What are JP for

Like we get job points for doing missions & stuff but what are they for if we cant use them for anything?

Jerk Points. You get more if you jerk a lot harder then the other people in your session.

Mainly for playlists. Allows you to determine the winner of playlists. Other than that nothing.

I think some files in the game showed that job points will be needed to start heists.

When Heists eventually come they'll require a certain number of job points in order to initiate.

Job Points. If you have a certain amount you will be able to do a heist mission when they come out. Hope this helps!

When voting on what mission/ race to do next if there is a deadlock the choice selected by the person with the most JP points will be selected.
