I turned it off after a week or so because I feel like this game just makes the controller vibrate way too much. If you're driving on anything other than asphalt, you'll constantly have a vibrating controller in your hand. No bueno.

Never use vibrate. If I leave it on it turns me on.

Do you play the game with your penis?

I was expecting someone to comment on vibrate in a sexual context within the first 5 posts. I was right. Let's all take a moment to laugh at the fact that some sex toys also vibrate. Tee heee heee. Ok now no more comments from people going through puberty please.

I do love the vibrate function but, after getting 2 days of play before needing to charge the pad compared to a week of my usual gaming habits with it off, it's turned off now.

True, and knowing that this entire thread could easily be derailed just because it has the word "vibrate" in it.

Yes. I cannot stand it, i find to be an annoying feature in most games.

I agree. I will keep it turned off until they make it do something a little more complicated than just vibrate. It doesn't add to the realism of the experience at all IMO. Now, if they could actually make it jerk to one side, like giving you some recoil when you shoot, that would be cool. Does anybody know if the next gen consoles (actually I guess they're current gen now) have any improvements in this area?

Well, the graphics are at least 10% better, so there is no telling what other marvels they might hold.

It's annoying as sh*t when flying and driving on a messy terrain.

Also, sometimes I would go afk, leave, come back, and see my controller vibrating on the floor because Simeon is calling me to annoy my ass.

I turned vibration off and never looked back.

I keep it on. It makes the game more realistic.

It just makes me feel like my controller is vibrating.

I turned it off for two reasons, no, three reasons.

1. It's an overused effect in GTAV, as was mentioned above.

2. Whenever I would drift over to the median on the Ocean Highway, those out-of-lane pits that they simulated so well, make the controller vibrate full scale continuously, very annoying. I don't think there is any parameter for setting vibration level in these console controllers- it's all or nothing.

3. I used to leave the console on all night, rubber-banding the controller, so Michael would accumulate enough money to buy the golf course. A couple of times, I left the controller on a hard surface, and when there was thunder, the controller would buzz and rattle all over the tabletop, which as the time was in the bedroom and it woke me up.

I always turn off vibrate, all it does is draw more power from the batteries so they deplete quicker.
