
Stormingz
f*ck those Nostradimus riddles, I actually tried to do a few without cheating and checking online, and it was the one star difficulty and my god, that must of took me at least two hours to figure out. I don't even want to attempt the five star ones.

I don't even want to attempt the five star ones. That's exactly why I looked online. I did the one star riddle under the Cafe Theatre on my own and another two star one but it just took me far to long to figure out. It would be easy I suppose if you are a French Historian and know every landmark but I dont so some riddles just meant nothing to me.
nath22
It's pushed it forward in some good ways at least. The combat is a step in the right direction and I'd like the skill stuff to be expanded on in the next game because there is potential there it was just pretty basic. Side missions were a lot better than Black Flag's 'chase this boat and destroy it' gameplay and you didn't spend 8 hours listening to other peoples conversations. The actual missions were well made, reminding me of old Hitman games for the PS2 but they just had 0 context making the whole thing feel pretty hollow. Dead Kings was released on XB1 today, I assume it's the same for PS4
Stormingz
Yeah, so much for the world feeling so "alive". I mean sure, I've never seen crowds so big in a game, and Unity done well in immersing you that way, assassinating targets in massive crowds, then watching them scurry away was pretty cool. El Dildo
for me it's been smooth and enjoyable ever since the 2nd week it was out. I guess there's at least 4 patches now? all my problems disappeared after patch 2 and I only had the occasional visual glitch. extremely rare CTD's are also gone after patch 2.
