Downgrade property question: Vehicle space.

If I sell my 10 car property and buy a 2 car property, the cars in slots 3-10 are no longer available.

 

This is a fact.

 

However, if 3 months from now I buy a NEW 10 car property, do the vehicles I held in slots 3-10 REAPPEAR in the now open positions, or are they gone to the ether?
