ThousandFangs
I think it is pointless for the free roam map to have limits. If it didn't, so much more could be implimented. Not to mention, it would give a larger reason and desire for water-based missions/scenarios.

Malibu454
I think of we keep traveling east from the east coast we should eventually end up on the west coast., Edited March 19, 2014 by Malibu454
ThousandFangs
They could at least extend the map limits farther out, at the least, if possible, due to console limits.
ZakeBudek
The console only renders a certain radius, so the map could be virtually endless - storage and creation time are the only limits. What I mean to say is, the map could be twice as big, say from 8 to 16 GB and it shouldn't affect console performance. With a fast enough internet speed, the map could be hosted somewhere else entirely. The question is really what value or experience does it add? When I first started playing, the trip to Sandy Shores let alone Paleto Bay felt like it took forever. Being familiar with the map, we all feel limited now and know the travel time is pretty quick, but what else could really be out there? North Yankton would be interesting, maybe a few places that are geographically set apart like that. It would be cool to take a long drive to see some unique scenery, a redwood forest or Tijuana-type town, or be able to book a flight (with car cargo) to N Yankton. But ultimately the map is pretty big now - I suggest stopping and looking around once in a while, there are some cool places scattered in the hills already. MrCamo
I don't know if it really would be a benefit. If you go all the way out to the edge nobody is going to even come close. Try swimming in from the edge of the map, it's actually quite large as is.

Dr Murder
IMHO the entire underwater area was a f*ckin waste of space.. That entire area would be a whole LS city
