Big map, way too empty.

I really don't like Gta V map, it's so big but anyway we can't enter any building. It's that the ps3 resources are being squeezed to the maximum point already? or the GTA developers just didn't wanted to spend time designing interiors. I don't know, but i'd prefer a smaller map where we could enter many buildings (without any cutscenes, so the game will still be fluent). If u think about it, a smaller map, but with more accessible buildings would give an impression of a bigger space. I don't play GTA V since the releasing (I got it in december I guess, and I stoped playing for a month or so) and I already know all the map.

So, if this game took 6 years of development, couldn't have more places to get into? this could be possible if they just hadn't add some places in the map that are totally useless. (way too much desert IMO) Even in some parts of the map, you cant even climb, and if you're without a car it's better to suicide before even trying to get somewhere.

I hope that in next GTA, taking advantage of the huge power that next generation consoles have developers will use this as an useful tool.

Might be more suitable to post this in the main gta v section, but anyway I agree. The San Andreas map was perfect as there was a point to going outside of the city as there were other cities to visit, whilst in gta v there are only deserts and mountains outside of the city, which get boring pretty quickly.

I agree. Basically two enterable buildings on the entire map (not including stores). Ridiculous. It's amazing how empty MP feels: No animals, no random events, PEDs don't even use crosswalks, etc.

I remember When GTA IV came out, people started moaning about how small it was and there was no countryside and now in GTA V, some people complain about lack of interiors and the map being to big and boring. The same people will start bitching when GTA VI comes out and complain about "too much interiors and not enough countrysides!" Some people will just never be satisfied (not talking about you OP btw)

Only thing I want in GTA VI is to bring back Fast Food restaurants and introduce new stuff hopefully :)

Map designers did a great job with V.

Then they had to scale back on graphics and environment stuff to get it playable on the old consoles.

Then someone had the brilliant idea to lock most interiors used in missions from freemodes.

I dunno what those environment designers are working on now, but hopefully it's GTA V related. Tons of places in SA that would be awesome to enter and explore.

I still remember my first playthrough thinking that there'd be a prison break mission or something using that area, but nope! :(

Blaine County is too empty.

I rarely see anyone go beyond the Alamo Sea.

Wouldn't have happened if they left what was already good about IV when making the map for V don't you think?

Now that you say this about the Jail, (btw you're right) I have to say that I thought there will be some things to explore, weapons to find, easter eggs, etc in places like Jail, Fort Zancudo, Observatory, Lab and places like that... that's the fun thing about this places, but they just made them like any building, you can't interact with them.

There are more easter eggs in a CoD map than the entirety of GTA V.

What did people like about the fast food resteraunts? I thought that was one of the most pointless things in a gta game. The whole hunger thing and buying hamburgers and crap. Whats next we gotta do laundry and get a 9-5?

Not trying to be a dick either i really am curious as to what people liked about them

Kinda odd how they removed some features from IV but they probably thought why spend more time in including interiors when there's a bigger world to explore since that's what more players wanted

Proof or Pls go.

People need to stop acting as if the consoles were holding R* back.

Far Cry was big as f*ck and had aesthetically pleasing graphics

Oblivion had tons of interiors and had decent graphics with a huge map

Fallout was a huge open world with many interiors , and the list goes on..

Fact of the matter is R* half assed V , and the "old" consoles are not to blame.

They were already scaling back interiors in IV. I suspect/hope we would have gotten a lot more interiors in V, had it not been released at the end of a console's life cycle though.

simply putting a couple of apartments or an unbuyable behicle way up north would have players running around the whole map and the countryside would be a nice thing instead of just open space.

Not gonna pretend what I said about that isn't purely speculation, but it would make sense given the crazy loading times.

It is totally possible that R* did a bad port (they've done it before) but there's bound to some kind of limitations with an open world game especially when it's online.

Just crack open the doors to all the interiors you can glitch into already and I'm sure people will be shutting up.

A lot of them actually aren't part of the map and only appear in missions they're used in.

But if they did add them, I'd totally shut up for a good week.

You are insane. There is a reason the game needs a disk to instal, and a disk to play, and takes up 8gb of memory to do it. There is hundreds of different vehicles, and way more different things than there were in oblivion or fallout. Or any game for that matter. You not realizing that this game pushed the limits of the current systems, than comparing it to those games is funny. Im sure they could have added more interiors to the game. But no they couldnt have made every building enter able and then given them all different looks. And with big buildings it would have been almost impossible not to add a cut scene or loading time to pull up completely different graphics and textures. Have that happen for online would have been a problem. What happens when someone is shooting at you and you are entering. Are you invincible while loading, when it finishes loading are you dead. What does the person who is watching you see.

There is tons of interiors you can see into, just can't get into. Examples, the East? side police station, Lesters house, Trevors Trailer, Michaels house, Both of Franklins houses. All the Fleeca banks.

Yeah, but my point was that there's a lot of them (and most of the larger and unique ones) that aren't loaded in the map.

ps4 gta will be better rememer ps3 is limited

I sure hope so!

Fair enough, point is there is a good bit of smaller interiors that are there just not open.
