Penumbra needs an upgrade

so, one of my favorite cars, the Maibastu Penumbra, looks beautiful, but the performance is a joke, am I the only one who thinks the Penumbra needs a major upgrade in performance, its a great car with great potential, but with its poor performance, its potential is locked away in a vault...

the Grangers in Rooftop Rumble can keep up and even catch up to my fully modded Penumbra, they cant do that any of my other sports and super cars...

Which is why I said it could probably do with a minor upgrade. Those Grangers are hax fast anyway.

You're kidding right? Those Grangers are programmed to keep up with your car. I use my Jester for RR and sometimes I see them getting close to me. They often catch my Exemplar if I make one false move. Don't say a car needs improvement on the basis of Grangers catching it on RR.

 

It just needs a little improvement in acceleration. I don't think people own the Penumbra for performance anyways.

I think R* should add in a tuner class for all the outcasts. EX: sentinel, penumbra, futo...

The best upgrade it can get is if it was thrown into a damned scrap heap cos it is the ugliest piece of. R* could've easily picked a better looking, better performing car to throw in V and they picked the fugly azz spyder? Smh. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen eclipses were real nice like but the 4th.. But whatver to each their own I guess.

Penumbra has essentially the same top speed and acceleration as the Granger. Modding it doesn't make it go faster than game's imposed limit on that vehicle. Besides, it is based on Mitsubishi Eclipse and Audi TT, so it really shouldn't be on par with things like 9F, Elegy and Carbonizzare, which are borderline supercars - even in real life. I own one, btw, and think its great anyway. Wouldn't trade it for anything. It also spices up gameplay in missions, knowing you don't have the fastest car which can outrun any enemies in seconds.

the main problem is that it's acceleration is sh*t

 

it can hold it's own against other cars, but you have to be 10x more careful not to hit something if you gain a lead

I wish the prairie would have been performance and handling - mainly because I drive a black Hyundai Coupe SII Tiburon in real life And also because it took me 64 game hours to actually find a prairie when I started, it got to the point where I thought my games was glitched or they didn't exist in online

ALL Sports cars should share the exact same performance so the choice would only be focused on looks. Seriously.

 

There are so many cars and so many customizations out there, yet most of them feel wasted because people tend to go for top-end performance.

 

Lately I've seen so many Jesters it's ridiculous... I keep hearing how people miss their old sports cars they had to replace and how they simply refuse to race them because they have Jesters now given that they would rather drive a Banshee/Buffalo/Comet/Fusilade etc.

 

Honestly. This needs to change. People keep asking others and checking performance stats... If it was all balanced they would ask themselves. It should really all come down to personal preference and I'm not talking about only the Sports class...

 

All classes should be balanced. Sure, some might feel out of place but this is a video game and for example the Roosevelt is as fast as a Monroe so basically the Peyote/Manana/Tornado could be made the same and those cars look amazingly beautiful and have a wide variety of performance and racing them would be even more exciting.

 

Just imagine cruising through Los Santos at night at top speed in a Tornado with a Monroe/Z-Type/Stinger GT beside you, battling for first place...

 

Performance balance would change the whole of GTA:O for the better.

Yea my friend and i both found this car recently and although its an amazing looking car with lots of upgrade options it lacks the speed & acceleration that the other sports cars have.
