What is the best way to get a world record?

I am trying to get a world record because that is how you unlock certain tattoos but some of them just seem humanly impossible to do.

It would help if they'd fixed the people that hack/glitched their time in the early days of GTAO... there are some impossible times that have been set... if these have been corrected however, disregard what I've said - I don't know anymore because I hardly if at all race.

I got one for number of pine cones you can fit in badgers rectum , you just have to pick something original , it was 7 by the way

The best is way is as follows:

• First do all the races so a check mark is beside the races you've done. Everything out now has already had a hacker with their hands in it so good luck.
• Every time you go on check for races you haven't done. If one shows up new then race it and see if you have a chance to get it.
• They always verify long before they announce so you can get lucky and grab a race that no hackers have had a crack at yet and get a World Record on it. Remember, the easier the race the quicker people will set high times.
• Lastly, you have to be a good racer. Even on the ones that have been out for 5 minutes they will be populated on the random list and people will pick them so you'll have times to beat so practice a lot on your vehicle of choice.
• I also recommend getting an Akuma, Batti or Double T World Record bike.
• If at first you don't succeed. Sure trying again may be an option, but if you can't handle the Akuma then try something else. Maybe that track isn't your answer. You should know after 5 runs if you have a shot at it or not.
• Drive on the edge. On my fastest times there has always been one lap where I cut a corner so close the checkpoint didn't take or I took a corner so fast I crashed. If that's happening then you're doing it right. You need to be right on the edge of all of it which means at some point you're going to fall off the edge.
• You're never fastest on the first lap. If you're doing one lap on a lap race you're never going to get the best time.

I got a world record once on a race with a time I know I've beaten before so who knows. sh*t's random.

I almost got a world record on a one lap race of Criminal Records. In fact I think I did by a few seconds but the game doesn't seem to recognize it. I did it with a fully modded Turismo.

On both of my characters, there have been race load glitches, probably due the Rockstar "cloud" timing out when loading the race, and the world record time did not load, it just showed --:-- on the world record time. I think these happened when I was at the next job voting screen and selected one.

 

Anyway, when this happened, after I finished the race in my usual sh*tty time, I got the notification that I got a world record and unlocked the tattoo. Woohoo!

 

In my opinion, that's the only realistic way to get that unlock. The world record times are ridiculous. Playing the game "the way it's meant to be played" and trying to get an honest world record would be an exercise in ultimate frustration.

Travel back in time to Oct. 1st where the servers were all messed up and you got the World Record every time you raced.

 

That's how I got my racing blonde tattoo and I've been wearing it ever since.

Yeah, I've also gotten a world record for the race @ the maze bank arena.

With motorcycle, drive at the inner side.

About 24 secs was mine.

It's not. The world record for American Cycle for example...which is a regular bike race...is held by a motorcycle. Hasn't been changed.

unless they reset the times, right now its kinda impossible as many races have 10 second world records or less.

 

i achieved mine on the early days of gtao, it was the señora desert race i finished that race in like 2:10.

 

held the record for a couple hours, til some one managed to do the race in like 15 seconds.
