Hokieguy540
Not sure if this has been posted before, but I did not see it. When I get bored on GTA online (often lately waiting on heists), I like to just drive around to see what kind of trouble I can get into and look at all the detail that Rockstar has put into the game. I always seem to come across something I've missed before. Does anyone else do this? I'm impressed at the level of detail of all the buildings and surroundings. I have never been to LA but some of the popular landmarks I know, but I'm sure there are tons that anyone who is not local would not realize is an actual location/building. I think it would be cool to see a list of all the buildings with a good in game picture of the building compared to a photo of the actual building it was designed after. RussianCommie
Yes, R* did a hell of a job with recreating L.A. through LS, as well, as Blaine County. I live in L.A., myself, so It's fun and cool to just drive around taking in the sights knowing what's what and what it's supposed to be based from. Of course, the map is made to fit in scale and can't be entirely huge, but the locations in game are pretty close to the actual locations in real life and the distance between each buildings/landmarks. Hokieguy540
Thanks for the link. I looked up my apt (Richard's Majestic) and found the real building called Constellation Place, looks identical pretty cool!
MadHaTT3R
Ive lived around the areas in the game all my life and I was astounded with how well they portrayed a lot of So Cal. Not just the LA downtown, but even out in the desert you can find landmarks that represent the real world pretty spot on. There are a few places in game, where i have driven irl and wished I could punch it like we can in game. Venice was done really good, with the dirty ass ally's and well manicured fronts....Venice is actually really dirty, but hides it well. Santa Monica pier is pretty accurate to. Theres that car wash that is in the right place off Rampart irl. There are some dramatic misses to though. The Forum is misplaced, Santa Anita racetrack is set kinda weird.....lol Ive probably spent to much time thinking about it.
