darthYENIK
I feel like there were hints of Penguin being gay the whole time. Nothing stereotypical like him loving musicals or commenting on fashion. Subtle things. It's probably the most interesting plot line this show has come up with. Queen
Well, OK. The past 2 or 3 episodes there were moments where I thought "is there something between them?" But I tossed it aside because as liberal as the show's been, I didn't think they'd actually go through with it. And yeah, Penguin has definitely been effeminate, but still, I think this is unprecedented. I'm not necessarily complaining, because yes, I think it's probably the most interesting plot line as well. There's nothing wrong with them taking new takes on the characters. That's what keeps the show interesting, frankly. darthYENIK
darthYENIK
I've actually liked the last few episodes. But... The Talon was disappointing. The Talons are supposed to be the ultimate assassins. They go in, kill their target, and no one ever sees them. That's how they can operate for hundreds of years without the world even suspecting they really exist. They're supposed to make Ra's al Ghul's league look like amateurs. Hell, they're so quiet they make Batman look like a parade with Joker as the grand Marshall. My point is, a Talon shouldn't be beaten by two kids their butler and mom. darthYENIK
Monaghan doing a full on Heath Ledger impersonation is kind of gross, in my opinion. Make the character your own, I say.
Queen
It didn't bother me all that much. I took it as a tribute, if anything. Totally bummed that we only have one more episode before 24 Legacy takes over for a few months. So lame. TheGodDamnMaster
darthYENIK
And I continue my viewing of this. Begrudgingly. They're ruining the Court of Owls still. Giving them faces, and not having their Talon be a ruthless "no witnesses" killing machine. The thing about the Court of Owls is you need to believe that no one knows about them. It took Batman his entire life to discover them. But in Gotham it seems like everyone suddenly knows them. It's not a fairytale Bruce Wayne heard as a kid and disregarded as an adult as a myth. But I'm just repeating myself.
TheGodDamnMaster
Started watching this show a few weeks back and just finished the second season. I actually kind of like it, though the timetable on things seems a bit early. By the time Bruce will be Batman all of the villains will be really old. He's about 15 in the show's continuity right now from what I gather but all of his future villains like Riddler and Penguin are in their 30's. If I read about Year One right, Bruce doesn't fully embrace the Batman persona until he's about 25. I never imagined any of the villains being much older than Bruce but I'm not a comic reader so I could be wrong. Maybe Penguin, but Riddler seemed to be a little younger to me. darthYENIK
You just have to accept that they realized that a Batman show without Batman or his fully fleshed out and adult villains is not entertaining. Or at least not as simple to make entertaining. TheGodDamnMaster
TheGodDamnMaster
I liked the premiere, though I still think it's a bit early for Bruce to be a vigilante. Penguin continues to steal every scene he's in and I'm excited to see what they do with Scarecrow. -Edit- This has been a really solid season of the show so far. I'd say it's easily the best one they've yet done. Professor Pyg was great, and they've introduced Solomon Grundy and Scarecrow too. I'm really excited for the Jerome/Penguin team-up they teased at the end of the mid-season finale. They've also released a trailer for the second half of the season, and it looks really good. I just hope they can bring enough people back to watching it so we can get another season. This is a show that has only improved with time. Queen
Poison Ivy is hot. It's sick when you realize she's really just a kid though. That was the weirdest thing, don't you think? One moment she was just some quirky little girl...and then a woman. Was that their plan all along? I get the feeling these writers are making it up as they go along. There's no real plan, and even if there is, they adjust it anyway depending on what they think people want. It's made for a rocky ride. But in the end, I do like the show. I'm very excited for the season to start up again. These breaks in between annoy the sh* t out of me. TheGodDamnMaster
darthYENIK
The plan was very transparent. The girl they had was too young and (although not ugly) plain looking. They wanted to make her sexy and didnt want to wait to see if the original actress would age gracefully into a model. Personally, I think it would be intriguing as f*ck if the young girl started seducing older men. Creepy, and unnerving, and something you dont see on network television. The worst Heath Ledger impersonation i'v had the pleasure of seeing; the ridiculous idea of teenage vigilante Batman - so many bad lines, so much bad delivery and the trailer was way too long for its own good. TheGodDamnMaster
First look at Gotham's rendition of The Joker. Many people have speculated that the Joker is going to be a clone or long lost twin of Jerome. Episode 21, the season's penultimate episode is titled "One Bad Day", which leads me to believe Jerome is going to corrupt his other half like he tried to do with Gordon in The Killing Joke. acmilano
I recently started watching this series and liked it a lot. Went through first 2 seasons and soon would catch up with the new episodes. Retro style is good, some scenes are like from pre-1990s movies and there are many characters from Batman comics. Hope this show will have a good finale. Trailers for the last season also looked great.
TheGodDamnMaster
The Dark Knight is here, and thus Gotham ends. I loved Penguin and Riddler's costumes. The Joker was pretty entertaining too. Not too happy about his hair though, but I absolutely blame Warner Brothers for not allowing them to have the iconic green strands. Overall, I really enjoyed the show. I'I'd go as far as to say that as a whole, compared to any of the Arrowverse shows, I liked it better. darthYENIK
It had its good moments and it’s bad moments. And honestly, that ending was not the best. They didn’t commit enough.
TheGodDamnMaster
That finale was pretty mediocre, yeah. Shaving off the mustache less than 10 minutes into the episodes was a slap in the face to the fans who had been waiting so long for it. The whole "Batman is just out of sight in every scene he's in" thing was super lame too. They used a full body shot of him in the last scene so they don't have the excuse of WB not allowing them to use him more. And of course the Joker's chemo look was a turn-off. darthYENIK 1 Intel Core i9-9900k | Seasonic FOCUS Plus 750W | 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHzMSI GeForce RTX2070 | WD Blue 1TB HDD | Samsung 950 PRO M.2 512GBAntec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower | MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
darthYENIK
Hopefully with Batman being fully featured in Titans season two, they’ll finally grow a pair and do a full blown Batman TV show, because if I’m being honest, they can’t do movies right, so why not go after TV?
