Rooftop Rumble (I know)

I know a lot of people are hung up with my other thread about Shark Cards.... but I wanted to ask why don't people call the merry weather helicopter while doing Rooftop Rumble?

It only costs $1,000 and MORE than makes up for the time it takes to complete the mission. So you basically make $17,750, but you finish it so fast that you can make more per hour (for people who grind) than you would by NOT calling for the helicopter.

Worse yet, when I do call for the helicopter nobody ever uses it.... some people don't even see it (that's fine, no problem)... but I've had many other people run up to it or see it (right in their line of sight) and it seems like they make it a point to avoid it and get in their car and drive.... meanwhile I fly to the house and wait there for a good 2-4 minutes for them to show up.

Only ONCE (I'm not exaggerating) have I had a random get in the helicopter

I even had one player call me a cheater when he arrived to the house to find me there waiting with the helicopter....

Are you gonna read our responses this time?

I wouldnt get into your helicopter either. With the amount of idiots and mission greifers playing there is a fair chance that any random is either gonna crash the copter deliberately or accidentally

If you have a super car its really not much faster. esp since you have to wait for the pilot to get there instead of killing the guys and grabbing the briefcase. Its only faster if there are 3 people and the other 2 are getting the briefcase while you are getting the heli.

Not everyone want to do it your way? If I saw someone impatiently waiting with a helicopter while I had the document I'd probably run back in the garage and drive the emperor parked there to the house. Guess who ain't on a time crunch grinding it...

sometimes the pilot is a complete dumbass and crashes, or doesn't ever land. one or the other. I just say **** it I'll drive through the insane traffic.

No need to call for helicopter, if you are good enough to drive your get away car.

Also if you are good at drive by shooting and take out the professionals on the way to Madrazo's house.

Or just wait around and take out the 4 SUV's when they show up.

It only takes me 3 and a half minutes to do by myself with driving which is probably slow even with a land vehicle. Helicopter not needed.

everytime i tried calling the chopper something dumb glitched in the game and it took me longer so i gave up.

i got the fastest path memorized it honestly dont take much longer. and its all about fun anyways.

also.... dont play with randoms. its a 1 man mission.

I once called the heli guy and he just hovered up there for several minutes, he landed very slow and later crashed into a tree ....I just drive there nowdays and using a super car like the Entity XF is much better as its bulletproof from the back and takes around 2 mins or so to get to Madrazo's house

what i dont understand tbh, why does everyone i ever played with shoot the guys at the door first? it gets the 10 guys inside shooting right away.

climb on the wall and sneak attack. sweep them all down w/ the assualt shotgun from the wall. move to the end of the wall and shoot the 1st guy in the doorway by the car. jump the wall.aim the gun at the door take the second guy out when he pops out of cover, move over to the third doorway guy same deal. grab the package last so the cars dont start coming in. barely lose any health. have the car planted at the back entrance and jet down the alley

best way to tackle this.

But dat traffic though. It is hectic once they hear gunshots.

I know exactly how you feel.

I call the helicopter, it takes like 5 extra seconds to get in but it saves at least a minute there.

Or, the guy with the package kicks you out of it and then flies off, and he takes the scenic route (takes forever, flies low, goes in wrong direction, somehow gets lost in the 5 sky scrapers) when he lands he doesn't land, he gets right above a tree and jumps out, then blows up.

God dammit.

Because its just one big ploy to get us to use shark cards man. $1000 for a chopper here, $200 for a tank there. Next thing you know R* are forcing me to buy a cash card man.

There's barely any traffic when I drive to madrazo's house when I play it but on rare circumstances, some NPCs will just make unexpected turns leading to a crash which makes them catch up and kill me with their OP drive-by's aiming(they need to nerf that a bit)

Not a problem in a Jester or XF unless it's head on :santa:

They made the npc try to help the opponents in one of the updates

Oh that's why they purposely drive into you, and make random U-Turns while driving around in circles

I'v had the helicopter pilot either land and destroy the tail rotor or have the main rotor grinding a street post more times than he lands properly. If he isn't doing that he just doesn't land. It is nice when it works.

I just calling Pegasus from now on for my Buzzard that is $200 and spawns at the hospital just around the corner..

I can clear the mission in less than five minutes, on average, with a Sanchez.

Anyways, while doing this mission over and over the past three days to save up for a Stinger, I started to wonder...why the hell is it named Rooftop Rumble?

I just use my Entity or Adder to help low levels. I take a shortcut and have the car ready, so it takes 3 minutes tops, including if someone faffs about.

I think its name was supposed to be High Priority Case but it got switched with it or something of that nature.
