Lots of snitches in GTA Online

Recommended Posts

I'm all for snitching. A lot of people don't seem to realize that basically all cheating affects everyone's gameplay experience. Everyone can easily tell why godmode, invisibilty glitches etc. takes away all fun in the game. But what does it matter that someone has glitched tens of millions, you may ask? Because they have all the dough they need, there's hardly a battle for Simeon cars, Armored trucks and crate drops. They won't think twice about throwing out 20 stickies and possibly blowing their own Adder up in the meantime. And just try to get someone to get someone into your bombed supercar...they'll just blow it up instead of trying out that ride which they wouldn't be able to afford.

I have to admit that the lvl 1000 players do make the game nicer: At least it's obvious they cheated and give me good reason and great pleasure in hunting them down.

I only reported one douche for killing me in my garage. Anything else I can give 2 sh*ts about.

I know I'm the pot calling the kettle black cause I like cool cars and $$.

But killing someone who's unarmed and can't even take cover is a dick move.

Would it be wrong for me to start a thread in meet ups to hunt these garage killing f$&kers down?

I wouldn't post GTs publicly, just by pm if someone wants to go hunting..

Any thoughts?

I think I reported one person who was cheating and smack talking and ramming all at the same time. I had no problem saying it out loud that I planned to report him and then leave. He tried to act like he didn't do anything and you could tell by his smug reaction that he knew and in reality didn't care.

That's how I usually weigh it too. If it's annoying enough to block the person and leave then it's annoying enough to report.

The reality is that if you're using any of those options then you've opened yourself to being reported. For those vindictive people that report I highly doubt they look at one offense as anything bad and I doubt even a human looks at it. Enough reports etc. just put you in bad sport kinda thing. They're looking for people that constantly cheat. Even the 1,000 level guys don't seem to disappear for good.

So in effective, people can snitch all they want and if you don't like being reported then don't do anything that warrants being reported and you'll be fine.

Solid Scorpion

I don't bother to report anyone.

Where I grew up you can't trust "grasses" and they always end up shunned and all alone.

If someone's pissing you off or you're jelous of a car they might have, just switch sessions,

or if you feel the need report them, tell them they're a naughty boy because they will totally listen and clean up their act and not just create a new account if they get banned.

Someone glitching money/rare cars/RP etc doesn't effect me personaly. God mode does and pisses me off, so I'll just switch session.

If someone you are having a battle with is using exploits to gain an unfair advantage over you, why wouldn't you report them for it?

God-Mode/temp. invulnerability glitch, 'passive mode' (you can aim but can't shoot), wall breaches, invisibility, teleporting, are all hack/glitches that shouldn't be used in public lobbies.

If someone has a really high R.P. and loads of money, nice cars, like to fly fighter jets - great, more power to them.

If that is how they want to play fine, no problem - as long as they don't cause me any problems I couldn't give a fcuk :0)

If someone's obviously doing something that's a gamebreaking act, I will report. If someone's being generally toxic in a session, I will report. It makes no sense to report someone who's like level 500 because you can assume they cheated to get there, but you can't confirm it. Reporting is only for "in the act of", not "I think he/she did it at one point or another."

I'm honestly surprised you guys really give a sh*t to report them, that's so much effort for literally nothing. You'll never meet that person again I imagine, so as to how you're going to remember his name, report him, and await for action is hilarious.

Good. I'm too lazy to do it but honestly if you want to sh*t on the other people you play with by cheating online then you get what you deserve if someone snitches you out.

I think as the saying goes.... Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

So what!! Why should people be able to cheat to get ahead in a game, sure the game mechanics have allowed it but that doesn't make it right.

Join another room, and go on with life. Regardless if you don't like it or not, people are going to cheat in this game. It will always happen, there's no going around it.

That way of thinking is exactly what's wrong with online games, people don't think giving feedback (which "snitching" is in a way) matters, when it does. If you don't speak up, you have no right to speak out.

I have yet to report anyone, but if you shoot me in my garage, be forewarned, i'm armed with a PVR and you are getting banhammered! I don't mind having a face-to-face shootout with you, but to kill someone that has no access to weapons and can't fight you back is some b*tchass sh*t. As far as the glitchers are concerned, you can dupe, swap, SP2MP all day just don't ask me to help you. Lastly, I'm seriously butthurt about the ppl that got to DNS their way to 1000, the 5 yr old inside of me wanted to be the first legit 1000;however, I don't report them, I just pray Rockstar has some trick up their sleeve down the road. Like I hope they have to wear an ugly hat, worse than the BS duncecap FOREVER!

You down one cheater, another one pops up. You report one cheater, another one comes out. You kill a cheater, another one kills you. It's a never ending line, why can't you guys just go on with life instead of wasting time for something Rockstar won't even pay attention to.

Its not really snitching.

You can only snitch to a cop.

This is a game. People need to play alone if they want to cheat/mod all day and avoid getting reported.

I love it when people refer to others online as "snitches". If someone's using a game changing glitch, they could (and probably have) passed it off to others on the server..cut the snake at the head and report the person.

If cheaters don't want to get reported they should play alone or invite only.

Thats the bottom line.

My only real reporting spree was with NoS on PVs.

Once ONE player started using it in races.. That was it for me.

And guess what, R* removed it int he last patch. So reporting does work.

I feel like they removed it because people found a way to get it before the patch for it was to be released, I don't think it had anything to do with you reporting them.
