you got any more info, when does it happen (loading screens, mission lobbies, just in general gameplay),

 

what happens, do you have to dashboard to fix it, reset console, log out of online?

 

do you get any issues w SP freezing?

 

have you reported it to rockstar?

Happens in free mode, load screens and In missions. Hard locks, have to power off. Don't play single player.

Yea it doesn't help. I've been playing since release and it just started doing it quite often after the latest patch. I'm also getting tons of unknown network errors now too. It was pretty rare before the last patch. Lots of people are having the issue, nothing will fix it but the next patch hopefully. Sometimes it happens every 5 minutes and sometimes it doesn't happen for an hour. Not quite sure what's triggering it.

there are definitely some dodgy things going on with cloud servers, but i do think R* are making some changes and potentially adding new verified content.

I constantly get lagged out and disconnected from groups of players. But I've only ever had the console freeze once and that was in single player.

deleted all GTA 5 content. Installed and re-updated. 20 min in had to do a hard reset. They need to get it together.

Before you do this make sure ur profile and game saves are backed up. I used a usb stick.

 

This might help. On ps3 there is an option to format. This gives you quick or full format option. I did the full format. It took about 2 hours to be completed. I then reinstalled the game data and the update. For the first time I played all night with no freezes.

Me too I cant go 5m without this game freezing. I callef their tech line and they sent an email with the usual tech help and just finishef thay so im going to test it now

 

 

Edit: After reinstalling and restoring system files game is still freezing.

 

 

Only thing I can do is press the power button.

 

I hope r* is looking into this

I haven't played for days because 1.11 was freezing my console every ten minutes. I'm not sacrificing my consoles HDD just to play this game.

will wait until next patch and see if the problem is fixed until then I'm playing other new games and some single player

Hopefully they fix it soon. I dont want to play any other games. I have psn plus so im gonna see what else I can play until the fix hopefully something on there is good to tide me over

Now I'm starting to lag as well, moving cursor around the map screen it shows down and pauses randomly.

Played after a long while about four hours, pretty much stringed together. No problems - but it was only racing and in and out invite only lobbies.

 

I suspect it is not down to the actual base game, or console, but rather similar to "tow truck freeze" issues - ala assets that are throwing unhandled errors.
