Suggestion - Racing Preferences Option

To find a good race i actually want to do, it takes around 30-45 minutes. I jump from quick race to quick race only to find another crappy race. I find myself asking why racing sucks so much in GTA5, when in GTA4 there was NEVER a race i skipped - every single one (yes even pickups on duck and weave) was entertaining and fun.

 

Some people want to race with custom vehicles off which is understandable in order to unlock car parts, some people want to race with catchup on to keep the whole field together, some people want slipstream just because its realistic. everyone has their own taste.

 

Personally, I love to race circuit tracks with more than 1 lap, custom vehicles on, catchup off, and slipstream on. Ive grown tired of everyone doing these long drag races like Long Haul 2 and The Commute - they dont seem like racing as much as 'who has the fastest car and doesnt get crashed'

 

Suggestion: Incorporate a Preferences page for quick jobs. Have tabs for racing, deathmatches, missions, etc.

 

Racing:

 

type of race - Circuit / Point to Point / both

custom vehicles - on / off / both

catchup - on / off / both

slipstream - on / off / both

 

 

 

bring on the 'go to forza' messages.....

it's these damn retarded custom races that have really ruined it for me.

 

I can live with playing a game with one or 2 settings set to something I don't like

but if the entire race seems to be made by a retarded 2 year old it's just too much for me.

I'd prefer an option to select preferred class of car. When 95 out of aa 100 races are super cars it often takes ages to find a lobby where the host isn't just spamming super cars every race. They you do finally find one only to hear some squeaker whine over the head set "Put it on Suuuuuuppppeeeerrrs" Shut the f*ck up kid. If you want to race supers just join any one of the other thousand races going on right now of which 999 are racing super cars.

 

Come to think of it I dont even care if I get the option to choose which class im in as long as I can opt out of super cars.

I know not everyone has custom coupes, sedans or SUVs but a bit of variety won't kill you.

I agree I hate most of the circuits, too shorts too many curves. I get it R* wants to keep the game mechanics happy and nice little tracks do that, but I want some 4 or 5 minute laps with cars hitting top speeds.

you should speak to LuapYllier and setup a QoTD vs RRR night, your sure to get some good variance of racing classes and tracks..

Long lap race (dipping in is great) or good point to point (pier 2 pier or grand tour).

Custom vehicles definitely on.

Used to prefer catchup off but really don't care.

Same with slipstream, don't care.

As far as custom races, I enjoy playing peoples' creations, doesn't bother me the least bit. Some are actually pretty decent.
