darthYENIK
Gotham is a Fox TV series that takes place in Gotham City before the emergence of Batman. It will follow Detective James Gordon, as he deals with the crime and corruption of Gotham City.  http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/03/11/official-website-logo-and-synopsis-for-foxs-gotham-series-revealed/    Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?  And here's the first pictures of Ben McKenzie (as Jim Gordon), Robin Taylor (as Oswald Cobblepot AKA Penguin), and Donal Logue (as Harvey Bullock)...  http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/03/18/a-good-look-at-gothams-jim-gordon-and-oswald-cobblepot-alias-the-penguin/  Ben McKenzie (James Gordon)  Robin Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot AKA Penguin)  Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock)  Also, this is an interesting look into a possible arc. It's not that big of an event in the Batman universe or anything ...   It reads, "Hero cops slay Wayne Killer".   Also, Bruce Wayne has been cast, and will appear in the show. I hope that it's picked up, but I dread that it's on Fox. They generally suck at these types of shows, and cancel them without giving them enough of a chance. Flashbacks of Firefly are coming to me. darthYENIK
This looks pretty good, when is it going to air? I'm pretty sure it's either fall of 2014, or sometime in 2015. Â First off, I'd appreciate if you didn't make single image posts, unless it contributes to the topic, as in a new screenshot of the show we are discussing. And secondly... Â EDIT: Speaking of Arrow, I would hope these shows would be connected. Green Arrow, Flash, and Batman, that's a good chunk of the big hitters of DC. But I'm thinking they won't be because of them being on different networks, as well as Gotham taking place a significant time before Batman even exists. CatDog96
Seems like it might be good, I haven't seen anything with Ben McKenzie in it except Batman: Year One and I think he did a good job voicing batman hopefully he does a good job as James Gordon and I really like Robin Taylor, I think he will be good as The Penguin. Â DC for life muthaf*cka. Â Marvel is better. DJ Arrt

IDredMan
Okay, since we're doing this. I enjoy a lot of DC movies, while Man Of Steel wasn't particularly a Superman movie, it was enjoyable from an action movie standpoint. Â But DC lost me when this happened. Zepren
Movies? Marvel > DC TV shows? DC > Marvel  Simples.  I'm intrigued by this. I'm gonna give it a chance but AoS has kind of dampened my want for a non-superhero comic TV show. Arrow's been unreal lately. I hope Arrow, Flash and Gotham all share villains or crossover in other ways. I know Gotham is set in the past for Batman but that doesn't necessarily put it in the past for Arrow and Flash because their TV timelines can be totally different. If they do crossover, I hope they don't make a big deal about it. Like, a gotham detective is about to be taken out when the villain gets hit by an arrow and then Arrow pops up out of the blue to kick ass. That'd be cool. I guess I'll wait till it airs to see.
IDredMan
Okay, so ... The Dark Knight trilogy won't be tied in to Justice League because it was too dark or something (I have no idea how they didn't think Man Of Steel was dark ...Or how they considered it a Superman movie). I'm guessing Green Arrow and The Flash will be made in the TV series then put in Justice League. I don't really know where the DC Cinematic Universe is going (Again, sorry for the MCU innuendo)

Between (the shows that come to mind) Vikings and Sons of Anarchy, he definitely fits the bill of a Gotham detective

IDredMan
@iDredMan   How exactly is Man of Steel not a superman movie? Why do people keep criticizing it every time Superman is mentioned?  Because Superman is supposed to stand for hope and awesome. And is generally meant to be a fun character to watch or read. We instead got 2012 directed by Christopher Nolan and Michael Bay.  To sum it up: It's not an S, it doesn't stand for hope. It's a $. It's just poor scope from Zack Snyder and co and poor handling of the property by WB. Or just straight up ignorance in hunt of a few bucks. It's sad.
