IT BETTER, heard GTA V on PS4 is nigh...I want my cars and 3 million to be able to transfer over. MY THEORY is that it WILL as Rockstar keeps your online profile in the cloud...thoughts.

Lol it won't be coming out or announced to be on next gen platforms, until rockstar announces it. Not everything you see on the internet is true. Edited by Cartmaj

I would tend to think since the save data really doesn't have any bearing on how the gane itself functions, it's merely statistical attributes, that it would port over to the new version when and "if" it's released. I believe it did the same for those who upgraded with Ghosts and AC Black Flag, but expect to pay for the newer digital version, it won't be free as you are essentially getting a whole new copy of the game.

Honestly, in the games I have for my PS3: I have NEVER EVER had it freeze up on me. Until Rockstar released GTA5 on the console. I've had a lot more console freezes than necessary if they had it released for next gen.

You're an idiot if you don't know for SURE that there will be a next gen version. You're right about the PC version probably coming out first though.

 

It is 100% guarantee that GTA V will be coming out for Xbone and PS4.

 

The only question will be whether it will be Digital Download ONLY or if there will be a physical copy of the game.

You know what they say about assumption being the mother of all f*ck-ups right? R* has never confirmed or denied it is planned, they've only said they aren't currently working on it. So we can only speculate, might want to keep the name-calling to a minimum on the subject eh?

They did say they'd create it if there is a lot of demand. The demand is there. I guess the PC/PS4/Xbone people will get a more polished version, that's why it takes so long.

 

Besides, I never ever had my PS3 freeze except by the web browser. Ouch. I remember having a game library for PS2 that had every game freeze/crash/corrupt saves.

It's never coming to Next Gen, Maybe PC, but definitely not next gen, GTA 6 or whatever they call it will be on Next Gen.

They'd better ! I logged into a different PS3, and everything was still there. It makes no sense not to copy everything over from an older console.. Especially since they have such big ideas for Online

PC had SA too, did that stop R* from making IV (porting over to) for the PC ?

The interviews I have read would lead me to believe that:

 

A) GTA Online will be transferred to next gen.. whether it is bundled with a next gen port of GTA V or not is a little more uncertain, but I believe that it will be...

 

B) your current character stats (and most likely money/cars/etc) will transfer to the next gen GTA online...

I'm interested to see how long it will take for them to release it on PS4/X1. Will it be a larger map? Animals online? Jets available online? Will it just be a simple port? Which ported version will PC get?

I kinda hope they dont transfer character data if they did. Considering how many player accounts have been affected by glitches and exploits. Transferring those could push new players away. And theres already a huge drop in the number if people playing.

I don't think they spent all that time on gta not to make a version for next gen consoles ffs.

I don't have sources but they WILL have a next gen version come out, question is; will it be worth it?

Of course it will have some kind of fee. Even porting a game costs them resources.

I hope they do have some kind of deal for trading in your current copy.

before the game was released rockstar stated it wont be released on the next gen.

ill stick with that.
