  1. 1. Would you buy the Rear View Mirror if it was an LSC option?

Has anybody else wondered why there are no rear view mirrors in the game?

It would be a useful tool to have especially in races so you don't have to look backwards to see where the guy who is behind you is and risk crashing or something.

Maybe give us the option of putting it on our cars at LSC or have it so it only comes on when you are in first person camera inside the car?

Soran Is On

The 1/8th of a second it takes to click the right stick is enough. The crappy low res you'd see in mirror only in first person wouldn't be as good as just glancing back.

if wish there wasn't a weird lagg when using R3 to look behind, its instant in RDR and IV but in this it takes like a second for it to get to rear view

Same with map. In IV you could press start and instantly do a quick check on the map while still driving top speed. In V it takes too long too load up and you crash.

It is not in the game because you can click the right stick and look behind you!

You don't need a mirror!

Picture in picture takes A LOT of performance from your console, so no. It'll have to render the game two times lol, try and not get 10 fps.

GTA-Freak-Vi

I don't see a need since we can use R3 to look back.

^

I don't even use the rear view mirrors in simulation games such as Gran Turismo

I guess?

Midnight Club had them, no? But they only showed the headlights.

Maybe we could hang fluffy dice from them? I'd pay $8 mil for them at LSC thanks to the all new good value cashcard at only $99.99 :colgate:

You can hang fluffy dice from the rearview mirror of a Peyote, lol it's one of the LSC options.

I would buy it if it was an option at LSC, but it should really be standard on all cars. A small box to the top right of the screen would not be intrusive and would help keep track of what's going on behind you.

What..

I use cockpit view in a McLaren F1 = two rear view mirrors & there isn't any lag & my PS3 works fine.

Yeah i though this was stupid you don't even see the hood so you can't even see the cars that are right up next to you.

They could do something like in NFS Hot pursuit they don't show the graphics and everything of the car they just show the car in yellow to let you know that's another player/cops car.

It doesn't need to be 1080p graphics or anything just something to look back when you are in the first person camera view or maybe just make it so the mirror comes up in only that view

I think that might just be the time it takes for your eyes to adjust.

I noticed it too but realized, the graphics are so sharp in the game that it takes a second for my brain to line everything up right, esp if I look behind me or around me too fast

So this thread isn't serious, right?
I mean, I'm not hating on you, OP, you might actually be asking this for real and want a legit answer to your legit question but I seriously can't take you serious. What about heists? What about fixing bugs? Does R* really need to be asked for mirror DLC? You're taking the piss.

Nope, there is definitely a delay between when you press R3 and when the view changes. It's so bad that I don't even bother looking behind me in races, I just pull up the big boy map to see how close the person behind me is. I'd rather they fix that instead of adding a rear view mirror.

The mirrors on the vehicles have never and will never represent real "mirrors". They are just textured to look like it.

He probably means something like this

272886-midnight-club-3-dub-edition-psp-s

The black bar at the bottom showed the other racer's headlights (like BA said) which allowed you to be aware when someone was going to make a pass, or just let you know how close they were.

i'm sure it's the same on ps3 but on xbox just press the right joystick.

frame rate would go to hell if it were fully rendered but something like the midnight club solution would work well and not be too taxing on the hardware, it would make racing cleaner much easier. im all for it
