nath22
Just noticed you can't actually used the hidden blade as a weapon in this game. f*ck you Ubisoft, that's blasphemy for the Assassin creed fans. Well they've taken out counter to win, so the hidden blade wouldn't work. I actually really like the combat system in this game, it's a big improvement on what was before anyway. When you say they removed counter to win....is it more like shadow of mordor in combat? Counter has been replaced by parry and if you time your parry well enough you stun them so you can attack. Forces you to use stealth rather than slaughter 15 people at a time. M210F

Stormingz
I prefer the combat system in Unity. I was just shocked the hidden blade wasn't actually fully in the game.
El Dildo
I really hope the next one is much better. This was awful. gotta' love people who drop in to say "this sucks" but don't say why. after giving it a couple weeks I can honestly say that AC Unity is one of the best AC games, hands down. the new animations for combat and parkour are awesome and look outstanding. Paris is huge, gorgeous, detailed, and full of stuff to do / things to collect. there's lots of variety in the missions and they're pretty much open-ended, going back to Assassin's Creed roots. the thing I hated about AC3 and parts of Black Flag is that there were so many restrictions on each mission. if you wanted to claim all the possible rewards, you were forced to do things a certain way to achieve "100% synchronization" for each memory. you had to do things the way your ancestor did in his life. but I hated that sh*t. I want to approach a mission however I want to approach it, and AC Unity goes back to that formula. AC Unity has my favorite Assassination missions of probably any AC game since the very first. they just drop you nearby the location and from there it's totally open-ended. you can scope out different entrances, create distractions or other opportunities, follow the guards on patrol, find their patterns, and look for the best way to reach your target. AC Unity gives you some bonus goals (like kill X number of guards with Phantom Blade, etc) but they don't actually hold it against you if you choose not to meet those goals. the story missions are great. the COOP missions are a lot of fun. the Templar Heists are a nice addition along with the Murder Mysteries. I love customizing all of my gear from head to toe. you can pick each individual piece of equipment (depending on what you need for a mission) and change the color. there's lots of weapons to choose from, several pistols and rifles, and of course several new tools at your disposal (like poison gas). great game all around. after installing the 2nd patch, I haven't had any noticeable bugs or crashes like other people had reported the first couple days. Der Süden
I hated AC 1, I liked AC Black Flag and I like Unity even more. Good game IMO, AC is getting better and better. Don't care about French history, but I liked the late 18th century Paris setting, the missions, the gameplay and the protag. Story was not that good, but I didn't really care. I had fun playing it. Good job Ubisoft. Edited November 26, 2014 by Nordniedersachse

Good job Ubisoft.I agree with you, I think this is one of the best AC games out there. I mean sure, it has its funny glitches and game bugs, but there are bad sides as well as good sides too. There is tons to do in this game, maybe not the best story, but I've been so sidetracked by the murder mysteries, Paris stories, social club missions, not to forget the co-op is really fun, much better than that multiplayer crap previous AC games have done. The graphics are good, Paris itself is gorgeous and I've never played an open world game that's felt so "alive" the crowds in this game are awesome, you can wreck havoc among Paris by assassinating Templars in front of big crowds and watch them all scream and scatter away. Customisation has been vastly approved, a range of gear to pick from. One thing I loved was the fact it went back to AC roots, none of that boat/pirate sh*t, one huge city and a f*ckload of rooftops and interiors, which make the new parkour system that more satisfying. I'm playing on the Xbox One, so I can't help you there GTAgameslover. Edited November 26, 2014 by Stormingz

Peregrin Brandytook
The upcoming "Dead Kings" expansion pack for Assassin's Creed Unity will be free for all players, Ubisoft announced today. El Dildo
that's an interesting move. I'm certainly not going to turn down free content, but AC Unity has been working just fine for me after the 2nd patch. at least Ubisoft can totally admit when they rushed something a little and are willing to make amends like this. can't really fault them for that. Django Fett
Unity is possibly the best Assassins Creed game ever made I mean besides all the stuff happening to it in its release week, this game allows us to be able to have as much freedom possible with no restrictions. Not to mention we can free roam with other players and do fun sh*t around the map. Looking forward to more games like this in the future from you ubisoft. xtro2000
Patch 3 was very good (at least on ps4). It fine tunes every aspect of the game stealth/parkour/fighting... everything is more fluid to control and most bugs are gone. I havent had any game breaking pb even online. Some people are still having issues with coop. Patch 4 should address frame rates which are still a bit sh*tty... I'd wait for that patch before buying the game. it's really a great game released a month too early.
Eurotrash
Ubisoft don't really seem to remember what series they are working on. After the Ezio trilogy it's like they were suddenly hit by amnesia. In Assassins Creed III you play as a native American that only wears assassin robes to piss off his templar dad. In Assassins Creed IV you play as a pirate, and not in a "I'm misunderstood" sort of way. He really is just a greedy, shameless pirate. In Assassins Creed Unity you play as an Assassin, but it kind of makes you wonder why, since it seems to portray the templars as being the good guys. And in Assassins Creed Rogue you play as, you guessed it, a templar. This is some old bullsh*t. Ubisoft's excuse for the 30 FPS cao is pretty hilarious though, "it's more cinematic" Edited December 1, 2014 by Eurotrash
MikeyBelic
Though I haven't even played 3 yet I need to ask with the announcement of Victory whether people are concerned about the Multiplayer for Unity or not. What's the multiplayer like? Is it at all like GTAO in going beyond the restraints of an online game on console? (Not gameplay wise obviously) The multiplayer in this game is far different then any others. You're now doing assassin missions with other players and must work together to beat it. The rewards are great as they upgrade your gear and give you money for weapons. You can also do them private, but the reward is not as best. You also get cool powers to benefit the other players like disguises, shared eagle vision, and assassin caches to refill ammo. It's kinda like payday 2 multiplayer where if someone f*cks up everyone is screwed. Edited December 3, 2014 by Dяno

Since Victory has already been annoucned I'm afraid that they will take that down upon release or the community will just fall apart and move on. What does everyone think? Will Victory have something similar to this and will it kill off what Unity has got?

Works fine for me. 2 small issues I've seen so far: - Minor bugs here and there. - Game was crashed today for no reason, I restarted PS4 and it worked again, and didn't lose my saves! I know for a fact it isnt my controller as if I hit to PS button and go back to the homepage then it works fine. When it happens it just annoying as I have to back out the game and load it up again.
